Okay, I'll try and explain something about the boat pups:

The blanket have a boat on it because the dogs are based on aquatic mammals! (Otters seems to be what people see them as, I see them as beavers though)
Boat = water = aquatic mammals =3

The same happened with the australian shepherd litter from March 09. Their blanket had a sheep on it, does the dogs have sheeps on them? No. Their blanket had a sheep on it because they are herding dogs =3
Sheep = herding dog = Aussies

You see what I mean?

I still don't know why they would be beavers, just the tail part. If they did have a different tail i wouold think that but for now I think they are otters. :3

Yeah, I call them the otter dogs. They are just that amazing! I love otters<3 They are also my favorite set this month.
