Bummer, I know the feelings you are feeling. And I think in the next few years I will be feeling it more often because we are getting bees and bees are prone to mite attacks and attacks from other mammals...

Sorry to hear about your feather baby. ): Losing pets is always difficult, especially one you've raised. Now that the hawk knows it can get an easy meal, it'll be back. Best to take preventative measures. Good luck keeping the rest of the flock safe.

We didn't raise her, but one of our finches, right in front of us, she fluttered up, died abd fell to the ground. We have two different kinds of hawks in our area, well, many different kinds, abd an eagle. We raised 3 starlings. I hope they dint get get them. In so sorry for your loss. Cuddle with your other chickens. , keep them feeling safe
