"Ok, I'll start with the one about Assana and Bronze Wing. Without them, wolves would not have ice powers, but I'll get to that story after. This is the prequel, sort of," Allita said.

He Sat down and listened

Allita took a breath, and began her story.
"Bronze Wing was the great hawk, the leader of the hawk birds. Assana was the queen of the wolves, and therefor very strong in all four elements at the time: water, earth, weather, and fire. All the animals had their own leapder, and they each had certain powers they could control. The birds of course were gifted in flight, and also the giving of power.
The hawks found themselves, some time long ago, without prey or water. You see, there had been a drought, and therefor the steams had dried up and the prey all left. So Bronze Wing went on behalf of the hawks to Assana, to ask her to help. Assana was a generous leader, and used her powers of earth to dig a trench and her powers of water to fill the trench and create a stream. She then caused it to rain, moistening the ground so plants could grow.
The hawks were very grateful, and knew they could never repay Assana and the wolves for the act of kindness and generosity. But Assana didn't look for pay, and sent the Bronze Wing back to his kind, saying the refreshed land was a gift."

Allita smiled. "Years later, the wolves found themselves in need. A flood had left them stranded on an island. The great wolf Assana was old at this point, and no longer had the strength to creat a passage through the water, or carry the wolves on wind. The new princess had not yet learned how to fully control he elements.
The hawks never forgot the kind gift the wolves ha given them. They heard of the wolves' trouble, and after discussion, they teamed up with the snowy owls to help the wolves. The snowy owls had control over the ice and snow. Unfortunately, being birds, they were unable to build a suitable bridge for the wolves. The only one that would be able to build a bridge strong enough would be the princess. So the Hawks and Owls cast their special powers at the same time, to give the power of Ice to the princess. She formed the bridge, saved the pack, and wolves have had the power of Ice ever since."
