Zeke laughed a bit at her comment, "What concerns me, was that a compliment or an insult?" A sly smirk lifted the corner of his mouth up as his eyes seemed to twinkle for a moment. Why was he doing this, he wondered. Normally, if ever on a partner job, they most they'd say would be something about the mission. Nothing more. Needless to say, the rather in depth conversation was odd to him.

At her mention of clingy men, Zeke threw his hands up towards the ceiling, laughing joyously. "Thank you God, she understands!!" After a moment, he put his hands back where they were, although seemingly a bit closer to Serene's shoulder. "I swear," He rolled his eyes as he started to explain his sudden outburst,"Probably the biggest turn off for me is someone being clingy. I mean...there's a difference between clingy and needing actual attention, believe me. But all the time. Oh my gosh, it's rough."

Serene tilted her her head, blinking slowly as if considering his question. "I meant it as a compliment, I would think," she replied lightly, returning his smirk with a cool smile of her own. "Everyone needs some excitement in life, and some more than others. That's why we're doing this, aren't we?"

His unexpected outburst of happiness startled her, and she raised her brows in surprise, leaning back from his raised arms. But she couldn't help letting out a perplexed laugh at his reaction, her eyes brightening at his hearty agreement with her words. Returning to her former position, their shoulders almost brushing, she nodded pointedly. "Exactly! Is it really necessary to know what I'm doing every minute of the day? It's as if they have no lives themselves, asking after me all the time." She rolled her eyes, feeling better than she had in a long time. It was amazing how refreshing the presence of another of similar mind could be.
