ˡᵃʳᵏˢᵗᵃʳ shivered. The elders had just finished burying Rosepaw, and Larkstar felt grief creeping over her now that the shock of losing an apprentice was wearing off. How many cats would die before this was over? Larkstar longed to curl up beside Fallenheart, to be comforted by her mate's presence. But she knew that things would be tense until this mystery was solved. Still perhaps it wouldn't do any harm to talk to him? He should be back by now. Walking out of her den, she glanced around until she found him. "Fallenheart, I'd like to speak with you privately." Again, she thought. She didn't let any expression show, though her stress was threatening to break through. The tip of her tail quivered. She would have to comfort the Clan, get them through this time. It wouldn't be easy.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ felt his teeth grind, his claws digging into the dirt. Who could help him figure this out? He glanced over to where Copperwhisker stood. She was there when this all happened. He padded over, sheathing his claws. "Copperwhisker, do you have a moment?" Perhaps the she-cat could give him some clues about Rosepaw's killer? At least, she could help him figure out if it was Fallenheart or not. The leader was speaking with her mate now, probably trying to figure the same thing out. Volepaw felt his heart stutter when he thought about Rosepaw. He'd wanted to be with her, as more than friends someday. Now she was gone. Volepaw had nobody, unless you counted his mentor. But Nightfrost tended to be...well, frosty.

ˢᵗᵒʳᵐᶜˡᵒᵘᵈ left the freshkill pile, taking prey to the elders and queens before settling down with a starling. He ate slowly, letting the sun warm his pelt. Leaf-fall was coming, so the sun seemed father away than usual. A tiny leaf fluttered down as though reading his mind, landing gently by his paws. Stormcloud finished eating, and looked up. Morningsound was adjusting well, he thought. A few cats had introduced themselves, being surprisingly welcoming. Cats of Duskclan usually hated loners, but since Whitestar was a former rogue, the Clan had been less judgmental. Stormcloud thought about the drama in Dawnclan, and was glad he didn't have to be a part of it.

ᶤᵛʸᵖᵃʷ trotted over to Ebonypaw. "I know it's getting late, but would you like to do something? We could join a patrol, since cats are trying to find any other possible killers." She knew Ebonypaw was still in pain, as was she. But maybe getting out of camp would be a distraction from the sadness. Plus she hadn't spent any time with Ebonypaw since the death of his mother. Ivypaw's green eyes flashed when her emotions got the best of her. Anger and sadness at all that'd transpired.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ could see her curiosity. She probably thought he would ask about Nightfrost, but that wasn't so. "From the evidence that you saw..." he began. Swallowing, he looked Copperwhisker dead in the eyes. "Based on what you saw, do you honestly believe with every hair on your pelt, that Fallenheart killed Rosepaw?" His pelt was flat, but his eyes still shone with the fire of vengeance. Before she could answer he added, "She was going to be my mate someday. I was going to ask her right after our warrior ceremony. She's...she's gone now, and so the least I can do is avenge her memory by catching the monster that ended her life. I need you to help me find this cat." He knew it was a lot to ask, but he also knew that Copperwhisker was a strong and able she-cat.
