may I ask what appeals to you more with a girls dress sense? I'm an emo yet I don't always wear black, and I do dress in that glamorous way that most people find more appealing than dressing head to toe in black. do you find it more appealing when a girl dresses in a more 'less gothic' way? I have found that I get more crap for being an emo [before anyone asks, this does NOT mean I self harm. I just wear black and listen to very heavy metal and screamo.] from guys. just curious because lasses seem to be a lot more accepting of it.

It all depends on the person, i really dont mind what girls wear as long as it isnt absolutely crazy like a superman cape and a rainbow skirt. If you wore head to toe with all black i wouldnt think of you any differently than if you wore a sparkly dress. In my opinion it doesnt matter.

Lasses have always been more understanding of lasses, and lads of lads.
To some people, it matters. No matter how hard you try, some people just won't stop judging a book by its cover.
Personally, I'm with Pulsefire on this one. I don't mind. I've always tried to build bridges and be friends with everyone.
I think I'm the wrong person to talk to about style, but I also think it's important to find a style that you like and look good in. If that would be a tomboyish look or all black, doesn't matter.
