Carson pushed his feet hard against the leg of the table, causing his chair to spin around a few times. He did this a couple more times before he began to feel nauseous and had to stop. When he stopped, his dizziness made everything seem blurry for a second, and he looked around the room confusedly when he heard someone come through the door. The blurry form slowly came into view, and Carson recognized it as Miles and his dog, Abraham. "Hey Miles," he greeted. His gaze drifted to Darcy, who was engrossed in reading something on her iPad. When she looked up he smiled, hoping to catch her attention so he could ask her if he could sit by her during a portion of the trip. He sighed when she didn't seem to notice him. He walked up to Emily after she had taken her picture. "That's a really neat camera, Emily. I can't wait to see all the neat pictures you take during this trip." He turned towards Griffon and spoke in his direction, "Speaking of trip, shouldn't we be going?" he said, shifting his weight impatiently from foot to foot.

Griffon drove up to the library, parking near the door. He speed walked into the library and up to the meeting room, leaving his two cups of coffee in the van. He hadn't slept well last night, so he needed to insure that he stayed well awake. He burst into the door, out of breath. His eyes scanned the people present, "Sorry I'm late, guys. At least I knew you couldn't leave without me," he said smiling, holding up the keys to the volkswagon. "So, you ready to go?

Griffon smiled to himself as he listened to the girls talking about the maps and places to stop. "Sounds exciting, girls!" he said, about to say something about leaving, but the question about where everyone was sitting caught his attention. "Good question, Skylar. I believe that you are sitting in the middle, Miles and Gavin can sit in the back, along with Miles's Abraham, and Carson can sit wherever he can find a seat. Of course, I will be sitting in the driver's seat," he said, awkwardly laughing. He was cut short by Carson's question about leaving, "Uh, yeah, I guess we should be going." He clapped his hands to get everyone's attention, "Okay, if everyone is ready, I believe it's time to go." Griffon went over to the door and held it open for the others. "Let's go have some fun!"

Shoving mine and Arabella's maps into my backpack, slipping my hood off my head. lets go! I said. I walked up to Carson hey, you wanna try get in next to me? i asked nervously. this was gonna be harder than I thought. And I don't think I have enough Batman comics for me to use that excuse all the time... I really hoped he said yes. I started walking down the stairs and to the car outside, I leaned up against the light blue and peach Volkswagen. The couches looked so comfy....I just wanted to get in. I pulled out a bobby pin and started picking the lock.

❥ Emily smiled at Carson when he complimented her camera. "Thanks Carson, though it's a bit old and the photos take some time to develop and sometimes come out blurry if my hand shakes since theres no anti-shake on this camera." Emily told him. Honey was pawing at her ears and meowing, hearing and annoying ringing in them. Emily sighed and massaged behind the kitten's ears gently, trying to relax the cat so she could sneak her out.

Emily almost jumped up from her seat, but Honey wouldn't like it so she calmly stood up. She got her things and drink before hiding Honey in her bag. She placed the bag's straps over the small suitcase's handle and carefully went down the steps to the entrance, but froze when her cat meowed right by the Librarian's desk. She turned her head and looked at Emily. "What was that?" The lady asked. Emily bit her lip, thinking up a good response. "My ringtone's a cat meow? What's so bad about that?" Emily told her before leaving. The librarian gave her an odd look before going back to work. Once she was safe outside she gave a relieved sigh and walked over to Darcy.

I followed all of them out, trailing behind everyone as I pulled my backpack and duffle bag with me. I didn't really care where I sat, as far as seating arrangements go. Whether I was in the middle or in the back was fine, so long as I could manage to steal a window seat.
I stood by Emily and Darcy when we gout outside, admiring how cute the car we would be riding in was. Volkswagen were always some of my favorites. My older sister has a red Volkswagen beetle that was really cool, it was an older model that our dad bought her a couple years back. Me, though, I didn't have a cool car. Oh well.
I glanced around at everyone, hoping we'd pile in soon so I didn't have to hold these heavy bags any longer. I was hoping I didn't pack too much, but at the same time I was thinking I could have packed too little. We were going to be gone quite a while, right? Eeep, i hope I brought enough money...

I heard a small click as my pin found the right position. yes! It worked I exclaimed with a huge smile. I opened the front door and motioned Emily in. Now, can you open the middle and the back doors from in there? I asked. They probably thought I was some criminal, but hey, this is what having many obsessions gets you. Griffon would probably flip, that would be funny. I also knew how to hot-wire a car, but Griffon was coming. I couldn't be bothered. I started fingering my green lantern ring on my finger and murmuring the oath

Gavin sat in the seat, listening to everyone talk about the trip. When Emily pulled out her camera, Gavin struck a goofy face for the picture. He crossed his eyes and stuck his tongue out, blinking as soon as the picture was taken. He laughed to himself, eyes landing on Skye. He quickly looked away, not wanting to be awkward. She was just so pretty and so sweet, always laughing and smiling. He wanted this summer to be a time of fun but maybe they would end up dating. Even though that would be weird for all the friends. Gavin shook his head and got out of his thoughts when Griffon said his name. He was going to be sharing the back seat with Miles. "Dude nice!" he said, reaching his hand over to give him a high five. Gavin grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder, following them out of the library into the parking lot to get into the van to embark on their journey. Once they reached the van he pushed to the front of the line. "Me first!" he called, trying to open the door but it was locked, He hung his head in sadness and waited for Griffon to unlock the door.

❥ Emily thought for a moment, deciding whether to listen to her friend and feel uncomfortable going into the car before Griffon got there, or wait. She chose wait. "There's no middle door, and we should wait until Griffon gets here, I don't want him mad." Emily replied, biting her lip. When Gavin looked all sad she gave a slight laugh. Griffon, please hurry, we all want to go and can't exactly wait. Emily thought hopefully.

She had brought all of the money she had saved for the trip over the months, any planned on buying more stuff like photo paper, art supplies, clothes, and anything that looked interesting and wouldn't take up to much space like jewelry or trinkets.

Carson listened to Emily talk about her camera and looked closely at it; he hadn't seen one like it in a very long time. "That's super cool," he said, a bit distracted by what Griffon was saying about the seating arrangements. Aww, yeah he thought when he heard that he could sit where he wanted. Maybe he would be able to squeeze in next to Darcy, his best friend. During the past few weeks of planning for this trip, he hadn't been able to talk to her much, and he felt the need to catch up their missed time together.

He walked out of the door and down the stairs, grabbing his suitcase on the way past the front desk. "Thanks for watching this for me," he said to the librarian. "No prob," she replied, not even looking up from her work. Carson hurried outside to join the others, and as he approached he could hear Darcy reciting the Green Lantern oath. He walked up behind her and put his arm around her shoulders, saying the last part of the it with her, "...Beware my power, green lantern's light." He laughed and patted her on the back, "You always did like that superhero stuff. Hey, you left before I could answer your question. I'd like to sit by you for a protion of the trip, we have some catching up to do," he said, grinning.

Griffon watched everyone file out of the room, then he shut the door. Walking down the stairs, he stopped at the front desk. The librarian looked up, "Can I help you?" she asked, obviously annoyed at the presence of a bunch of rowdy teenagers in her quiet library. "I'd just like to tell you that we're done with the room we reserved. Bye!" Griffon said, smiling at her before turning and walking out the door. "Alright guys, don't get your knickers in a knot, I'll unlock it for you," he said, noticing that they were getting a bit impatient. He went to the driver's side and realised that someone had already picked the lock. His heart skipped a beat, "Oh, crud. Someone broke in! They better not have taken my suitcase!" he shouted, getting in and looking where he had put his luggage. He sighed with relief when he saw that it was still there. It must have been one of these guys he thought, guessing someone decided to play a joke on him. "Very funny, who did this?" he asked, pointing to the open door.

I smiled up at Carson as he recited the rest of the oath with me you still remember it? And yeah that'd be cool. Warning, I just started reading a new Batman series and may be anti-social or I just won't shut up about it I was grinning from ear-to-ear. And just to make things better, Griffon came down and saw the car door. I raised my hands in a surrender position not me. I swear! I took an oath and I am bound to it I said referring to one of the Lantern Corps, I never said which one though. I dropped my bobby pin and kicked it under the car. I peeped into the window and saw his suitcase dude, chill, your case is still in there, no ones stolen your make-up I was still smiling. Yeah I was all for super heroes and that but that doesn't mean I'm on their side. Plus villains are always more interesting. I jumped in the drivers seat and over into the middle assuming my spot as guide. come on guys! let's get this baby on the road!

Skylar nodded at Griffon, that seemed good to her. She continued to silently slurp at her drink. It was warm and full of flavor, and she has to stop herself drinking the whole thing. As they all walked up to the car and Gavin tried to open it, she laughed. Maybe she could snag a seat in front of him? It looked like Carson and Darcy were sitting together, leaving her and Arabella. Skye walked forward, poking the girl's shoulder. " Looks like it's you and me, Ari! "
