Nightfrost nodded and padded out of the den. He turned seeing where his new den was. Usually cats would yell at the criminal to hurry up and get in the den. But everyone still respected him and even thought it was unfair for him to be in there. He looked at Volepaw wondering what he was thinking. Nightfrost sighed and turned walking into the den. It was weird and there was no bedding. He sighed lying down. Would his apprentice ever visit him? He needed a cat to do dirty work too. So when bad things happened it wasn't just him. What angered him was how because he was not a Warmhearts death he suddenly was a suspect. Lots of cats were out hunting during that time. There was even a whole patrol out. If he was the killer they would want to be there so it didn't look like he did it. Which he was the killer but still.

The vixens peds met some unusual dips and crevasses in the terrain, and each time her mas hit the ground. Always letting out a hiss from her maw, she would straighten back up and take large strides with her appendages. She flicked her fifth appendage in annoyance though as she entered camp, she kept her distance from all the drama. She decided to go near the ferns, and listen with perked lobes to the juicy action. She knew Nightfrost would never kill a cat, so she curved her boa around, locking her sapphires on where he might be. She padded quickly into the den and saw his broad silhouette resting on the ground. "Hello" she said as she sat tucking her pillars under her and wrapping them with her fifth appendage.

Nightfrost was facing the thistle cover not paying attention to anything. Just thinking of plans. He looked back when he heard a familiar voice say hello. "Oh, Hello Copperwhisker" he said in his deep voice not having to turn his head to know who it was. His tail was curled over his paws and he stretched it out along the grass. turning his broad head his ears flicked and he flicked his frown with a smile. "I haven't seen you in a while. I heard you almost left us. Glad to see you back." he sighed and stood up stretching so his front legs were down and back legs arched. He stifled a loud yawn showing his pure white fangs. Shaking his head and laid down when he finished and faced her.

Keeping her tassel high in the air she let blood stained talons slip out. " Well Fallenheart killed that apprentice, and he keeps saying otherwise. If he keeps this up next moon he'll be dead." She said with a bitter tone. She then tried to calm herself, breathing steadily through her maw. She knew the way she was spitting out remarks right and left she was bound to be accused next. Slipping her talons back into her peds, she tried to look cool.

Nightfrost watched her get mad. He was more of a calm cat. He nodded respectfully. "I shall not accuse any cat till I know the truth." he shrugged. "Everyone, even me has the right to be careful around. We just need to keep our eye out." he shrugged knowing if he told her the truth she would try to kill him.... try. "I wish to say my goodbyes to the apprentice but I must follow Larkstars orders and stay here instead of sit vigil. If you happen to visit Rosepaw, please give her my sorrows." he said flicking his tail and ear.

Her dark russet pelt began to slowly raise and bristle like porcupine quills, "If he didn't do it you did, explain yourself before I actually kill you." She said bringing her lip back, exposing her yellowed fangs. She unsheathed her bloody talons, ready to score them across his throat if necessary. She knew her very hostile approach to things probably wouldn't get her answers, but her sapphires were pleading.

Nightfrost sighed shaking his head. She stood up slowly still calm. "Copperwhisker please. Violence is not the way to go. I did not kill Rosepaw. I just don't think blaming someone before they admit it is the right thing to do." he stood up pressing his tail to her back. "Its okay. Now, would you take up on that offer?" he asked tilting his head and smiling.

Her sapphires narrowed and her voice was rough and jagged, "Sure, explain." She said before resting on the cold terrain. She pushed her appendages close to her mass, and tucked her tassel close to her side. She didn't look up to face the tom, not able to look at him. She felt exposed, just him and her in a den where no one would find them, or look to find them. If he did indeed harm Rosepaw, she might be next on his list. She knew the most reasonable explanation of why she was killed is because of her knowledge, she knew something no cat wanted anyone to find out. She soon began to fidget at the thought of it, and plastered her lobes against her broad cranium, in a defensive manner.

Nightfrost tilted his head. "Explain? What my offer? I already asked you silly." he purred and smiled sitting back down in front of her. "Could you give my respects to Rosepaw and bless her to Starclan for me? I am not allowed outside. It would appreciate it." he swayed his tail and looked around. "Thank you for visiting me. Why did you?" he asked tilting his head again in question. "I haven't had a full out conversation with you before. It was only on patrols."

The hellion purred, eyes shining with mischief. She loved to toy with a toms emotions, so that's what she intended to do, " Such a handsome tom deserved some company." She said, flicking her tassel across his face. This hellion was slightly vain. She had a long dark russet colored pelt with light copper eyes, and happened to be small and muscular. She was slender and sleek, a perfect looking mate, though her true colors might need a bit of working. She knew this, and played it to her advantage in some situations. (At least she tried too)
