what is the difference between
a fursona and a main character ??

a fursona is a representation of yourself in animal form and a main character is a character that you use/like a lot.

so while a fursona is basically you as an animal, (or a mascot for you) main characters don't have to have any similarities to you whatsoever, even if you still have a connection with them.

personally my fursona is the same as me personality wise, including likes, dislikes, etc. some people like to have a ton of fursonas for different interests and things but personally I just have one character for it.

A main character is just a character that you love, spoil, develop etc
Just a normal character, although you pay it more attention than some of the others.

A fursona is your representation as an animal.
My sona has my personality, his markings mean something to me personally etc He is tailored to be me, and he is far closer than any main character can be to myself.
