He shook is coat again and shuffled his footing, making sure he could bound off whenever needed be to snag the prey. Although he was with Zasha whom was from the pack that resided here, he still wondered if he would get caught by one of the other canines and imagined they wouldn't greet him with such a warm welcome.

Zasha slowly jumped down from the ledge, Creeping toward the back of the heard before letting out a loud yip, Nipping and biting at the legs of the deer at the back to scare them forward, Grinning as the two weaker one's fell behind, Just as she had hoped for.

Maverick leapt forward and chased the eldest of the two stragglers. With a sharp growl he latched himself on to the deer's rear for a couple seconds before he fell down on the ground. Shaking the dust off his dark hide he observed his work: it had lessened the deer's pace by hardly anything but it was progress. Snarling the brute went after the old- and now partially injured doe. As he was busy taking down the deer, which usually isn't successful until in teams, he glanced over at the fae to see how she has progressed.

Zasha snarled and watched the last of them take off like she had planned before falling into pace with Maverick, Latching her fangs onto the injured doe's throat before puncturing the windpipe. With that, She charged at the other who was still running and leapt, Landing squarely on its back with her claws digging into his shoulders.
