Would you trade your most precious character for all the money in the world?
Yes
BECAUSE
Well, first of all, it's just one character. And with that money, heck, you could buy tons of other characters. Plus, c'mon, all the money in the world... you could buy like half of Canada or something And then I could raise real sled foxes and it would be awesome But just really, some people money doesn't buy happiness... but it depends how you use it. If you use it to buy yourself a pool and people to take care of it for you, and a mansion and stuff, well then I'd be pretty happy. All the money in the world means you don't have to work, but you could still give lots to charity and stuff.. ok I'm overthinking this.
Anyways, that's just how I look at it :3
And I know characters are more than just images, drawings, pixels, designs... they have personalities too, and likes, and dislikes, and mates and crushes and everything, and they're a whole new life form that may not have a physical life but it has one in our minds. They're in our thoughts, at the edge of our math homework in little doodles. We make whole websites dedicated to them, listing their traits and personalities, their art and quirks. This is why we love them; they let us express ourselves in ways we couldn't without them. Whether they are a new being we thought up, or an extension of ourself with a fursona or persona, they are beloved. Some natural colored characters are based on real pets, alive or deceased, but they stay in our hearts and minds even after life with characters. They go from pixels or pencil to paint to clay to fabric - we draw them, we paint them, we sculpt them, we make plushies of them, we make fursuits of them. They're the characters that find a home with us, the characters we found alone in someone's sta.sh and decided to give a good home, the characters we give life to. We love our characters, our own designs that worm their way into the cracks of our heart and fill them, the designs that bring joy and creativity to people of any age. That's why we're Character Adoption Addicts.
