Noticing the others waiting for me, I trot past them both, giving Shadepelt's flank a light flick with my tail in passing. I cast Russetclaw an amused expression, and bolt into the forest, towards the Riverclan border. I realize that it's been some time since we've seen or heard anything of the other clans, and since the next gathering isn't for several more days, we won't get to see that they're all still alive. I do worry; the Riverclan border is almost scentless, and the Shadowclan border... it's hard to tell, what with the Thunderpath and all. I give my head a shake, following the curve of our border, still well-marked on our side.

Stonekit:
I can finally open my eyes. Mousekit has been able to see for some hours now, and she's constantly chirping about this and that color. I was getting kind of worried I'd never be able to see. But now, at last, I am well able to open and close my eyes on command. I can sort of see colors, but its still kind of blurry.

Mousekit:
Oh the wonder! It's so amazing! The glory of all these colors; even if I don't understand them yet. The red of the sky that I catch beyond mothers protective tail, the grey of Stonekit, the black of Shadekit, the cream of Tinykit... the brown of me! It's wonderful! Even if mother seems a bit tired.

Refreshing scent markers as we go, I decide to find out just why Foxfur seems so interested in Russetclaw. I'm not jealous. At least, I don't think I am, but that isn't the point - I need to see if maybe she should like him. If maybe he's good enough for her after all.
