(Oh lol... I knew that >.< Apparently i'm blind...)

Steph wobbled unsteadily and closed her eyes. She smiled when he kissed her forehead and slowly opened her eyes, squinting up at him, she asked, "Sh-Should we go see Rose now?" She blinked a couple times before leaning forward into his body and resting her head on his chest.

[Rose.]

"No," Zack said a little too quickly before sighing. "No, my dear. We can see her... later." There was no way he was going to see Rose, she wasn't stupid, and she'd pick up his little 'play' in a matter of seconds. Ruining his chance for anymore blood off Steph. "Hm... we need to get rid of him." He looked at his dead best friend and spat his name with venom.

[Starbaby]

Ivan freed a hand and let it drop near his side, resting in Rose's black fur. He didn't have to reach far at all as her were form was much larger than a normal wolf. He didn't look at her as he did so, it was more just an acknowledgment that she was there, a movement that didn't really pass through his mind. Fern had fallen silent but Ivan was patient and didn't speak much anyways and so nothing felt out of the ordinary. He paused, questioning just how anything could be considered ordinary at all. Thinking over the thought again, he decided this was the norm now. He held no memories of his life before being changed so he had nothing to compare it too. Ivan sighed, skipping over any further thoughts of his past life and focused his attention on the sounds of Merr and Ebony in the distance.

[Rose.]

Rose felt Ivan's hand rest gently in her fur and she let her large tail swing slightly from side-to-side for a few times before letting it become stationary once again. "Are you alright?" Rose glanced at Ivan, her expression slightly worried as she heard him sigh. Blinking a few times she too listened in on the fight with Merr and Ebony in the close distance.

Rose stole Ivan's attention with her question and he fixed his gaze on her instead of letting his eye wander the now very familiar area. When he noticed his hand resting lightly on her, he let his fingers slide down through her fur before resting his hand in one place again. He watched as her face reflected the sudden worry she felt and Ivan smiled at her, his pale lips were hidden but his blue eye echoed the smile. "I'm okay now." He assured her. Rose didn't need to be feeling any extra worry for him when Merr was already risking his life and he really was okay, at that moment anyways. He had learned that moments like these were rare and so fear never really let him relax completely, but he thought he was doing an alright job of hiding it.

[Rose.]

Rose let out a slight sigh of relief and nodded, "That's good then..." She trailed off and she cocked her head slightly to one side. Even though she couldn't see his lower face because of the jacket that covered half of his face, she could see the smile echoing in his light eye and that made her smile to see him in a even slightly content mood. "Your smiling..." She blurted the words before thinking and pursed her lips shut quickly after she'd spoken. "Sorry," She apolagised quickly and smiled weakly.

"Oh-" Ivan lifted his free hand and after pulling at his belted collar, traced his pale lips with a finger. "Yeah, I...." He paused, he hadn't even realized it himself but that he could have gotten over, it was Rose's apology that confused him. "Why did you apologize...?" He slowly withdrew his hand, letting it rest by his side as the jacket fixed itself back into its position. Ivan gazed at her, his eye hinting at the slight curiosity that whispered in the back of his head. A slow, gentle breeze passed through Ivan's thin jacket and pulled at his dark hair as it passed, it would have been a relaxing feeling if it didn't care the sounds of battle. He stole another glance at Rose before his eye followed the sounds into the trees, the dark surrounding it creating a sick looking contrast to his pale skin.

Merr smirked back at Ivan, grabbing Ebony's sword carefully by the dulled edge of the blade. "Just kiss her already." He looked back at Ebony, his smile not fading, although it was more of a mocking smile than a smirk. He moved his knee up, hoping to hit her arms, in an attempt to hold her off for a little longer.

Ebony snarled, kneed his leg whilst aiming one of her powerful kicks at Merr.

[Nostalgia]

"Exactly!" said Amiselle, rolling her eyes at Rose and Ivan. She smiled at the new girl and turned back to the fight. Almost instinctively, she reached out and started to put her shield around Merr when she remembered his instructions. She sat back down, wincing as if she was the one getting hit when Ebony kicked Merr.
