Oh, I know, you should try to project your daemon constantly for the rest of the day - with a party hat on! Yay! And cake and stuff! You could project 'um as a cake... but I don't think they'd appreciate that. :3 Don't you be getting any ideas. :|

Oh my goodness, I love the party hat idea XD I'm going to project him with one of those New Year's noisemakers as well, haha. He's been my official dæmon for two years now, but I've had him as an imaginary friend/character for longer than I can remember. I think he turns eight or nine years old today, technically? Although personality-wise he doesn't really have an age, he's too mature to be a child but at the same time his personality isn't very teenager or adult like. He sort of just does his own thing, I guess that's just how dæmons are XD

I tried to figure out what age Kar acts like, but I just can't. Sometimes he acts like a teenager, sometimes like some 25-year-old arrogant layabout, and sometimes like this infinite thing of wisdom and knowledge and random facts about nothing. One moment I'd put his age at 18, and the next minute he'd act like he's been around since the beginning of time. The only thing I know for certain is that he acts older than me.

I always used to have an imaginary friend when I was little... I think it was a pony! I was never a pony. *not amused*

Happy CIE-day, to you! :D If I were gonna celebrate, I would probably let him use the craziest forms he wanted to and do all the stupid stuff, that he would normally be too uptight to do (he now proclaims the he is not uptight). Why is it that the majority of daemons so easily get offended and always act snarky or a little arrogant? Or is it just mine? XD

What is your daemon's CIE [coming into existence] day?

Sil's CIE Day is January 4th, my half birthday! Though the idea of her is one that dates back to years and years ago, I only really solidified her in early 2013.

What's your Daemons CIE day?

Well to be honest I first discovered Daemons through the His Dark Materials Trilogy so I would sort of want a daemon and imagine one every now and again but I only really got into it through The Daemon Forum. So we don't have a CIE really but we just go by years starting when I joined TDF so I've known Dominix solidly for roughly seven years this year.

In one paragraph in The Golden Compass-by Philip Pullman, Lyra mentions that:
"It was such a strange tormenting feeling when your daemon was pulling at the link between you; part physical pain deep in the chest, part intense sadness and love. Everyone tested it when they were growing up: seeing how far they could pull apart, coming back with intense relief."- quote from the Golden Compass

Although daemon's are more apart of you (in this world) then in Lyra's I still ask:
Has anyone ever tested this pull? If so then did you feel what Lyra explains or nothing at all or something different entirely?

Just reading that at the time made me get shivers! And just to be annoying, Altair (my daemon) tested this theory by flying directly away from me. He got about 5 meters away before he came zooming back and cuddling me. My daemon and I both personally feel as Lyra and pan (and the people of her world) do!!
