The Fruit Glider, AKA an FG, is a species in close relation to the Sugar Glider - small winged fluff balls. They come in a cascade of colors, and are highly intelligent and social for their family. They can form gigantic colonies among the treetops where they reside, a series of nests and niches connected by branches, bridges, vines, and more. Only recently discovered, these clever creatures have some of the most unique abilities to adapt and develop personalities, learning as much as they can as fast as they can. But their hunger for knowledge is not as great as that for nuts!

Growth
    - Babies at most are born at a length of one inch from nose to tail tip, and weigh near 0.5 oz
    - Children and Teens are any length in between, typically weighing 2-5 oz
    - Adults grow to about six inches from nose to tail tip, and weigh close to 6 oz
Physical Attributes
    - Gliders come in a whole rainbow of colors, and rarely have less than three
    - Gliders eat a variety of plant life as well as many insects and bugs. They do enjoy the occasional stolen egg or sweet!
    - As the name suggests, they have skin flaps, or 'wings' so they can glide through the trees
    - FGs do NOT have whiskers. The lack of these is compensated for by their acute night and day vision and their extremely sensitive large ears. These ears are so sensitive they can feel the wind of a fruit fly beating it's wings
    - Their front paws are like small hands with five fingers, and their hind paws have four toes
    (Read more under 'Variations')

Social Attributes
    - Fruit Gliders are commonly referred to as FGs
    - They are highly intelligent social creatures, living in treetop colonies of over 50 at times
    - Nests and homes are often quite colorful and made to the glider's unique tastes. They can be in tree holes, on open branches like bird nests, and sometimes even hang in midair! The majority collect small fascinating trinkets for lining as well as soft materials
    - Gliders tend to be extremely gentle, and will only attack as a last resort. Most only bite in extreme annoyance at the most
    - Personality is astounding in it's development, anything from a friendly tomboy to an old grouch can be found in the species

Genetic Disease
    - Immature Syndrome, or IMS, is a disease that takes hold in adolescence or childhood that keeps a glider in a state of lifelong youth. They may not breed
    - Short Wing Disease, or SWD, is a mutation where the glider lacks it's normal wings for flight. It cannot fly

Tail Mutations
    - Long tail: the most common, being an extremely long fluffy tail that is typically striped. Normally longer than the body. Other designs are more uncommon, but still can be found with some light searching
    - Bob Tail: An uncommon mutation, the tail is extremely short
    - Kangaroo Tail: the rarest tail mutation, the glider has a long tail reminiscent of a kangaroo rat

Hairdos
An uncommon occurrence, a glider may grow hair long enough for a hairdo. The style will match up to the glider's unique personality and flows with it's already existing markings and colors.

Other Mutations
Other mutations are in constant discovery, and leave many shocked and pleased with the abilities of these rodents. You never know when a young glider may be the host of a new defect, or be born with genetic splicing

    - Respect everyone here
    - Do not bribe for anything in this adoptable
    - Do not steal another persons glider, or the species as your own.
    - Do not complain if you don't win
    - If you do not want your glider anymore PM the designer; it will be put up for re-adoption. You may request for it to be gifted to someone.
    - You may own three gliders - this number is open to change, but shall be the starting number so others can enjoy and adopt
    - No spamming, please... this gets on nerves quite easily. Spam will be reported
    - Feel free to ask questions, but if possible, it's preferred that you PM them to a person who can answer them
    - Do not revamp a glider without permission from the artist
      Revamp policy:
★ You may not modify the lineart
★ You may not dramatically change the design intergrity
★ You may not change genetic or physical traits the glider possesses
★ You may simplify the design with permission from the designer, but it must remain in a similar feel
★ You must have owned the glider for about a month
★ You may add items to a glider so long as they are first cleared by the designer
★ Unless made with hair, the glider cannot have hair added without first gaining permission from the artist (small fringes/bangs are just fine)
★ Facial expressions are open to change for personality purposes
★ Edits/additions to lines besides the face (tail, ears, fur, etc) must be cleared by the artist and DragonLoverHere
    - Do not ask to be an artist/moderator; DragonLoverHere shall post/pm when she is in search to hire
    - Do not draw the glider as an adult if it's not an adult! Speed growth is not tolerated
    - Customs are not available to the general public
    - If you are banned from Fruit Gliders, we reserve the right to re-adopt your gliders
