This RPW is special to me because I have worked on this design for a while. Sketching it on paper, coming up with the accessories that fit it, and thinking of what to do to find its owner have been fun.
First off, a rule. NO RESERVED's. You can post WIP forms, but you have to have at least some completed. If you post a reserve, I will disqualify you.

This is a medium length competition that ends March 16th.

To win this RPW, write. Write to your heart's content. Poetry, stories, likes/dislikes... those are all fine. No drawings. No fancy coding (fontmeme, etc.) unless you only use BB coding ON THIS site.
You must have at least a name, gender, personality, and one piece of written art.
If this RPW has some sort of relationship with my RPW, Toast, HUGE bonus points. Boyfriend (Toast is straight), best friend, enemy... anything's fine outside of FAMILY. You do not have to ask my permission for a crush or dating relationship regarding Toast, but they cannot just magically become mates. (Check my sig for Toast's link)

Quiet;
Well, at least that's the way he comes off. When in public he will be quiet, but doesn't come off as shy, he simply doesn't find it all too polite to keep people with small chat. learned it from his father. If spoken to, he will happily reply, his mother has even warned him to watch his chatter, lest he talks someones ear off!

Confident;
He doesn't doubt his abilities, he knows his stuff and readily applies it if needed. He never has felt the need to shove it into other business, though it always there to lend a hand if he thinks he needed, even if he's been taught to wait for invitation. It's not that wants to push his way into peoples lives, it just how are they suppose to know what he can do if they never saw him do it? No, he better make sure, it's more neighborly that way.

Humble;
Just as he is sure of what he can do, he understands he doesn't know everything and accepts that. He's not too prideful to put himself in places that may make others think him to be a simpleton or unlearned, just as he knows that, even with the things he does well, it isn't all that special. He likes his abilities and enjoys learning new ones.

Independent;
Though he's happy to learn something new, nothing will change the fact that he's his own man. He is willing to work for others, that doesn't bother him, though when it comes to his making up his mind, it has to be his. Guess he's can be a little stubborn in this, though he considers what others tell him and won't go rushing into things, no, though after he made up his mind it's final.

Gentle;
Never really seen the need for violence, he figures that, if the other party allows, most things should be resolved with a talk. Though he believes this, he also sees the need to punish lawbreakers, of both the family rules and the actual law, he doesn't believe such things are violent, more of necessary for the guilty party to be able to grow into a better person. He is also gentle in his demeanor, often speaking softly, using the lightest touch to get someone attention, mending young creatures, just the way he moves is soothing.

Laughs easily;
It doesn't take much to make Dusty laugh his soft, quiet laughter. He takes enjoyment out of a lot of things, and appreciates jokes, as long as they don't reflect on bad things about someone. He loves to add to the merriment, unfortunately, it's very hard to him not to laugh at his own jokes, which may lessen it for the others.

History:; Born and raised on a farm, his father found learning how to handle the animals and fields more important then having a schooling. His family consisted of seven members, himself, his mother and father, two brothers and two sisters. Of the two litters, he, one of his brothers, and a sister made up the first. His brother was always the more adventurous one, dragging Dusty into some things that would get them in trouble later on. As the years went on, they both mellowed out, his brother never seemed to get over his ornery streak. It was quite surprising when he announced his longing to see other places.
After he reached adulthood he decided that he would like to see the world, get himself more out there, look at cities lights.

Relationship with Toast:; As of now, she is his boss. He likes her, and hopes to get to know her better.

First impressions:;
Feeling a little lost in this strange world, the traveler stood in place, seemingly stuck in awe. The streets, the signs, the lights... Pushing his sack back into place, he began to look at buildings, he started to understand his mother's urging to learn to read.. Still, it can't be helped now, he will find a way to support himself and enroll in a school. It would work out.

Items:;

The bracelet; Made for him by his little sister as a going away present. He rarely takes it off, and, even though it a rather cheap token, it one of his most prize possession.

Feathers; To remind himself not to talk to much, he used one of the feathers he found when out collecting such items and a piece of string to fashion it, his little sister thought it look sad, so she allowed him to use some of her beads to pretty it up. Actually, he preferred it without the extras, but since he was pretty much a sucker for her, he decided to do so to please her. The other feathers received the same treatment, she said it was to make them match.
