ebelina awaited her friends answer, still watching the bodies with the corner of her eye, debating whether or not to hit them over the head with a stick, just to make sure they were gone for good. all of the men seemed pretty beat up, nothing serious, sadly. she didn't see any limbs lying around, but they were bruised and had cuts all over their arms and legs. suddenly to her surprise, the one she was leaned above let out a faint sound, later repeating it once he had sat up. annoyed, the blonde stepped away from him, running her had through her hair. "i still vote for burying them, there's a nice piece of their boat there, one whack and he'll be dead in no time." ebelina pitched the idea to her friend, then shifting her gaze to the boy, "if you were dead, i'd be your worst nightmare." she muttered, waves breaking over her feet. out of all the species roaming this earth. a ship full of men had to crash on their island. one thing was for certain, mankind was known for being irresponsible, unpredictable and just absolutely dumb. but clearly kallisto didn't think so, as her best friend, ebelina knew that her curiosity didn't have limits. the ginger was bored of this island and would do anything to get off, even if it meant helping the men. at times, bel felt like she and cressida were the only ones who had brains, because all the other nymphs were as naive as could be. hoping and praying the others weren't about to wake up, she studied the male. "who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked coldly.

[[ sorry it's not pretty. i'll be doing my best to remain active, revvie c: ]]
parrots are not intelligent birds.
one might think that with their ability to mimic almost any sound she or the other nymphs made, they might have some sort of bird brain in there. but no, they did not. she waves them off as they flutter around her, repeating the colorful words she shouted at them just a moment earlier. she was just trying to have a little conversation: she's always liked feeling slightly superior to the creatures around her, and birds generally are not the smartest. obviously this was a mistake.
the parrots aren't trying to hurt her; she knows that much. they're just flapping around in idiotic confusion, like an ant encountering a twig in its path and being utterly unable to find its way around. they annoy her. normally cressida would say that she likes all animals, but evolution has rendered these birds some of her least favorites. obviously there was a reason she had not approached them before today. why had she chosen to come here, again?
the birds are annoying her a lot, and no matter how much she shouts at them in her mind, they will not leave her alone. and she already knows that shouting at them will not help: the variants of the word "poop" they are now cawing are proof enough of that. there's only one thing left to do: flee. and so she does, towards the edge of the jungle and onto the beach. most of the parrots give up chase about halfway to the white sands. cressida pauses, not really out of breath [she's run through the jungle for years; her agility greatly helps that], and glances around her. hopefully no one saw that: cressida the animal whisperer, on the run from a flock of parrots. that would be embarrassing. but she doesn't think anyone saw. and at least the birds didn't -
something wet and white falls from the sky and hits her shoulder. the offending parrot gleefully repeats, "dumb birds!" and flutters away.
never mind.
she gingerly uses some dead undergrowth to try and scrape off as much bird scat as she can. it's in a bit of an awkward place, and as she spins around in circles trying to figure out if she's gotten it all off - and probably looking totally idiotic as she does so - something a bit further up the beach catches her eye. a shipwreck, it looks like. they're not too uncommon. except why in the world are ebelina and kallisto out there? if it was just ebelina... well, the girl is a bit off, and cressida would not question why she wanted to go poke around a beached ship. maybe she wanted to collect bones or something. but kallisto's not quite that weird. cressida narrows her eyes, but she's never had above-average vision, and the far-off picture does not get any clearer. she gives up on the bird poop and strides out onto the sand. when they first arrived here, their feet were susceptible to the burning sand, which would heat up quite drastically beneath the unforgiving sun. now cressida, at least, is used to it.
as she draws nearer and nearer it becomes stranger and stranger. kallisto and ebelina stand over a few unmoving bodies. except for the fact that not all the bodies are still. the one directly at ebelina's feet seems to be shifting, and it's not just cressida who sees this, as ebelina steps back as if in disgust. cressida arrives just in time to catch ebelina's words, turning her head sideways to better hear: "who are you and what are you doing here?"
cressida does not come all the way up to ebelina. instead, she hangs back, making sure she's at least a few yards away from what might be corpses. to announce her presence she makes a slight noise in her throat. but she hopes the others don't pull her into this: mortals are bad news.

FOSTER HARMON

xxxxxxfoster arched his eyebrows at the way the nymph moved away from him. the boy had been expecting...what? hospitality? something along those lines. so it shocked him even more when ebelina went on to imply hitting him on the head with a plank of wood was a good idea. he wasn't sure if she was joking or not. and something told him she wasn't trying to make anyone laugh. he swallowed, suddenly feeling unwelcome. "please don't?" he offered, managing to maintain some dignity with his tone that dripped with 'i've been in a shipwreck, could you be a little nicer?'. she wouldn't really kill him, would she? still, the man made a mental note to be careful around her.
out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of skin. the hairs on the back of his neck rose, his attention snapping over to the nymph hiding in the greenery. something told him not to make a big deal of it. slowly, his eyes crawled back to the blonde, whose look was still a mixture of cautiousness and hostility. "I'm...Foster." it still took him a moment to gather the simplest of information, "i don't exactly know why i'm here. i guess we washed up here or something-" he was about to add more when seamus's voice cut him off. he turned around to watch his friend approach, a massive weight dropping from his shoulders. he was okay. or, he was alive. foster didn't miss the suspicious look he gave the girls opposite. the fact that he wasn't the only one unsure about them comforted him. beautiful people were always the most dangerous. "yeah, i'm alive." he nodded, looking the captain up and down. "you seem alright too - nothing terrible." he concluded, turning back to ebelina. "we've been in a ship wreck. can you cut us a bit of slack?" the words came out harsher than expected. he was truly a thoughtful, good humored guy - despite having a few trust issues. "a drink would be nice?" he then suggested in attempt to add something lighter, only just realizing the sandpaper texture of his throat. he must have swallowed a lot of sea-water.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx♕ ↷ ARISTELLE SKYE x tagged ;; foster + seamus [speech] xxxxxxThere were many days when Aristelle longed to witness the glorious power of mother nature, so the nymph would brew up a storm. Then, she would wander on the beach, admiring the glittering raindrops. Other times, Aristelle would dim the sky with clouds tinted with a subdued grey. Today, however, Ari looked forward to a calm day with a clear sky and the radiating sun smiling down on the island. Once she pulled herself out of bed, Aristelle glanced around, searching for her other companions. Kallisto and Cressida were most likely wandering the island like any other morning. However, Ebelina was more a night owl, so Ari was surprised to notice the nymph of the Underworld was not around. As soon as Aristelle felt prepared to greet the day, she began her stroll through the forest. The nymph was not irked by the tropical birds as much as Cressida, but she was not so much a fan of the woods. The towering trees intimidated the brunette, and she yearned to stare up at the sky. Therefore, Ari navigated her way through the maze of rainbows and plants until she could see the beach. The nymph was enchanted by the two blue expanses lying in front of her. Her toes were pleasantly tickled by the warm sand, and her chocolate locks blew in the soft breeze. While the other nymphs desired to escape their little island, Aristelle never tired of gazing upon the beauty of her beloved home. On the contrary, the brunette could not deny she had some amount of curiosity that enticed her to chase unreasonable dreams. This same curiosity lured her to the figures in the distance.
xxxxxxThere were five people loitering on the shore. At first, she believed it might be the other nymphs, but then, she realized there were only four other nymphs on the entire island. As the distance between the brunette and the group decreased, it became clear to her that mortals washed up on the shores. Two of them were standing while the other three were still unattractively passed out on the sand. Aristelle was honestly frightened of mortals. She had heard stories about them, mostly from Cressida and Ebelina, about how despicable mankind was. Ari gingerly approached the nymphs and two shipwrecked sailors. When she neared them, she caught a piece of their conversation. "A drink would be nice?" the young man suggested. From the looks of it, they were unfortunate humans who unintentionally wound up on the nymphs' island. The brunette felt compelled to aid the distressed mortals. Although she was more comfortable hiding behind her close friend, Cressida, Aristelle abruptly blurted out, "Do you need help? I know how to treat wounds." She paused to gesture toward the gash across one of the boy's chest. The other one was also scraped up, so the compassionate brunette wanted to assist them. "Um, maybe we can offer some food and a drink, too," Aristelle added, remembering what the mortal requested earlier. When she spoke this time, her voice was softer and much less bold. She was shocked she had the courage to talk in the midst of possibly dangerous strangers. A chilly gust of wind passed over them, so Aristelle knew she was nervous. The weather tended to waver when the nymph emotions started to get out of control in strange, unusual situations like these. The brunette tried to remain calm, praying to the gods that the humans meant no harm.

ebelina disgusted approach on the whole ordeal wasn't unusual, she was always bitter about everything. not that kallisto minded, she liked the change of perspective every now and then. in a situation like this, though, the last thing they needed was to anger a bunch of rough looking strangers whom were in fact not dead after all. she would have convinced her friend to revive them anyway. it was instinct that caused kallisto to take a step back when the boy shifted near their feet. while she was always ready to jump at the unknown, this seemed a little extreme. she glanced back at the greenery, debating whether she should run and take cover among the leaves once more. as she thought this through, cressida emerged, looking curious yet very annoyed.
"oh, ebelina. don't be so rash," she murmured in response, lightly resting a hand on the blonde girl's shoulder. her green eyes were cast back down at... foster. that's what he said his name was, anyway. kallisto thought it sounded rather ridiculous, but she wasn't going to say anything about it. she crossed her arms across her chest, the fabric of her poorly woven shirt itching into her skin. aristelle seemed to pop out of no where- then again the redhead could never really tell when the quiet girl showed up anyway. she nodded in agreement to her offer of water. the fresh water lagoon wasn't far from the shore, that was easy enough. maybe after a drink, they'd be willing to answer questions about their whereabouts. never once had she heard about what the world was like outside their mystical little abode. she knew there had to be more than just the cruelty cressida insisted there was. these men were injured and currently harmless, so why should they refuse help? "injuries aren't a problem, that's easy enough for me to fix," she said dismissively with a wave of her hand. "what about the other boys? are they going to be okay?" kallisto questioned, cocking her head to the side.

[[ wth was i doing with the title of my last post?! and short hehe. omg sorry aurie ]]
wait. stop there just a second. the other nymphs - all except neoma, who is nowhere to be seen - are gathered around, talking to these shipwrecked humans. cressida would've personally kept her distance for a while before chatting with them. still, she can live with their actions. but offering to heal their wounds? to wait on them hand and foot, bringing them refreshments? they know absolutely nothing about these men. and keep it up, and the men might start to think they rule the island.
cressida comes forwards, still staying slightly behind the other three. "wait. hold on one second." she studies the two men who are on the sand before them. she doesn't doubt that they've been in a shipwreck, but if they're pirates or something along those lines, it would do her good to be suspicious. "what are your names? and where were you going?" she has always imagined sailors as weathered old men with peg legs and eyepatches. these people do not fit such an image. out of nervous habit she glances around. other bodies are strewn on the sand, but they haven't yet moved. are these two the only survivors?
she eyes them suspiciously, not caring if they think her judgmental or not. "maybe we could hold off on the drinks?" she murmurs to aristelle. once upon a time she would have demanded such a thing. but now, after living with these girls for what feels like forever, she knows that all of them chafe under cressida's self-granted authority. bossiness is not a good tactic. "we should at least figure out how many of them are alive."

❝ VIC MALDONADO
-- -- -- ' A PIRATE FLAG & AN ISLAND GIRL -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
//////////consciousness washed upon vic like the foamy tide tickling the soles of his bare feet. he could feel the heat of the sand penetrating his loose, damp clothing, burning his skin and irritating the wounds he had accumulated being dumped on the beach like inanimate debris. his muscles, limbs, entire being was sore. he ached from his head, where he was sure a bruise or gash was prominent, to his twisted ankle. his hand crawled across his abdomen, clutching at his sides as he rolled over on to his back, bottom lip caught between his teeth as he gave a slight hiss of pain. with the red glow of the sunlight burning the backs of his lids, vic slowly peeled open his eyes, blinking repeatedly to remove the sand which had gathered on his lashes and marred his hazed vision. it took several pathetic attempts before the pirate had pulled himself to an up-right position, fingers still gripping his sides. glancing over the tears in his clothing, vic could spot no blood or open wounds. several grazes and bruises, but nothing that required immediate medical attention. bringing his free hand up to his forehand, vic winced as he felt blood dried along his hair-line. he did not feel particularly dizzy or unaware. his memory was slightly fuzzed but...
//////////speaking of, in fact, vic's attention was brought to his fellow 'shipmates', otherwise known as those he was being held captive by. the slightly bitter, sadistic side of him hoped that they had suffered an amalgamation of fatal injuries, allowing vic his chance at freedom, but the other hoped that he had not been completely abandoned on a desert island with no means of escape. slowly, vic twisted around, assessing the area slightly further up the beach where the other sailors had made land. he was slightly relieved slightly disappointed to discover foster and seamus alive and well, if not slightly dishevelled. what he was surprised to find was the existence of four beautiful women gathered around the two injured men. vic could barely hear their conversation, able to only catch the suspicions of a brunette female who appeared to hold the authority. vic himself remained silent, instead focussing on trying to stand. he had no willing affiliation with the four other sailors, and had no right to speak for them even if he wished it.

xxxxxxx hudson woke in a coughing fit, feeling a maelstrom of vertigo that was enough for him to discover a nearing urge of retching. however he didn't - doing his best at keeping the measly bile of his stomach acids at bay. instead, the youthful sailor pushed himself up on shaky, bruise-speckled arms and winched at the triggering of a prickly numbness which emanated from his entire body, the worse of the throbbing having seem to have lightened from his back. he sat limply with legs apart and head between his knees. in through the nose and out through the mouth, hudson thought absentmindedly as he slowly, forcefully, attempted to even out his ragged breathing. he lifted his head slightly, glazed blue eyes scrutinized on the boisterous ocean and it's raucous waves as they eroded the whiten sand towards his feet. oddly enough, his mind was utterly blank, a void without the usual imprisonment of thoughts. and truthfully, he couldn't yet find the will to actually jump start it, so he allowed himself a few moments to mentally gather his bearings as the shock slowly drained from his system. years on the boat had yet to prepare him for this: a inevitable crash that could have lead to his own demise; he wasn't dead, but judging from the scaring wounds, there had been a hazardous possibility. hudson couldn't even reiterate the forthcomings of his situation or even the dire conditions which caused the boat to crash. he merely found himself there, on a deserted island - alone.
xxxxxxx however hushed voices told him otherwise, as they could be heard from a short distance behind. he finally decided to get up, using the strained muscles from his legs to get upright and closed his eyes tightly upon the dizziness ringing along the base of his skull. his hand automatically went to press onto the curve of his left hip as he felt a sharpened pain, feeling the torn fabric of his shirt start dampening with a heavy dark liquid. he took slow steps, walking shakily towards the individuals approximating nearby - simply to find two of his corresponding peers and a handful of unexpected, alluring woman surrounding them. they were conversing, he could tell by that much; although hudson hadn't been able to avidly contribute his standings, having been incapable of hearing any strain of words being exchanged by them from his vicinity. rather than approaching them firstly, he traveled toward another acquaintance seated adjacent to the individuals: vic. "need help?" he asked, offering a vacant hand to the other lad.

FOSTER HARMON
xx⇊xx ⇊xx ⇊xx ⇊xx ⇊xx
tagged; pretty much everyone.
occ: i'm really sorry if this post makes no sense.
please excuse any terrible writing cx
xxxxxxfoster stood on the sand with his arms crossed. not in an arrogant, over confident kinda of way. i guess you could say he was embracing himself. with dull, tired out eyes he stared at the greenery behind ebelina, awaiting the nymph's reply. he had attempted a smile at Kallisto when she told her friend not to be so rash, but was unsure if it was appreciated or not.
the appearance of aristelle freshened the drama- she emerged from the trees. the girl had the same angelic features as the others. foster was convinced the new arrival would be more trouble - something seemed off about them. he still had no idea where he was. the last thing he remembered was the moment before the wreck. and he didn't know who these alluring ladies were. they appeared to live on an island, somewhere they had washed up. the brunet could not see any buildings, or other human marks. and surrounding the coast was a large array of rocks. the more he thought about it, the more curious the man became. he decided to ask after the intentions of the latest girl to emerge from the forest were found out.
he was relieved when aristelle offered up some help, gesturing to seamus' chest, covered with small crimson pools. foster smiled gratefully at the brunette, "thanks." he muttered, tentatively dabbing at the slash on his cheek. he was glad this one seemed concerned about them, it was good to know he wouldn't die of thirst. at the plant nymph's question about the rest of the sailors, foster glanced behind him, having forgotten about the others- which was a terrible thing to do. as the first mate, he felt almost responsible. which was stupid, really. he saw the rest of the crew on the sand, and a wave of guilt washed over him when he realized he had barely given his crew mates a second thought. torn between going to aid his fellow sailors, or staying and finding out more, the sailor hovered. and during his hesitance cressida appeared on the sand with them. the idea of helping evaporated when she put her input forward. the way her eyes studied him made the first mate uncomfortable. "I'm foster, and this is seamus," he gestured to the man to his left. if he wanted them to answer his questions, he would have to respond to theirs. "we just washed up here. we don't mean any harm." he added the last part, wanting to make it clear they weren't looking for trouble. whether they got it or not was a different question. he heard a voice behind him and glanced over his shoulder. another two sailors were awake. they looked a little rough, disorientated, but foster resolved it could have been a lot worse. however, his brows did tug into a small frown when he saw vic standing up just fine. perhaps it would have been better for the prisoner to die in the wreck- foster knew vic didn't like him. he simply nodded at hudson to make sure he was okay, before turning back to face the creatures. "and speaking of 'here', where is 'here?' and who are you?"

[ this is awful, sorry. i'm currently muse-lesstagged; everyone on the beach
how could they be this stupid? she thought to herself as the girls offered the sailors drinks and hospitality. ebelina sighed, shaking her head, men were dangerous and she refused to be calm until they were either dead or back on their ship, sailing to wherever they came from in the first place.
standing back, she listened closely as they introduced themselves, foster and who? the blonde girl tried to memorize their names, oh yes, seamus. more gained consciousness, another brunet and a black haired boy, who didn't seem very comfortable with the whole situation, as if he wasn't part of the crew, leaving only one of them still laying on the hot white sand, knocked out. the one who called himself foster, didn't stop asking questions, from where he was, to whom he was with, it didn't end. "this is an island, if you haven't noticed." ebelina hissed rudely, glancing at kallisto, who yet again gave her 'the look'. "and my name is ebelina." the nymph added. this was definitely the worst day of her life, she never asked for some pack of mortals to wash up on the shore, why were the gods punishing her? she didn't know. the blonde was ready to storm of into the woods and take her anger out on some poor animal, oh wouldn't cressida hate her for that. as two more men came over to join the party, ebelina arched her eyebrows, "and who are you?" she asked them, once she finally calmed down.
