Ren laughed half-heartedly. "He can always kick you out. I don't think that would affect you much, but eh, Starlight is fun. You'll like it." she assured him with a welcoming grin. Her eyes gleamed mischievously and her expression turned serious. "Besides that, I wouldn't like to see you kicked off." she didn't know why she had said that, and she felt quite stupid about it. What if he took it the wrong way? But seriously, Ren thought of him as a precious aid when time would come to keep the school safe and break off fights. Other students, both newbies and seniors, surely did seem to keep a respectful distance from him. Ren pondered what kind of wonders some years of reputation-building would do to him. She liked the preview, and snickered innerly.
Her eyes focused on his face, and she noticed the strange scars on his cheek and chin. She furrowed her eyebrows only slightly, pointing to the marks on his skin with the back of her hand. "Those scars" she asked in a pretty direct way "How did you get them?"
Ren was just like that, straight-forward. Some thought of her as tactless, but she really couldn't care less on others' opinions about her attitude.
