She returned the playful gesture, then took a bite out of the mouse and chewed thoughtfully. Swallowing, she curled her tail over her paws, ears twitching. "You are a pretty 'great' friend, you never cease to amuse me." She purred.

He set his jaw at the kittypet's words, and was about to say something when Lionstar spoke. He raised a brow at the leader, thinking he had gone soft in the brain. Kittypet's aren't supposed to be bold. They are a twoleg's pet! They need to stay in their twoleg dens and leave us alone! He thought with a growl, rolling his eyes.

She was taken aback by his reply. It left her speechless for a moment, until she regained her ground. "You have no claims to this land! It belongs to the housefolk who bought it." She snorted matter-of-factly. Turning to the other cat who spoke(Hawkheart) and made a face. "I know this territory quite well. I've been in this area many times before, and I've never seen any of you around here!" She protested, lashing her feathery tail. She heard her name being murmured by a smaller she-cat behind the giant moose in front of her. She gave her a pointed look but let her gaze shift back to the two toms who had spoken.

Lionstar laughed at Rain's retort. "My kind have lived here for many seasons, little one. And you look fairly young to know anything about the history of this land." He flicked his tail, "Anyways, we have been marking a border around the land we own to warn kittypets like you stay out. Unless you don't leave Duskclan territory I'm sure Redthorn over there will happily help you." He nodded toward his fellow warrior.

Blackpaw smiled sweetly and took his share of the bite. The warm and juicy meat danced on his tongue as he chewed. "This is why I always try to get up early - fresh prey brought in from the dawn patrol. " he rumbled.

His gaze switched from Lionstar to the kittypet. The leader was clever, hiding his threats beneath a layer of calming jests. Interesting. But if this kittypet didn't leave, he would be able to 'help her leave,' as Lionstar put it. Just the thought made his claws itch.

She paled, looking around for a moment, before steeling her eyes. "And maybe I wanted to join your little group?" She growled out, her voice laced with suspicion. She had always wanted to see what the group's home had looked like...
