Flash nodded slightly to the pups enthusiasm, though as she looked out at the many surrounding trees and envisioned a burning forest, she began to have second thoughts. She had learned from her two long years of independence from her birth pack that hard work was the only way to achieve your goals properly; shortcuts were never the answer. However, these borderlines could be miles around and would take weeks, maybe even months, to mark on her own, since the "Beta Male" had grown impatient with her "rudeness" (Flash scoffed at this yet again). Besides, any enemies approaching the territory would not simple stand there and wait a month for the borders to be marked. Doing things quickly would be safer... well, provided Flame didn't start a forest fire. If she did, not only would Flash be scolded for such irresponsible acting from encouraging Flame to use her fire here, she would be seen as a weak wolf whom couldn't even mark the borders by herself; who needed the help of a small pup to accomplish her tasks. She bit her lip, now defiantly reconsidering this action.
So, suddenly Death walks out and your ready to accept any help you can get? Is that really how dependent you are? Haven't you learned anything from being on your own for so long? No wonder you were the runt of your family. Flash heard a malicious voice already scolding her for simply just considering this idea. But... The she-wolf's silver eyes glanced down at Flame, seeming so suddenly excited to help an adult. Perhaps she could say she did this for the pups own self esteem; to teach her about pack responsibilities early. That wouldn't look bad at all, it might even look like she was being a responsible adult doing her part to train the pups. With a sigh to dismiss her worries, she looked down at Flame and regained her dignified stance, squaring her shoulders and gesturing for the ground as she alighted down. Once all fours were placed firmly in the grass, she sternly said, "Be sure to make your flames
small. As soon as they burn into the ground and leave a dark mark,
extinguish them. I'll show you where the borders are located." Shaking out her pelt and stretching her wings, she took flight again and began to hover over the borderlines.
{Weeeell, sorry for the long delay XP. *Rubs hands together evilly* We're starting to get into Flash's past now.}
