Hiko sat in the shade of the tree, gazing calmly up at the sky with a slightly glazed eye. His other was hidden beneath his silky black hair. His eyes narrowed as he saw the black limo pull up to the school and a girl stepped out. He stayed perfectly still and the shadows almost seem to attract to him, keeping him perfectly hidden. His grew eyes, the pupils unnaturally narrowed, like a cat's blinked as he watched her walk into the doors of the school. He let out a small sigh and stood up. The movement was slow and lazy. He ad all the time in the world. And if he didn't, he would make some.
He walked to the now closed gates to the school. It was large and unfamiliar territory to him. He could already feel his muscles tensing and relaxing over and over again. He wore ragged and ripped black jeans and a ripped black jacket. Hiko didn't have a home. He was a street stray, as they called him. It was only by chance that he had met a strange cloaked traveler. Because of that encounter, he ended up enrolled here. He sighed and clenched his teeth. He tensed his legs and jumped. He easily cleared the 15 foot, barbed fence and landed like a cat, on all fours. The few students wandering around took one glance at him and took an unconscious step back. Something about him told them that, despite his tall and thin form, he was very dangerous. The sun shone down on him and his scars were thrown into relief. They were scattered across his body, adding to the aura that warned others back. He shrugged his torn jacket farther up onto his shoulders and continued walking, head bowed and shoulders hunched. He was used to being avoided. But it still hurt. AS deep longing that was just a whisper in his heart aced. He wished for his sister, who didn't care that he could kill her if threatened. Why? Because she could easily parry his blow and strike him within the few seconds it takes to blink. Because she was a Deadly Fighter and a Survival. She was two deadly powers in one.
He sighed and shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He walked into the school and headed into the office, letting the smells wash over him. He grimaced at the smell of spiced soap. It stung his sensitive nose. He blinked at the office attendant and she gulped loudly. He could almost see every pore on her body. His sharp cat like eyes took everything in with an easy grace. She handed him his schedule without a word and hurried away, eager to get out of his presence. He smiled sadly for a few seconds before looking at his schedule and heading out. He carried nothing but the clothes he wore and the scars embedded into his skin. No books or supplies.

Ren noticed a presence, a presence she did not know. The unfamiliar boy looked lonely and seemed to like it that way. Other students avoided him and he walked alone. She was getting ready to approach him and meet him, but a tug on her shoulder made her look away into the eyes of one of their teachers. She had a worried look in her eyes and spoke hurriedly.
"Miss Ren, we need your help. There's a fight near the bar."

Ren tried her best not to roll her eyes, nodding determinedly and setting off in a smooth run along Starlight's corridors. Yet, before leaving, she narrowed her silvery eyes at the newcomer. He was strange in a different way of all of them. And then she flicked her alabaster-and-charcoal hair back and jogged to the bar. Even many feet away of the Academy's bar, she heard exalted voices and cheers and whistling. She smirked in disgust and hurried up. There were always those fights between newcomers and bullies, and the teachers already knew who they should call to break them up. And in fact, Ren enjoyed it. She liked fighting, and most of all she liked the respect it had earned her.

She broke through a crowd of newbies and oldtimers, cursing fluently under her shaky breath. "Dammit, step aside!" she burst through the last ring of students and into the fighters' sight. "Now, I'd reconsider that." she raised an eyebrow at the older student, which had seemingly frozen in the gesture of punching the other.

Fifteen minutes later, she rummaged through the corridors aimlessly, feeling rather proud. Those wouldn't bother her again, and neither would the ones who had been watching. She cleaned the beads of sweat on her forehead with the back of her hand, smirking gladly. She was very early yet - there was almost one hour before classes started, but Ren liked to be early in the first day. She was about to resume the punk-rock song she had paused minutes before when something caught her eye, and her silvery eyes narrowed. It was the boy.

Too curious to resist, she stepped in front of him, with her hands resting on her hips and disguising a grin. "Why, hello there, Mr. Gloomy. I'm Ren." she didn't ask his name, but the unpronounced question sounded imperative in the following silence.

Slowly, Hiko raised his eyes to her. he didn't flinch at the sight of her pupiless eyes. He stared at her, as if he was a hawk examining his prey. "Ren." He said, committing the name to memory. His voice was smooth and tempting. But underneath that was a hint of the danger that surrounded him. He could lead you to your death with a single word. He cocked his head slightly and the scars on his face were revealed. "Your different." He said bluntly.
He cocked an eyebrow as he studied her. His eyes almost seemed to bore into her and gaze at her soul. "A Deadly Fighter I presume?" He said quietly. He made a weird motion. His hands played in a soundless patter, as if he was playing the piano.
Suddenly, he stiffened. His eyes darted to the left and he turned slightly, inclining his head as if he was looking down at the gang that advanced towards him. They were older students. Ones that weren't as afraid of Ren as the others. They sneered at Hiko and his playing hand froze in mid play. "Well looky here. It's the newbe. What's his name Todd?" The leader sneered, turning to one boy. He was tall and ugly. "Names H-H-Hi-Hik I think..." He said, struggling with his name. "Like Hick?" The leader sneered. Hiko's jaw snapped shut with an audible snap. "Hiko. It's Hiko." He said through clenched teeth. The only way you could tell that he was sowly getting his temper tested was his frozen and stiff stance and his clenched teeth. An experienced fighter or a Deadly Fighter would reconize the stance as a defensive posture. Obviously, the boys weren't very bright. "Well. Let's teach the newbie who's boss around this school." The leader snorted. With that, he advanced, his hand curled into a fists and raised. It took only that movement to sentence him to his fate. Faster than the eye can follow, as the fist went downwards, Hiko disappeared, only to reappear into the middle of the group, three fingers pressed onto the middle of the leader's throat. The leader choked and his face turned red as his air supply was limited. Very quietly, Hiko leaned forward and whispered into his ear. "Make any other move, and your throat will collapse in on itself." He whispered quietly. To anyone around, this was a sure sign that he was a Deadly Fighter. But if you looked close enough, you could see that his playing fingers had started up again, playing at a faster pace. His stance was still on defensive. He wouldn't attack unless he had to. And if he had too, he would kill the leader. His gang froze, then turned and ran like dogs with their tail between their legs. The leader's face had turned purple when Hiko released him. The leader dropped to the floor and lay still. He had pasted out. Hiko wrinkled his nose at the smell of urine. He had peed himself. He turned and realized Ren was still there. He cocked his head again, but stayed silent. The calm look had never left his face. His hand hung at his side, the fingers having stopped playing.

"Hiko. You do realize you'll get in trouble if you kill the whole school." Ren commented, staring at the leader's immoble face. She could have interfered. She knew how to set the jerks off. She was even amazed on how they had dared to touch anyone near her. Bus she refrained herself. She wanted to see how far this guy could go. And, being honest, she was truly impressed. He couldn't be a regular deadly fighter. But she masked her feelings under her usual mask of scornful indifference. She touched the bully's chest with the tip of her soft black leather boot. Even through the layer of leather, she felt blood pulsing through the guy's veins, so she removed her foot and grabbed a student at random by his shoulder. "You. Go get him some help."

Thankfully, the student knew her, so he just nodded and followed her instructions. Ren turned back to Hiko. "I suggest us to move away. You don't" she stressed the word "want trouble with the Headmaster in your first day here. He is not the kind of person you can just knock off in a fight." she assured him, pulling his arm and walking away from the place where some students were starting to gather. She only stopped at a small inner garden, without any students nearby. Only then she released Hiko's arm. "Now, where were we before that bloke interrupted? Ah yes. Yes, I'm a weirdo. Thank you." she smirked. "And yeah, fighting is my deal." she crossed her arms in front of her chest in a defiant way. "What about you?"

Hiko watched her the whole time and as soon as she touched him, his fingers started playing a slow soundless tune. When she released him, he stopped. But he remained tense. "What can he do to me? I have no parents to tattle to, no home to sentence me too. And no life to bother through. If he wants to harm me, go ahead. I've long become numb to pain. " his eyes were hard chips of storm grey steel.
He cocked his head again. "My skills," He said stressing the word skills. "Would be, I guess, Survival." He said bluntly. he watched her. He would keep his double skilled and deadly lethal sister a secret. Forever. He stared at her for a few seconds, then turned and began to walk away. "You confuse me." He said, talking over his shoulder. "Ever since I was a child, people avoid me. But not you. You walk straight up to me without a care in the world of your own safety." he said quietly. He paused then. He turned to her. "Or do you have so much confidence that you think I would not harm you if for one moment I feel I'm being threatened." he said. There was another note in his voice. Worry?

A last year, she went on a camping trip and when they camped around the fire she began to feel very warm and took off her jacket. Soon she felt like she was unthawing and became very weak. Haylee reached down quickly and touched the snow. She held it in the air above her hands and pushed them towards the fire, putting it out. All the other kids stared at her and she collapsed to the ground. Her parents then sent her to the Starlight Academy.

Personality: She is very shy and tends to keep to herself, and she likes to work alone most of the time. She has a very hard time at making friends and typically fails when trying to talk to someone.
Bio:
She lived with her family who was poor and never understood her. They often made her stay outside in the cold, which she enjoyed but never told her parents so they wouuldn't make her come inside and warm up. That one year when she went to the camping trip, her parents recieved a call and found Starlight Academy. They sent her day as soon as they could.

Kushi fixed the bow in her hair and brushed the pruple soft stuff with her hand. She straightened the collar on her dress and sighed. Tapping one of her bunny ears and watching it bounce up, she began walking. She sighed and kicked a stone as she reached the feild. There was so many places, so much stuff to do, yet why didn't she? This question she asked herself. Why didn't she go do something else instead of kicking a stone? She sighed again and looked at the water fountain. For fun, she slipped on her glove and began to play around with it, making it dance and twist into all sorts of shapes. When she got bored of this, she let it splat onto the ground. She sighed and twiddled with her bow boredly.
