I have a question: Someone has a character, say named "Mary" and "Mary" (the character) always picks fights with "Joe" in a RP. "Joe" then makes a clone character of "Mary" without asking her. They use the character in the same role play as the original. "Mary" doesn't want "Joe" to clone her character. "Joe" knows, but ignores it. Is this against the rules? What should be done?

((I'm not either person, but it's hard to RP with people who are arguing OOC too.))

I have a serious question, but I wasn't sure who to pm. So I decided to post it here.

I was in a role-play, and it was supposed to be really depressing, which is understandable because of the title.
Well I quit it because someone in the RP purposely made their wolf go crazy and commit suicide because he got bored with this character.
I was highly offended because it was suicide and they just made the character do it because they were bored with him. It was really painful to me and I've had friends try and commit suicide. I personally don't think that suicides should be allowed on RP's. It's a very touchy subject with people, and these kids were doing it because they were bored with their character.

I don't know if it matters to anyone else, but I would have thought that they would have killed the character by the enemy because they were about to go to a war.. it would have been more reasonable that way.

I agree that suicide is not the way that people should dispose of their characters. A better way is to have them run off from the pack and then just drop their story, maybe they made it to another pack, maybe they got killed by a bear. You don't really need to know, they just aren't in that part of the story anymore. This is also better because then if the person decides the character is no longer boring they can bring them back in.

I think perhaps actual suicide should be disallowed in RPs, but mention of it remain acceptable. There could be people who want to incorporate an attempt or an attempt by a family member/friend into their back story and I wouldn't have a problem with it. Officially though it looks like suicide as a topic is considered PG-13 though.

That's what I was thinking; others in the rant thread have agreed, the suicide was beyond PG-13 so I reported it. Someone in the role-play started talking about makin bombs and taking over the world, not only off topic, but I believe it's against the law.. Although I was immature and told them they were acting like middle schoolers about throwing around suicide; they continued to talk bad about me after I had quit.
I told people in the RP rant thread, and even middle schoolers agreed that they were acting immature and rude.
Hopefully Tess does something
