I hear murmuring outside, I can barley hear it under all the layers of cloth and leather I sleep under. Its later in the morning than I thought it was, well thats is later than my usual three-o-clock morning pick pocketing. I shift the the jackets and other fur coats of me and ajust my clothing putting on my cloak and opening my door. I walk just a little bit down the corridor and hear banter between what looks like Fabian, Rune, Silence, amd Torch.i walk over and lean one elbow against the wall and interupt "aren't you looking fine this morning, im guessing lady luck favors some thieves more than others"I can see that Rune is a bit wound up so hopefully a little friendly teasing will calm her down."Go on get changed im sure Fabian has better things to do than argue with someone who smells of swamp" I smile a bit to let her know its all just friendly bickering.

Fabian reached over across the table to grasp the jug - made out of pewter, he thought - and in the process hooked a spare mug on his little finger. Placing them on the table edge, he poured himself a hearty drink and lifted it to his lips to take a long draught, one ear focused on listening to the young woman as she taunted and teased him. Unfortunately her words left him spluttering in laughter and the thief had to cough a few times to regain his composure.

Lowering the rim from his mouth Fabian fixed Rune with an amused stare, lips quirking upwards at the corners. "You really think that of me? You should know that I never squirm." He retorted, and turned to the guild leader present as she commented on how "shameless" they were being. Shaking his head. "I can also assure all of you that I've never been caught and I'm not shameless, either." Now his eyes took a better look at Rune's attire and he moved to push her towards the doorway. "However, Rune does look like a drowned rat."

I typed this up and it was better but then I lost it: sorry it's so bad

Rune turned her head towards Miri who seemed to be against her taunting, but the girl simply smiled, "Oh, come now, Miri. Can't I have some innocent fun?" she asked, the golden flicker in her eyes shimmering brighter as she thought about it. Don't get me wrong, Rune was never interested in Fabian that much, she simply thought of him as one of the smarter and more fun ones in the guild, not to mention she liked him the most when it came to being friends and thieving. It just so happened that he was the first one who opened his mouth this morning and she never passes up an opportunity for taunting. The girl let out a giggle when the man choked on his drink and retorted to her words, and she couldn't help but laugh when he commented her appearance. If she wasn't in a good mood, she would've lunged at him and shoved a dagger up his gut, but strangely, Rune didn't feel like it today. She noticed when Fox entered the room and she just nodded and smiled, then turned to face Avis again. "Fabian? Can we talk in private for a moment? I've been meaning to ask you something..." she asked quietly, glancing at the group of people around the table. The girl slowly started walking backwards, waiting for the man's answer with a faint smile.

It seemed that Rune was thinking along the same lines of him in regards to taunting and teasing tones. She didn't respond, however, to his comnent on her soaking clothes - he caught the dangerous glint in her olive eyes but it passed before he could say a word. And yet she wad distracted anyway by Fox's entrance so it did not matter. While he waited, he took another gulp of his drink and raised his eyebrows at her request.

"Of course," he rumbled with a smile. Snatching up the leather purse and clipping it back to his belt, Avis gestured with his spare hand, "lead the way." Not trusting to leave his drink with his fellow guild members (who knew if they'd put something in it) Fabian waited for the younger woman to begin moving.

Rune nodded at the man's words and began moving towards the hallway. Their hideout always seemed like a maze to her and she was always amazed at how quick she managed to memorize every turn, door and shaft, though she did have her moments of forgetting herself in a place so big. When she finally lead Fabian to her room, she pushed the heavy old door open and gestured to him to come in. Her room was nothing special; the size was the same as it was for everyone, but this room was probably a bit messier than the rest. There was a wooden table in the corner overflown with different documents and important papers which contained various blueprints and information about the richer merchants and guards. The girl walked to the table and looked over it, then shook her head and didn't even feel like looking for that certain paper, then turned and looked at Fabian. ''So. I wanted to give you a... business proposition, if you'd call it like that.'' she started, crossing her arms and leaning against the table, her olive gaze stuck to the man with a shimmer of... reluctance. It was rare when the girl asked someone for help, let alone doing it in this way. ''I've been eying a house in the past few weeks. It belongs to a wealthy merchant who came to Carvel a month ago in hopes of settling down with his wife. From what I've gathered, he's been to every corner of the world and he's got items you could only find in your wildest dreams.'' the girl continued, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. Rune glanced at Avis, then continued with her story, ''Now, for a job this big, I need help. And you're the only person who I actually trust with information like this, and I'm hoping you won't say no, though I'm not going to push you to help me. It's up to you, Fabian. But, I can assure you, it will be worth it.'' she finished, interested in the man's answer. It could go either way, in her mind.

Veron raised his eyebrows and refused to look at Rune and Fabian
as they headed for her room. He knew certain... shenanigans were not necessarily
uncommon, and the light teasing between the two made him assume there was
something going on. Usually, Rune would threaten to wound another person for
such a comment, but he was glad to see her in good spirits.

Miri cleared her throat as they left, glancing at Tommy and realizing
he was thinking the same thing she was. She stifled a sigh and leaned back in her
chair. "So I've had a little success in scoping out the guard captain's estate recently,"
she began. "There's always someone outside nearby, but I haven't seen guards or
security going in or out. Once we know if there's someone protecting his house inside
or not, I say we make a plan." She had a devious glint in her eyes. "We oughta teach
him that he can't mess with us."

I smile and laugh "I've been waiting for this, I'm in" miri has absolutely made my day. "so what do you suggest we do? I'd like to put a pig in his bed, that'll teach him a lesson he won't soon forget"I chuckle I don't care what happens to the old hound, I didn't forget the things he did so I hope that he won't forget this either. I wonder what treasures are hidden in that rich house of his.

She lead the way quickly and quietly: their steps were the only sound in the silence. The entire guild area was a complete mess of streets, of twists and turns: doors could appear out of nowhere, and the path could suddenly slope downwards without any hint of a warning. And yet it was home to him and his fellow guild members: it was a place where they could sleep in safety, talk in peace. They might have been thieves, but they were doing it for a good reason (although he himself particularly enjoyed the rush of adrenaline).

They arrived at Rune's door and she pushed it open and lead him inside. The entire room was a mess but who was he to judge? His room wasn't much better. Standing near the doorway, he closed the door with a sharp kick of his left foot and leaned against the door, arms crossed against his chest. But when she began speaking, she certainly did not beat around the bush. Avis' interest was immediately peaked and he listened with keen interest. "I've heard of the merchant: he's all the talk on the streets, but he doesn't seem to know that we exist," a slight upturn of his lips in a smirk, "of course I'm interested. I'm honoured to work with you, Rune." Stepping forwards, he offered his hand to secure the deal with a shake. What type of things would this merchant have? Expensive wine would be something nice to steal for himself.

The girl nodded, took a step forward and shook the man's hand, then returned to her table. Rune started unfolding various papers, some important some not, and as she found the ones she was looking for, the girl put them aside, creating a small pile on the edge of her wooden table. ''There's a catch to it, too.'' she started, quickly unfolding the papers she found and ghosting over them with her gaze, ''It's true; the man doesn't seem to know about us. But, he keeps guards around his house and their schedule is well thought out, I haven't managed to find a suitable time for us to break in.'' she said, handing Fabian the paper with the guard's schedules and moving onto the next paper. She found this fun; thinking of ways for outsmarting their targets, creating a whole plan for it and eventually executing it, it was one of the many joys of being a thief. Not to mention the adrenaline when a guard catches you and tries to drag you to jail. Priceless. After a few moments, Rune opened her mouth again, ''Also, the house is not in the favorable part of the city. It's in the main district, which is always crowded, be it day or night. We might have a problem with that...'' she said, her voice trailing off as she continued reading the papers and thinking of the whole plan. This is going to take a while. ''Oh, and be so kind and don't tell anyone about this, ok? I'm really not in the mood for sharing that much... she added a moment later, a slight smirk visible on her face.

Avis took the offered parchment and cast his gaze over the inked writing, taking note of the times. They were all very, very close together, and it would be more than difficult to get into the house, never mind stealing whatever they could and then escaping. Each gap was barely a couple of minutes, and that would not be enough for them to rush in and pick any locks. Chewing the inside of his cheek as he thought, the thief glanced briefly up to watch Rune - now his business partner - as she studied the rest of the pile. "We're going to need a distraction." He decided out loud.

But what could they use as a diversion? It was too risky to get someone else almost caught by the guards (and Fabian wanted more of the profits from himself, too) and he wasn't sure if there was a festival due. If there was, there would be more people on the streets, but everyone would be drinking and no doubt any guards would be let off for the night, or at least the number's halved. "Or, we could disguise ourselves as guards. It'll be difficult, but if we enter in the darkest hours, no one should be in their barracks. If there is, we take them down quickly and silently." A rough-edged plan, one that would surely need polishing and rounding until it was perfect, but it was at least something.
