JJ nodded. "I will," he said.

The nurse nodded and patted his back lightly, then walked away.

Just then, one of Sarah's doctors walked out into the waiting room where JJ was. "Is there anyone here for Ms. Sarah Hemingway?" he asked, his eyes scanning the people sitting in the waiting room chairs.

JJ stood. "Me," he said and walked over.

The doctor nodded. "Good. We've put her under with some medicine and were able to stop the bleeding. We've patched up her wounds, but she needs to stay in bed and rest for at least three days until she heals completely. No heavy-lifting and no taxing activities."

JJ nodded. "Okay. She'll be okay?" He asked. "Can I see her?"

The doctor nodded. "She'll be sore and fairly weak for the next few days, maybe a week; but yes, she'll be just fine," he assured him. "You can see her if you'd like, but I'm not sure how coherent she'll be. We gave her some medicine before fixing her wounds, so she might be asleep." With that, he led her to Sarah's room.

JJ followed him to her room and sighed. He wanted to talk to her but he also wanted her to be resting.

Sarah was awake, but fairly drowsy. When JJ walked into the room, a weak smile appeared on her lips. "Hey Jayje," she said, her voice quiet and tired.

JJ smiled at her softly. "Hey baby," he whispered as he sat by her bed. "How're you feeling?" He asked.

Sarah smiled slightly. "Like I got stabbed," she admitted sheepishly, watching him as he sat at her bedside. "It's not exactly a walk in the park."
