she appeared to have a mix of several emotions dancing before her eyes as she peered at the male sitting, from curiosity to almost a challenge. she took his gaze almost as a threat, as he seemed to be peering at her an awful lot. maybe it was just a normal amount of looking, but she felt uncomfortable under his gaze considering it wasn't frequent someone directed their attention towards her. she was referred to as an ignored girl for a reason.

an eyebrow raised at his answer. "your father sounds like a bit of a coward," commented the inky-haired girl with a sneer, walking over and promptly seating herself a meter or two away from the other addressing her. she'd heard his name.. didn't it start with the letter l? maybe it was luke.. perhaps logan? yes, logan. that was it. darker eyes flickered over the other, taking in his features. he had a broad figure, and it was easily assumed half or more of his weight was muscle. men like that could break a meeker girl like mena in half if she dared bring the arrogance into this that she surely had below the surface. despite being venomous now, it was likely she'd even out later and turn out quite sweet towards the others.

"i want to go live in austria. no set reason; the place has always drawn me in with pictures in books and such," her voice was nowhere near as acidic as it was earlier, though still pretty stern. her words emerged from nowhere, though, and she imagined they were quite unexpected. "when you're ignored more than half of the time, it's best to run away and disappear. no one will notice you're gone." it was a touchy subject for the girl, though she didn't say much more on it as her gaze wandered to one of the other young men: kindle. such a strange name to match a seemingly-strange boy. "speaking like that only makes it seem like you're seeking pity. if we want to succeed it's best to stick together. traveling alone isn't all-too fun, you know."

she glanced up, and realized the boy was looking at her with wide eyes, before he quickly hid any sign of the emotion upon his face. she pulled the collar of her shirt up a bit, now hiding her collarbones completely.
she hadn't quite caught the boys name while she had been hiding behind the street, but she though it started with a K. she glanced over him, taking in his strong features. his dark, curly hair, the way he stood- how strong his jawline seemed to be. she then glanced down at her feet, hoping he hadn't noticed the girl had been nearly staring.
she raised her hands and wrapped her slender fingers around the straps of her backpack, lightly kicking at the stones and dirty beneath her boots. she was curious about the others that surrounded her, and she was surprised that it seemed like they had all ran away. noel looked up when the boy began talking, the boy who had been looking at her only moments ago. she let her eyes flicker over him again, listening carefully as he spoke. "I could help you hide," noel said softly, "I'm already ninety miles south of home, I can travel about ninety more." she tried to make her voice come out kind and soft, hoping that it didn't sound hesitant or weak. traveling this far already hadn't been hard at all, so traveling the distance again seemed easily possible, plus it wouldn't hurt to get even further away from her father.
she wasn't quite sure what state she was in- or if she had even left the borders of her home state, wyoming. she didn't care what state she was in, as long as she made herself nearly invisible and untraceable. it probably wasn't the best idea telling the group around her name, but then again, she didn't think they'd rat her out if someone came along asking.

xxxxxx Logan smirked when she tried to get under his skin. "Insulting my father doesn't hurt me, sweetheart. If it's out of the country you want, then you are a long way from it. Unless you have hundreds of dollars and a passport hidden in all that." He teased, his eyes flickering over her body. He liked this girl's moxie. The most beautiful snake has the sharpest venom. Logan looked sideways to Kindle. He could barely hear the soft mumblings of the boy, which just irritated him. He could barely hear Kindle, which made Filomena's comment even more obscure.
xxxxxx Logan stood up, taking his bag back up upon his broad shoulder. "So, now that we all know each other, do you all want to travel together? Since we are all runaways, it wouldn't be a bad idea. If we stick to the woods, we can get farther from town. But staying hear and going back to the road; neither are good options. So, I'm headed that way." Logan declared, pointing west. He planned to go deep into the woods and appear on the other side in a new town, in a new place. The farther his trail got from his father, the better off he was.

"call me sweetheart one more time," she retorted, falsely livid, her words an empty threat. either way, she likely wouldn't do anything harmful if the nickname was used again. as much as she disliked all the attention, it was interesting as she actually found herself liking this logan guy; he was intriguing. "if i did have all that money, i'd be long gone right now, and you wouldn't even be talking with me right here. probably beneficial to me, if anything." her lips curled up into a faint smirk, eyes on the man as she felt a gaze sweep over her. she paid little mind to it as her attention fell back on kindle.

filomena paused for a moment at the tense atmosphere, the lack of conversation unnerving. once logan spoke up once more, though, obviously being the one to take charge, the female took a moment to stretch before standing as well, hoisting her backpack's strap one of her shoulders. "i'm coming along, whether you like it or not. sounds better than being alone for the rest of who knows how long." her voice almost sounded annoyed but she gave a roll of her eyes and took a few steps in the direction logan was pointing, shifting her weight absently as her eyes fell on noel and kindle for their own answers. this could be interesting if you asked her.

@everyone active; would you prefer if I removed the two unactive characters or just have short posts until I can get in contact with them. since it's a boy and a girl who are inactive, it won't require the spots being filled again and I can just remove the spots from the roleplay so it's just the four of us. it may be a few days until they respond to me, meaning we'd be stuck in the same spot for a few days.they have been inactive for two and three days, and normally I have a rules that removes them from the roleplay if they don't post for that long. it's up to you guys what I do, since you are a main part in this roleplay and I'd like to make you guys happy.

as logan asks if they wanted to travel together, kindle frowns lightly. glancing in the
direction the boy was pointing, he sighs seeing it was all woods for as far as he could see. when
the girl, filomena talks, responding to how logan had called her sweetheart, kindle looks at her,
his eyebrows raising at how rude she was. when she tells that she would be going with logan,
he bites his lip, knowing he'd have to make a decision soon, since it was now up too him and
noel. just as he was about to answer, he spots someone running towards them. Pointing at
her, kindle blinks unsure what the girl was doing.

as the girl continues to come closer, he backs towards logan and filomena. "I'll go with you."
he says, quickly deciding he wouldn't make it on his own, or if he took noel's offer. as the girl
running begins to make noise, he winces knowing it would attract a lot of wild creatures, something
he didn't want to happen since he was unprepared to deal with an attack from anything.
"she's so loud, and why is she running at us?" kindle asks, speaking louder so everyone
could hear him. he wasn't sure why there where so many people in the woods, he had never seen
any of them before meaning they had to live somewhere else.
