Soushi accompanied her back to the stall, oblivious to her flirting. He knew what that was, and had used it himself on occasion, but his wasn't normally as subtle. Her's could be passed off as playful conversation. And he enjoyed it in all honestly. He liked having someone near who he could feel almost, almost equal to in intelligence.
He was well aware the man beside him was most likely talking about him, and that was just his ego talking. The man must have thought it strange for Sachiko to return with the same man who'd pushed her moments before. But he had no intention of hurting her again, he hadn't even deliberately meant to do so the first time. He slowly grinned as his new small companion calmed him and almost grinned when he figured out this stranger must be keeping an eye on him. It was quite amusing to him for whatever reason.
As Soushi looked over the menu quietly, perhaps something light would be best, he wasn't sure how well his stomach would react to a heavy meal, he wasn't sure if he'd end up sick and that would be quite a sign of weakness he wasn't about to show. He then looked down at the young girl beside him and arched a brow when she moved away, he wanted her to stay at his side for some reason. He appreciated her company. He then turned his attention back to the food before them, up close there was much more to stare at, and he didn't want to seem creepy by doing such a thing."What are you going to get?"

Sachiko answered almost immediately, giving him her answer that she already had lined up in her head when she'd have to tell the stall owner. "Yakiniku and rice with a side of karaage and kabocha. I'll probably be also ordering a miso, as well. And how's about you?" she asked him.
As she awaited his answer, she saw others walking by with the food that they had ordered either at this food stall or of the many others that surrounded the festival. Just seeing all of the hot, steaming food made her mouth water in anticipation for her food.
Gripping her messenger bag tightly, she fumbled with the zipper before taking out her tan wallet, and fishing out a number of yen required for the food that she'd be ordering. She looked at the male beside her from the corner of her eye before turning to face him, doing a quick scan of his outfit. He could have a way of storing money somewhere in his outfit, right? Still, she felt it polite to ask. "Do you have money to pay?" she asked, concerned. "If not, I can pay for you, or we can split a meal if you were wanting something similar to mine. I don't mind. I eat a lot, anyways, so it'd probably be good for me to take a break." She laughed nervously. "What do you say?"
She hadn't noticed it, but from the period that she started to scan him was when she had moved closer to him. By now, it was just like before, where there were only a couple of inches between the two of them. She wouldn't admit it to him, but she did like the small amount of space between them- it didn't allow for any sort of "romanticism" to occur between the two of them, but it allowed a sense of comfort that someone was simply there beside her. It made her feel much more relaxed, and she breathed in deeply. If she leant in any closer, she'd find herself leaning her head against his arm due to her height. She found it slightly silly how she couldn't even reach his shoulder, but hey, this was no time to complain. She was just grateful for the fact that the guy actually accepted her offer to join her. She wouldn't admit this either, but if she had not met him tonight, her night would've been just like any other night- a random bump here or there with some classmates or friends from school, and a simple stroll before she'd descend towards her home. It would not have been as exciting and oddly enjoyable. What a strange thought to think, eh, considering what had happened earlier upon their first meeting? She laughed softly at the thought, her eyes, drifting towards the ground. Drinking in the sound of all the festivities and the rain, she allowed herself to sink into it while she waited for him to reply. She felt like she was floating like a lantern that people tended to let float into the sky a little later into the night. That, and the water flowing from the sky made her feel like she was floating on a calm ocean. It was peaceful, and it was serene. Very nice.

Soushi scanned his eyes over the foods at the stall, he thought her added 's' was rather sweet, even if he didn't allow such a thing to show on his face as he struggled to recognise the food. He knew what it physically was, what was probably in from scent alone. But He was didn't know their names, apart from maybe the more simple foods. Then something caught his eye and he answered "Probably that Rabbit Ragout with some rice...I'm a simple thing."
The ginger boy then turned to her when she asked another question and he jiggled his coat around him gently, the item jingled with all it's contents, the sound of coins rubbing together rung pleasantly out "Of course I have money, I have a home you know?" he replied with a small grin "I didn't just materialize ten minutes ago to annoy you." He teased, with the same cheeky little light in his eyes.
He then pulled his hood up so he framed his face, the fur that lined it, tickling at his face lightly. It did not obstruct his view of her though. And in turn she would still be able to see his face. He wasn't totally rude, and when holding a conversation it was deemed polite to maintain eye contact, correct? He offered her a small smile, simply to show that he was enjoying himself. He also quite enjoyed the close contact between the two of them, being beside another being wasn't something he allowed himself to get used to, because normally he didn't hold long conversations, if they were conversations at all. He tended to partake in many arguments.

Sachiko nodded her head, finding it interesting his choice of food. "A 'simple thing', eh?" she found herself murmuring, looking up at him with a slight twinkle in her eyes. She was trying to subdue her smile, but it didn't work, so in-turn, she flashed him a small but really bright smile. She didn't know why she found what he said amusing, but it just made her smile and she could not stop a smile when it came to something like that.
Listening to the male rustle his coat, she heard heard the clinking of several yen jangling around within. She blushed a little in-turn, swatting away his cheeky facial expression as she diverted her eyes towards the ground. "Pshh, I knew that." Did she really? She wasn't so sure, but she made herself believe that she knew that he had a place to stay. Just because she hadn't seen him around before, didn't mean that he was homeless or nothin'. She cocked an eyebrow, looking up at him. "Oh, really? And how am I suppose to believe that?" she grinned, her playful side coming out again. "If anything, I would've thought that you were sent here by a deity or something, to punish me with annoyance because of something maybe bad I did long ago in the past, if anything." she joked, not realizing the extent of the words that she chose to joke around with.
Sachiko wasn't a bad kid growing up; she just made some mistakes here and there (which included accidentally shattering the window of a nearby house when she hit the ball way out of the park during one sunny afternoon- she didn't exactly apologize until a week after, for she was too embarrassed to admit it at all), but she always did end up correcting it so that she could be forgiven by her parents or friends or whatever. She always did try to do her best to be the good person that she aimed to be, but hey, not everyone was perfect.
Sachiko glanced at he male again, seeing that he now had his hood pulled up to keep his head warm. Just looking at him, and seeing his head framed by the fur made him seem like this big, tall, cuddly bear that she could hug when things got scary. That thought made her giggle a bit, and she struggled to hold in her laughter. Geez, what was up with this guy, anyways? Making her giggle and flit around like some crazed hormonal teenage girl. It just wasn't usually her until she realized that she liked someone, but even then, when had she ever been so... girlish around a guy? Uhum, never. Not unless you count that one movie star that she met when she was twelve, but that was a long while ago. She quickly shook her head of the thought.
Seeing the smile that was perched on his face made her smile as well, and she held eye-contact with him briefly before quickly turning her head away. She was afraid that if she stared at him too long, she'd start blushing or say something completely out of the blue. They were almost at the front of the line, anyways, and then she'd be able to concentrate on her food and not stare at him like there was nothing else for her to look at in this crazy world that they lived in.

Soushi felt a crooked smile tug at the corners of his mouth, one that showed only half of his teeth as he looked down at her. He wasn't used to positive feedback from humans, from anyone on such a scale. And to say he was flattered was an understatement. There were other emotions there, most unfamiliar to him, the sensation of being flattered, a yearning to remain in her company, a most delightful confusion.
His eyes widened at the very mention of a Deity, before the first two letters had left her lips, for a moment, he blinked absently at her and for the first time in a while, a genuine fear that she might have figured him out washed over his eyes. When the rest of her sentence sunk in he relaxed and erased any such emotions resembling fear from his features. His honey coloured eyes softened once more, his lips resumed that same cheeky, possibly flirtatious grin. "What could a being such as you have done to warrant divine punishment?" He asked, would picking up her hand and kissing the back of it be going slightly over board perhaps?
He then laughed, letting her know he'd been only joking. He didn't take her for the type who gushed over simply honeyed words, she hadn't fallen for any of that so far. He certainly didn't want a kick in the shin, or anywhere else for that matter. She might be small, but she looked tough. Perhaps things were hidden beneath that Kimono of hers. Either way, he didn't want any kind of physical assault on his person tonight. Perhaps a meal with an ... acquaintance would be a refreshing change to the somewhat lonely life he lead on a daily basis.

Sachiko wouldn't admit it to him, perhaps if they got a bit closer she might, but for the time being, she would not tell him that she enjoyed the sight of his smile. After seeing those numerous smirks and cold looks, it was quite the refresher for her to see him actually lighten up for once. It seemed like he was conscious of trying to hide something from her, but she paid it no mind as everyone had their own little secrets. Heck, she had plenty, but she didn't brandish them to the world. No, she liked to keep them hush-hush, so she respected his privacy as any other sensible person should.
That crooked smile of his made her smile back in-return, as Sachiko had a thing for crooked smiles. She found them charming and endearing, and perfectly lovely, to say the least. It reminded her a bit of cheekiness, but when it concerned a smile such as the one in-front of her, she did not mind it whatsoever. Something about smiles such as these reminded her of being carefree, and enjoying oneself. It reminded her of simple things that made her light up, and it reminded her that life had a way of placing subtle hints that she'd find something greater than she already did. After-all, Sachiko felt that she needed to find something more to her life to release that nagging feeling in her gut that prevented her from letting loose and being satisfied. She didn't know what she'd do once she found that "something more", but she knew that that nagging feeling would soon disappear.
Not noticing the sudden fear that shot up in his eyes, Sachiko only looked up to see his cheeky grin once more. She smiled in-return, getting quite used to it. It was as if she had placed herself in the routine that everytime he smiled, she'd smile, and that was enough to make her a little happier than before. That did not mean, however, that she'd want to find herself attached to him. She was still weary of his negative attitude (as displayed earlier before when they had met), but she believed that if she took the time to ge to know him better, she might just stick around, if he'd let her. And besides, his company wasn't all that bad. She could see herself in the near future growing quite fond of him, actually, especially since he looked like a cuddly giant teddy-bear in his jacket. She giggled for what seemed like the millionth time that afternoon before it died down to answer his question.
Cocking her head, she moved up a little in the line as they were only a couple of people behind to order. She looked up at him with an odd look on her face. "A 'being' such as me?" Reaching up on impulse to place two soft knocks with her right hand on his forehead (which made her stand on her very tips of her toes), she eyed him mischievously after his laughter. "Do you really think that you're all mighty and powerful?" She asked, biting her lip a little in the process. She got back down to the balls of her feet, crossing her arms, going back to the reason of his question and closed her eyes. "Oh, I've a couple of things here and there that got me into trouble, believe me." she said, nodding her head to accentuate the sentence. "I may look little, but I had a tendency as a kid to sometimes use my tiny size to do some... tasks that I was once dared to do. And I'll have you know, I don't back down from a dare." She glanced up at him from the corner of her eye, a mischievous glint shining within. She puffed her chest up with pride (although it wasn't really something to be proud of). "Sure, I might have gotten in a little bit of trouble, but I completed my tasks, and my best friend gave me a new cookbook because of it." She held up a hand in-case he decided to comment on the cookbook. She opened up her eyes again, moving up once in the line. "From that cookbook, I became the best chef in my family. And that's saying something, because my Mom is one amazing cook." She smiled. "Anyways, I always did like to cook, but that cookbook is the reason why I always cook during family dinners, parties, events at school... the list goes on and on. I'm happy that I get to cook for other people, because it also gives me feedback on whether or not it actually tastes good, you know? And I know that I sound like some sort of nerd for declaring my love of cooking food, but y'know, whatever." She finished her talk about cooking and breathed in the smell of food. It was so close, yet so far. Just two more people to order and her and the male would be able to eat- finally.

As a matter of fact, Soushi did think himself mighty and powerful. Sure he wasn't the strongest deity on the planet. But he was damn smart and liked to think he could outwit most anyone he came across, given the chance. Perhaps this was where his ego formed, there were many humans he came across, that he was indeed smarter than. And eventually he just began thinking he was smarter than all of them, sure it wasn't one hundred percent true and he'd lost some arguments, but the majority he won. However, he didn't think she'd appreciate such insights right now, because right now, he didn't want to fight with Sachiko.
He shook his head when she said she must sound like a nerd. Another genuine, reassuring smile graced his features. "Don't be silly, I liked hearing it about it, you spoke with so much love for it and nobody should ever think little of themselves for that they love." He replied, honestly. If he knew what it meant then he'd of placed his hand over his heart. This world must be getting to him with all of it's emotions and sloppy heartfelt sentiments. A deity had no concept of family, they were not born, in fact he wasn't sure how he came into being. He knew only stealing and his technology. Hearing about ones family and friends was something most foreign, but at the same time almost made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Of course, being what he was he couldn't possibly know what he was missing out on.
The ginger boy then shook his head, it wasn't healthy to let his brain dwell on things like that. For him they should be trivial things, things that didn't matter (But they did) to him. His eyes steeled over and moved towards the food stall, no time for that. "I feel like I haven't eaten in forever." he then said, softly, trying to change the subject away from anything remotely emotional. Another smile crept across his face, that statement was sort of ironic in itself, he honestly hadn't eaten in forever. But the prospect of food was certainly appetizing now.

Sachiko's heart melted in complete fondness for the male standing beside her who spoke of her talking about her cooking. "Well, thank-you," she found herself saying softly as a slight blush swept over her features. "I could end up talking about it for ages, but sometimes I feel like I bore people when I do." She laughed nervously, scratching the side of her head with her right index finger. A strand of her hair that came from above the tip of her finger while scratching fell down in the process, but she did not seem to notice. "But yeah, thank-you." She paused. "Personally, for myself, I love it when people get passionate about the things that they love. And even though some things may not, uhum... be my cup of tea, I'll do my best to listen to them, because they're so passionate and fully invested into it that I start to believe that what they're talking about is something amazing. And then I get involved, and I think that it's this really neat thing, and I want to learn more about it, 'yknow? Like... I feel like when people tell me about things that they're passionate about, it gives me ideas for the things that I'm passionate about, and I feel like I'm learning a lot more when that person is telling me what they absolutely love in-life. And I think that's really cool." She gave him a slight smile before she found themselves at the front of the line, with the stall owner awaiting her and the male's order.
Hearing the male say that he hadn't eaten in-forever, Sachiko grinned sideways up at him. "Well, I guess you're in luck. We're ready to order now, aren't we?"
Turning to the stall owner, she quickly told him what she'd like, which was what she had told the male beside her just moments before. He quickly scribbled it down onto his notepad, to-which Sachiko gave him the yen required to pay for the food. Taking the money and shoving it inside his metal cash box, the stall owner stuck her order onto this line that extended across the inside of his tent. "And what about your friend, does he want anything?" the stall owner prodded, pointing his pen to the male.
Sachiko looked over at him, poking him with the slightest touch to grab his attention.
The smell of food, this time since she was right in-front of it, made her stomach growl even louder. She placed her hand over it quickly to try and mask it, but anyone close to her would have heard. Oh, well, she thought to herself. I'm getting food anyways, so, doesn't matter.

Soushi felt like he could listen to her forever. As far as humans went she was quite intelligent herself, and he enjoyed hearing the things she had to say. He was unable to wipe the smile from his face as they approached the stand. The smells coming from it suddenly felt intensified and assaulted his nose in the most wonderful way.
He had one last look over the foods, making sure he had it right before jumping when he was nudged. "Alright Alright!" He squealed and lifted his gaze to the man behind the stalls "The Rabbit Ragout with Rice please." he requested and watched the various other things on the stall for a moment. Unable to hold the eye contact for long. He then aimed another smile as his female companion, looking quite pleased with himself. That had been a relatively normal thing to do and he felt less...alone for doing so.
Soushi discovered he was quite a tempermental being after that. He yearned to feel human but at the same time, he felt as though he was so much higher than them. "Do you live around here..miss..." He felt his eyes widen, he had no idea what her name was, he'd not been bothered to ask. "What's your name anyways?" He almost hoped she would answer. He'd not asked for anyone's name before, He knew of very few people's real names.

Hearing the male beside her actually squeal from her light poke made Sachiko instantly burst out laughing. She laughed so hard that she thought that she would burst, and she latched onto his left arm for support. "Oh my goodness," she spoke between breaths, wiping a tear from her dark brown eyes. "You, sir, are one funny man when you don't expect to be." She continued to laugh for a few more seconds or so before she released her contact from his arm, a large smile plastered on her face as she looked up at him in a cute manner, like a child that got caught stealing sushi from underneath her Mother's nose while she was preparing them. "I didn't mean to laugh so hard at you, it's just..." She paused, trying to phrase it as best as she could in a manner that was not hurtful. "... I never would have expected such a noise coming from a guy like you. It's not bad at all, it entertained me a lot, so that must be good for something, am I right?" She threw him a bright and sunny smile as she turned her attention back to the stall owner, who told them to stand at the side and he'd ring the bell to notify them when the food was ready.
As she stood off to the side, eyeing the cook prepare the food with a tense stare, and imagining all of the delicious food that they would soon eat, she was shaken out of her reverie to the sound of the male asking her a question. She quickly turned to him, her eyes wide just like his. "Oh, wow!" she breathed. "I guess that we never introduced ourselves, did we? That's awkward. Normally people introduce themselves before meeting each other, but man... we just got into a fight, now didn't we?" She cocked her head, laughing softly.
Tucking that loose strand of hair let loose just a few moments before behind her right ear, she cleared her throat before extending her right hand to shake. "Let's start this off normally, shall we?" she asked, a smile playing at her lips. "I'm Kobayashi Sachiko. Yes, I do live around here. About..." She paused to think about it. "...ten minutes, give or take from this area, walking. And you are...?" she prompted, cocking her head in a cute manner.
Around them, the Festival continued to bustle around in a busy manner, despite the rainy weather. The rain had started to become a little heavier, but it was nothing that she minded. It would only be when it got so rainy that it spoiled her mood that she'd probably leave. Other than that, she did not mind the rain. She just wished that she brought an umbrella or something to prevent the wet from seeping into her already dirty kimono.
