Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Shy, in-awe, a little embarrassed | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
Instead of receiving an angered reply from him like she expected he would, she was ultimately surprised at how his attitude had completely changed. Like, whole-heartedly; it was like he was a whole new person instead of the insulting smirk man that was being an utter, well, poop. Well, he was being a poop, but that was before his whole personality seemed to just suddenly change within an instant.
For starters, instead of responding right away, he leant down to be right in her view; right down to her eye-level. Sachiko blinked her dark-brown eyes at him, stumbling back just the slightest as she gripped onto her bag. She felt a hazy blush begin to form on her cheeks, but who wouldn't blush when a more-than-handsome stranger was close enough to you that you could almost touch noses? She quickly wiped the thought out of her head. No way could she keep thinking about his good-looks! She had to focus on his negative side before she came to any conclusion that he could be good-looking and have a good heart. Her breath quickened just the slightest as she stared right at him, feeling a little strange to be staring back at someone who had gone and levelled themselves to her height. Sure, it was a little satisfying to not have to look up all the time to talk to people and have people literally talk down to you, but at the same time, it was weird to see it come from such a tall and rude guy like him.
As she stared back at him, he continued to look at her with his honey-brown eyes, as if he were observing every single piece of her. She shuffled a bit, feeling just a bit exposed. What, did she have something on her face, or something? If she had anything on her face, then it'd be rain. She hadn't eaten anything, so there were no crumbs that should be on her face. She frowned just a tad before resuming her wide-eyed gaze at him, her mouth partially open.
And then it happened. It happened. Something so beautiful, so wonderful, that Sachiko felt herself melting at his feet. It was glorious, and it was stupendous, and it was BRILLIANT.
He smiled.
Sachiko declared in her head at that very moment that there was no way no smile in the world could ever compare to his. No matter if she loved someone and married them, looking at their smile would not amount to the guy's in-front of her. No matter if her favourite singer was voted "Best Smile of Japan"- nope, she would disagree. This guy would definitely take the prize in her book. But did that necessarily mean that she liked him in a way that would cause her heart to burst? No, but it certainly did up his handsomeness-factor, she could say that much. And might she just add, his smile caused thousands of little lightning bugs to dance around in her body, which caused her to blush even more. His smile just made him flipping more adorable, too.
Flipping her attention back to his words, she cocked her head, awed at his sudden change in personality. He seemed... well, less rude, for one thing. And happy, for another. As if her long rant had somehow amused him? She shook her head. It was a silly thought. How could her words, which she meant to get it through his thick skull, make him happy? She didn't get it. And it was so strange to hear his voice so light and airy, as if he were having a casual conversation. What was going on?
A cute little frown formed on her features as she continued to stare at him, soaking in his words. Wait, what? Okay, sure, him calling her "interesting", was, she guessed, could be a compliment (either that, or he was basically calling her "strange" in a more polite manner). But then what about the "you people" part? What did that mean? Was he referring to the people in her town having different personalities than the ones in her own? Or did he mean, like, him referring back to how he was acting before, like how he thought that he was higher than everyone else? So much that he called them "you people"? What? She frowned harder, but didn't want to push the subject. She was probably over-thinking the whole thing, anyways. His smile was causing funny things to spur inside her head.
She quickly shook her head, shutting her eyes tight before glancing back at him. He said that he wanted to "bicker" with her again- wait, so he wanted to meet up with her somewhere? He wanted to talk to her again? She cocked her head once more. She never would have thought that he'd want that, judging from the rocky footing that the two had started off on. If anything, she would have thought that he'd never want to see her again. He then added on to say that she should go and feed herself, which, of course, made her blush all over again. Hey, maybe he was being concerned or teasing- either way, it was refreshing from his rude attitude from before. She let out a breath, giving him a tentative smile as she nodded her head. "Okay, sure..." When had her voice gotten so soft and shy? That never happened! Ergh, what was happening to her?
And then, as soon as it happened, he started to turn away, off to go on his own direction. Her eyes widened, and her heart picked up the pace. Without even thinking rationally, she cried out, "W-wait!" She blushed madly, her eyes wide and unsure. "W-would... would you maybe like join m-"
All of a sudden, she felt her knees start to wobble, as if she had started to lose her footing, or something. She was sure that she wasn't fainting, because she still felt empowered and maybe a little bit shy, but why were her knees wobbling? What was going on?
Without realizing, she fell right on her bum, and at the very bottom on her tail-bone, causing it to sting just for the slightest bit. She looked around her, rubbing her backside tenderly. "Ow..." she muttered, one eye closed in a slight pain. Great, not only was her kimono probably dirty now, but she had looked like a totally idiot in-front of him, if he had been looking. The people around her gave her a curious look, but she saw that a few other people had fallen down as well, some holding onto their knees or onto another as their knees looked like they were buckling down as hers similarly did. She frowned once more. What was going on?

Yoshina~~~
Deity of Ambitions and Dreams
Tagged: Tenken
In: The Park/Festival Grounds
Feeling: Quite Offended.
Yoshina, quite in the dark about what, exactly, she had just accidentally accomplished, only gazed at Tenken with open confusion with a hint of stubbornness and hurt, fists clenched in an effort to stop them from shaking. That, or to stop herself from harming Tenken, even though that was nigh impossible; really, Yoshina didn't know which one she felt stronger towards. Eyes widening slightly as Tenken grew more and more infuriated, Yoshina it her lip, mind whirling and nerves fried as she tried to piece together exactly what she had done wrong; she was merely going for self-defense. A more prickly and blunt form of self-defense, yes, but -as juvenile as it might sound- Yoshina believed Tenken had started it. However, when Tenken took a step forward, Yoshina felt a spike of fear shoot through her; did this deity think her absolutely despicable to the point that he felt the need to go for physical blows? Yoshina was not well off in the physical department. If this deity truly decided to open fire, what would become of her?
As Yoshina tensed and curled slightly closer to her body, the young deity's eyes flicked around, perceptive enough in her maelstrom of emotions that she was able to feel the palpable grimness and rage spreading through the air, as thick and choking as poison. Which it was; Yoshina felt herself tense again, this time involuntarily, and a tumult of negative thoughts and emotions rushed into her mind, barely stopped by Yoshina's own prowess, which had the polar opposite effect. As the deity gritted her teeth and narrowed her eyes to keep herself frm caving into the despair, rage shot through the girl when she saw two humans -a couple, really- topple to the ground in an unnatural and unsettling fashion, terror and despair written all over their faces before their eyes rolled into their heads and they fell unconscious. For Yoshina, one who did not feel comfortable around humans but felt for them and cared for them, that was over the line.
Standing up, Yoshina gripped the tree bark behind her for support as anger flickered across her features, warring with her usual calm disposition. "Luck cannot save anyone. It just prolongs defeat. I'm sorry if I... Hit a nerve, Tenken." Yoshina said, finally remembering the deity's name after his helpful 'hints'. "You are the deity of chaos. The deity of war. That much is clear from what you just told me and demnstrated." Yoshina eyed the fallen humans, anger and frustration growing inside her. "But to show off your power, to intimidate others like myself, you put those that are innocent into harm's way. You harmed the mortals -which are a vital part of your existence- in your own display of power. And at a festival where they are honoring deities like you. Does a namesake mean that much to you? Does losing it affect you so much, so much that you have to involve those that shouldn't be?" As Yoshina continued to talk and consequently calm down, Yoshina felt another pang in her chest, one that took her a moment to realize what it was; pity. Yoshina felt sorry for Tenken, someone driven by bitterness who would fight tooth and nail to regain something vital.

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology
Currently;Tags;Sachiko, I feel like an eight year old.
Soushi could do naught but arch his brow as the various emotions flickered over the girl's features. Humans were so cute, letting such a simple baring of teeth send their little heads into such a mess. if they were dogs, or even monkeys she had ever right to beat the snot out of him for such an action. He decided he liked her in this state, blushing and scatterbrained like the little love struck school girl she was. Oh boy, did his ego appreciate the stroking! The change in her personality was quite substantial also, personally, he found it more than interesting that a damn smile could get her to nearly trip on her tongue, could get her to blush and stare up at him with those deep brown eyes.
Even he could admit when something before him was cute, especially when it was looking back at him with the eyes of a puppy who'd just seen it's owner naked for the first time. Of course, she didn't stop his heart or make his head spin, he simply had no interest in such complex emotions like love or affection, a selfish being like him could never hope to understand those things. But he didn't know what he was missing out on.
He had every intention of leaving her to live her life in relative peace when she cried out to him and caused him to look back at her, but by the time he had she was on the floor, along with a few other humans and he felt a shift in the earth around him. An unsettling feeling bubbled up from the depths of his stomach and whirled around, that was a feeling he had experience before, it meant anything god like him was around, and he suddenly, desperately wanted to get out of the way and leave. He had never face to face met someone else like him and he didn't have any desire to do so. He presumed they saw him as a useless god, he certainly wasn't good and all he seemed to do was run around like an imp and steal things. He was afraid they would think him wrong and try to stop him, ultimately ending up with him dying in a ditch.
Using his eyes alone wasn't enough, he couldn't spot who it was upsetting his stomach so perhaps it was best to just get out of here for now and move to a more isolated part of the festival. After a few quick, panicked breaths he turned back to look at the girl on her rump and for a second, the slight panic he was in evident in his eyes. He didn't offer her help, or a hand to pull herself up with, he had no such manner present in his head, he simply wasn't programmed to be a gentleman unless it suited him, which at the current time it didn't. "What is it?" He asked, voice betraying him a little bit as it cracked and showed there was something wrong.

Sachiko looked up, her eyes a bit squinted at the current pain that she was enduring. It was a simple bump on the bottom of her tailbone and bum, she knew, but that didn't stop it from hurting at all. She knew that it would probably bruise over, and it would hurt when she sat- but, her main concern was how had she fallen? And why had so many others fallen down just like her? This was all too confusing to her as she shakily stood up, her knees slightly buckling in the process. "N-nothing..." she stammered to the guy, blushing just the slightest out of his seemingly uncharacteristic concern. "... I just... fell." She wiped off some of the grime left behind on her kimono, sure that she'd need to get it cleaned as soon as she got home. She didn't want any stains on this lovely kimono.
Unsure of the way that she was acting, she walked over to him, her lips pursed. "I don't even know how I fell." she muttered under her breath. Looking around her, she could see others getting up and rubbing their backsides as well- and all of them looked just as confused as she was. "There wasn't some sort of mini-Earthquake that we felt, was it?" She cocked her head, wondering silently to herself as to why the male in-front of her had not fallen down himself. Maybe he was just strong and steady on his feet. She shrugged. It was totally possible. There were one or two guys at her school that were like that. Nothing could faze them. "I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just attaching myself to you, or whatever." she added as a side-note, diverting her eyes from him to the ground, absent-mindedly kicking some invisible pebbles. "I don't really know why I am, really." She felt that she was sounding like quite a blithering idiot, but she knew that by saying that out loud would probably earn her a smirk from the guy. And she had dealt with too many smirks from him that she would be perfectly satisfied to never see a smirk again in her life. But, then again- something about his smirk held a sense of mysteriousness and underlying mischievousness that made him that more attractive.
Err, what? Attractive? Sachiko quickly shook her head, sure that her face was flaming red. "Ugh, stop with the blushing already, idiot!" she found herself blurting out, quickly covering her mouth right after that phrase.
She closed her eyes, realizing her mistake. Wow, Sachiko, she thought to herself, pretty sure that she was glowing in embarrassment. That was smooth.

Soushi had to admit he was most surprised by the sudden change in her personality now something seemed to have embarrass her. He must admit he thought that it was quite...pitiful. He looked over her form when she stood and decided she was clean and that there was no need to assist her dusting off, unsure why he felt the need to do so. Honestly, these humans must be getting to him.
He was also wondering what, or rather who it was that had pushed her down, poor little thing wouldn't even know what hit her. He leaned back, relaxing his posture now he was sure it was safe to do so. He regarded her without a smirk, he didn't mind mild social interaction as long as she didn't keep him too long, he needed to have a look around, it as making his skin physically itch not being able to gallabant away and look for some hapless prey.
At her outburst, Soushi began to laugh, but not as thought to draw attention or in a nasty manner -For once- He was laughing out of genuine amusement, something that hadn't happened to him in such a long time, and soon he was getting carried away, his arms coming around his stomach to hold him upright. This continued until he'd begun to run out of breath and calm down "I was right! You really are strange" he replied, sniggering still. Of course, he was referring to her as a human, and how shy'd actually had to tell her brain a command out loud. Like it could hear her and would immediately make her cheeks return to their usual pale state. "Why are you blushing? Lots of people fall over?" He asked, totally oblivious to the thoughts she had swimming around in that little hormone filled brain of hers. Even if he did, he wouldn't understand the blush still, he had no concept of romance...not really.

Sachiko Kobayashi
"THE POPULAR"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Content/Bold/Awkward | Currently: At the Hanami Festival
Sachiko opened her eyes hesitantly before realizing that he was laughing- a laugh that sounded not mirthful at all, and sounded like he was amused. It was bright and it rang in her ears in a pleasant kind of fashion, and Sachiko felt herself cocking her head at the wonder of his laugh. A small tiny smile wriggled itself onto her face, showing a little bit of a teeth as she looked up at him. Within a few moments, that smile turned bigger and bigger until she found herself giggling. She was fully aware that she was mainly laughing with him on how he was laughing at her, but it didn't annoy her one bit. She just found that laughing was easing some of the confusion in the air held by her and many others around her in the festival.
As Sachiko giggled, she found the male laughing really quite hard. He was holding his stomach and closing his eyes in laughter that only occurred when one was having a really great laugh. She giggled some more before calming down, placing her hands on her messenger bag as she glanced at him with a bright smile. Boy, when he wasn't being a complete jerk-off, he could seem really quite the opposite of his stoic personality.
Sachiko shook her head, the smile still looming on her face. "Sure, I might be- but I'm not afraid to admit to it." she said firmly on him calling her "strange". "I think it gives me more of a personality that others can try to understand, you know? Instead of one of those stereotypical 'shy', 'loud', 'quiet' personalities where someone can automatically deem how you'll act, you get something that is a mix of everything." She shrugged, unsure if he was understanding what she was saying. It would be no surprise, since many others she had explained this to didn't get it, either. But the guy seemed smart. He'd probably understand.
She blinked once, thinking that he already knew why she was blushing. "... you don't know why I'm blushing? Eh?" she said, a bit confused. Why else would she be blushing? There weren't that many valid reasons at the given time and place. Mentally shaking her head, and thinking perhaps he was a bit dense concerning the matter of attractiveness, or romance, for that matter, she simply said, "No, it wasn't because I fell over. Or, actually, it kinda was, but it kinda wasn't. It was... half-and-half?" She scratched her head, careful not to disposition the butterfly barrette in her hair. "The other half for me blushing involved something else. Uhum..." She thought long and hard, but couldn't think of something that would substitute her thinking that he was rather attractive. So, she decided to just let out the truth right then and there, since she blabbed already. Shrugging, she said quietly and off-to-the-side: "... I think you're handsome? Uhum." She felt pretty awkward, blushing minimally, but this was not the first time that she had told a guy that he was good-looking. Generally, she said it from time-to-time, but when she really liked a guy, she felt that she would probably tell him right out to his face without any sort of hesitation. Unlike now, when she had hesitated, she was unsure as to whether-or-not she liked him. She still had to think about his bad sides, first. Which bugged her like no tomorrow!

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology
Currently;Tags;Sachiko, Sorry my posts aren't longer.
Soushi couldn't mask the surprise that crossed his face as expertly as he'd of hoped. Not that there was any point, he was surprised. For her to admit something so readily, it appeared quite foolish to him, surely she was going to get hurt doing such a thing. Didn't humans constantly get messed about by their fickle little emotions.
The smile faded from his face and he looked up at her eyes again, trying to figure out what might have made her say that. He then spoke before he could really gain control of his tongue "That's the point isn't it?"He asked and then felt his eyes widen. He'd tried to make his human form as attractive as possible, it was easy to talk your way out of a sticky situation when your quarry would melt at the flash of a smile or the wiggle of an eyebrow.
Soushi took a careful step back, he might not understand love, but he knew humans suffered from it, and he used that term suffered because all they ever seemed to do was cry over it, or cover up the fact that they loved another, he'd seen it on their shows and in their movies. Maybe she was defective, or had a glitch, if she was admitting she thought he as attractive "Pe-Perhaps...You should go back to your food stand, that nice stranger won't hold your spot forever." he prompted gently, he wasn't so sure he wanted to leave her company so soon, she was nice to play with and quite witty in her responses, it was refreshing.

Sachiko, thinking that the male was going on about his attractiveness in a cocky way, cocked her head in confusion before shaking it, a small laugh gracing her features. "Seriously?" Wow, he's more cocky than I originally took him for, she thought to herself. "Alright, it's great that your parents graced you with magnificent genes, but that's no way to be all cocky now." She crossed her arms. "Although, fine, fine, I can understand your attitude concerning your looks, but you don't have to be rubbing it in my face." Sachiko felt that she wasn't the prettiest girl in the world, but she didn't like to beat herself up about it. Rather, she just took herself for the way that she was, and did her best to maintain an at-least suitable appearance. She looked alright, didn't she?
Ugh, just being around this guy makes me feel all self-conscious, she thought to herself, inwardly rolling her eyes. Yeesh, why do some people just look like... like gods?
Now, Sachiko only related the male to looking like a god because she knew that gods were all-mighty and powerful and had one heck of an attractive and glorious appearance, which she felt suited the male in-front of her. In no way did she actually think that he was actually, indeed, an actual god. A deity, if you will.
Sachiko cocked an eyebrow, turning her attention back to the line-up that seemed to be getting smaller and smaller. After the odd occurrence with people falling down, it looked like everything was going right back to normal. "True, true..." she muttered to herself, propping a finger to her lip in thought. "... would you like to join me?" she questioned, inwardly smiling as she re-called that that was what she had been meaning to ask him before she found herself falling to the ground.
A part of her was hoping that he'd join her, but another part of her felt that if he outright refused, she'd probably wave it off or get fired up in anger again (depending on the way that he answered her question). And besides, he didn't seem like that bad of a guy to talk to over food. So far, the conversations that they had were not ones that normal everyday people would have upon meeting each other for the first time, so it did give her a branch of amusement on a certain level (when he wasn't being a complete jerk, for the most part).
(( No worries! I'm also so sorry for the short response

Ughhhh ))

Soushi;Deity of Lost and Stolen technology
Currently;Tags;Sachiko, Sorry my posts aren't longer.
Soushi had been anticipating the offer, and he appeared to be thinking it over as he looked down at the short girl before him, he had little concept of beauty beyond his own, but as far as he could tell she wasn't ugly herself. Not that he would ever tell her, or anyone else for that matter. He then tucked a strand or two of hair behind his ear to avoid it getting into his mouth as he replied.
"I...D-" he cut himself off as he cast his gaze back to the stand, his nose had begun to pick up on the scents and they were indeed pleasing, normally he wouldn't dabble in such things, he wasn't even sure if he strictly needed to eat. But this mortal form was somewhat needy, and did it's own thing, so before he could politely decline the offer, his stomach tightened, the sensation similar to a rumble, but without the noise. He then snorted as an attempt to cover up his sudden wanting to eat "Well, If you really can't resist spending more time with me then..."
And with that assumption he began to move towards the stand, he had money, but never really used it, material objects weren't something a God needed. He'd never admit it, but Soushi was perhaps the one who needed it the most, he was the one who needed all sorts of mortal things, loyal friends to cover for him, food, a warm place to 'sleep' and store his technology...the list went on, but he was too stubborn to admit it and he certainly had no need for friends. Though, the idea was slowly worming up into his brain, because this was perhaps the longest he'd ever spent talking to a human in a normal, everyday manner.

She felt that it was hasty mainly because of the fact that he decided to be cocky once more and snorted, making another comment about himself. She rolled her eyes, but a smile made its way onto her face. "Oh, yeah," she played along, walking beside him. "I definitely can't resist spending more time with you." Sachiko didn't realize it, but she was actually flirting with the guy- she simply thought that she was playing along with his infinite cockiness.
As she walked beside him, she glanced up at him for the briefest of seconds before turning her attention back to the food stall. He looked like he was deep in thought, although what he was thinking about Sachiko couldn't even fathom to guess. Was he thinking of more ways to take her by surprise? Was he thinking of ditching her right after the consumption of food? The possibilities were endless, and Sachiko merely shrugged to herself.
Finding her spot back in the line, she kindly thanked the nice man who had held her spot for her. She didn't fail to notice his charming grin that quickly turned into an expression of annoyance towards the tale male that she was currently beside, and he huffed impatiently. Leaning down to her height, he asked, "Little girl, why are you with him?" he asked, his voice deep with a rough tinge to it. "Wasn't he that rude male just earlier?"
Sachiko sighed, nodding. "Mm-hmm..." She didn't expand on it much further, except to say, "... but he's not that bad, really. He might just be having a bad day and took it out on me. Who knows." She shrugged once more, turning away. "Thanks again for holding my spot for me, sir."
The man huffed again, glaring at the male beside her in-case he was going to make any sudden moves, such as to try and push her again. It was as if he was acting as her bodyguard, which was strange for Sachiko since she didn't even know the guy.
Looking up at the food stall, she found that they were getting closer and closer to ordering the scrumptious food that awaited her open mouth. The smell wafted its way into her nostrils and she breathed it in deeply, sighing in harmony. It just smelled so good. There was also the fact that she was also super happy that she'd be able to fill up her stomach, but she was also content on the side that the male decided to join her.
Speaking of which, they were merely inches from each other, and Sachiko could feel some sort of heat wave between then. She stepped off to the side a bit, wondering if she was just imagining things- and, just like that, the heat wave was gone. Huh, she thought to herself. Must've just been my imagination, I guess.
From here, she could see the menu list, but Sachiko already knew what she was going to be ordering, and karaage was definitely on the list. Just the thought of it made her stomach rumble!
