Ink came up to the surface again and tried to swim, but another wave came up and pushed him underwater again. This time he swallowed lots of water and stayed under the surface, starting to drown as he panicked...

Merr dived down, holding his breath as he had been taught as a pup. He resurfaced with Ink on his back, smiling weakly. "So where to? I'm helping you now. It'll be alright." He dived down as a wave swept towards them, going right over his head. He resurfaced again, growling to himself. "Stupid waves eh?"

"Who are you?" Ink whined, flattening his ears. Maybe Merr didn't know he was blind. "What are you doing?"

[Solanum]

"Names Merr, and I'm helping you. Now where are we going?" His gaze flicked to Ink for a moment before he had to either dive or jump once again. He chose to jump, as it would be easier for Ink to hold on.

"Do you know Yara?" Ink coughed, pricking his ears again. "My son desperately wants him back, and apparently Yara was a father to him, so he hates me now..."

[Solanum]

Merr almost choked on some water as he held back a laugh. "Know him? He is my evil psycho of a brother." He smirked up at Ink, although his smile faded as he heard the rest of what Ink was saying. "Oh... That's terrible. Why does he see Yara as more of a father than you?"

"Before he was born, I died, and since Lavender disappeared Yara's been like a father to him..." Ink sighed. "...I'm a bad father..."

[Solanum]

Merr frowned at Ink, his ears drooping. "You have a reason at least. My father was always too busy to take care of us. My father was an alpha of the Darkwood pack, you probably haven't heard of us, but we were always at war with the Darkpath pack on our borders. My mother was a healer, so she had no time to care for us." He sighed, but his sadness didn't last long. He had to jump to avoid another wave.

"I know how you f-" Ink suddenly rolled off of Merr's back and fell back in to the water, going straight under. Before he could swim back up, he suddenly yelped and swallowed some water- A horrible pain surged through his back leg as if boiling hot water had been poured on to it. He had been stung by a Box Jellyfish. ((I know, kinda weird to be stung by the world's most dangerous jellyfish...X3)) He panicked and tried to swim back up, but the jellyfish stung him again in exactly the same spot, which made it even more agonising. The blind wolf managed to kick it away with his good leg and swim back up before it got to him again. "Slight...Problem..." He coughed, shutting his eyes tightly with the pain...

Merr growled angrily. "What the hell is that doing here?!" He frowned at Ink, grabbed him by the scruff and turned back. "We have to go back. We have to help you first. Yara is tough, he always was, even as Jazz. Took twelve wolves and impaired movement to kill him as Jaista." He jumped back, allowing the current to take him part of the way.
