Looking up at him with her bright green eyes that shined with pure fear, now it was a bit easier to tell what had her so jumpy by being in the proximity of a military man thanks to the crook in her nose and the thick scar across it.

Jared - 29 - Single w/ Three Kids
Jared watched Kitty with a mild amused expression. She was a lot like his girls had been. This was about the age he had finally been able to see his ex again after finding out she had been unfaithful. He had raised his son since birth and while his son had been fun to watch, his boy, his little man, the girls had been something special too. His protective side had come out almost instantly upon meeting them. It was true, he did baby them much more than their mama did which was why they loved spending summers with him. His kids were one thing he would spend money on. "No worries, looks like she's already after her mom's job, though." He said with a small but warm smile. He was careful to keep his arms to himself, though, and a step back. Jared was an observant man and the way she looked at him and certain things about her made him realize that he made her uncomfortable as a male and possibly as a military man. Either she had been a MMA champ, clotheslines herself in the past year, or someone had hit her and he was willing to bet he knew which one it was. Not wanting to make her any more uncomfortable Jared took note to let her approach him in the future if she decided to and tried to remain as aggressiveness looking as possible. The lie and flipflops only did so much. A strong man at 6'3" with short cropped hair, hard eyes, a square jaw he wasn't exactly always the first to be approached by baby animals or children. It worked well for intimidating his soldiers but sometimes he wished he fit in better with civilians in the random times he ventured out. "Thank you ma'am." He handed her his ticket, careful to keep a comfortable space between them. Maybe it would have been better for him to find it himself.


Addi - 26 - Single
Addi curled her lip as she trotted across the deck. Was this the maternity ward or a two year cruise. If her parents hoped she was coming back with kids they would be sorely disappointed. Her eyes fell on a cute woman who looked like her water was about to break at any moment. Seemingly completely comfortable with the fact she had changed and was wearing nothing but a string bikini, Addi swaggered over to her. Might as well try to make friends. "Hi!" She said brashly, unswinging the towel from her shoulder. "My name's Addi. Want to jump in the pool with me? I can help you carry your stuff to your room." Pregnant people could swim, right. For all she knew about babies the pool water would get sucked into their urethra and drown the kid. For a doctor's kid Addi really wasn't interested in anatomy or the "natural beauty of childbirth".

For the first time in a while did Nina giggled at what a man said, especially a military man, as she gently took his ticket a new thing ran through her and she looks up at him quite shocked, "follow me." Turning on her slight heels the mother and child swayed slowly away and down a few stairs till they were at his room number which Kitty was having the most delightful time with touching and cooing while her Mommy hands Jared back the ticket and gives a smile, "I hear your nights wont have much sleep, if any, due to your neighbors for the next two years Sir." Then the three month old's eyes lit up seeing their door across the corridor, stretching out her little chubby arms to Jared figuring that a man would gladly put her down so she can go to the room. Green eyes came to rest on Kitty's reaching and Nina laughs, "you want him? Not now deary," she holds out her hand reluctantly to Jared with a small smile, "I am Nina, pretty sure you might know that since I announced it earlier, and this is Kitty. I don't pride where my eyes have no right so I did not read your name or anything else on your ticket, therefore I don't know your name Sir."

Jared - 29
Jared followed her at a distance, his duffel bag and computer bag in his arms as he maneuvered through the narrow hallway past other people. It crossed his mind that it had been a while since a woman had lead him to his room but he dismissed the thought. Nina had obviously been through a lot and it wasn't time for his immaturity to affect her negatively. Jared didn't have much experience with abuse except for the occasional stupid decision one of his soldiers made but he imagined the affect on the victim would be similar to combat PTSD, and that he had dealt with before. Flashbacks. Fear. Difficulty sleeping. Unwanted memories. Triggers. He didn't know whether she experienced any of that but before he was certain he would treat her very carefully. It was safer to assume all then to assume less and end up hurting someone, he had quickly learned with his boys. Her laugh was nice, he noticed.
Giving her a grim smile, Jared simply nodded. "No worries, ma'am. I'm used to it with barracks." Except instead of screaming drunk men and women, super loud music, and random noises that he really didn't want to hear it would be crying children. He decided not to mention to her that the sound of crying babies had been something used to torture candidates during the special forces training he had done. At least he was used to it. Jared almost instinctively reached out to take Kitty but he stopped himself before he moved. Kitty's mom was already afraid of him, no need to put that over the edge. The kid was cute, though. Shaking Nina's hand, Jared instantly apologized. "Oh, I am sorry. I am Jared. Miss Nina?" He wasn't sure what to call her. Surely she was a Mrs. someone. No kid that cute didn't have a daddy that didn't adore her.

Addi - 26
Not really a woman of any boundaries, Addi helped haul Katrina to her feet and eyed her skeptically. "Did your doctor honestly think it was a good idea to put you on a ship this pregnant. How pregnant are you? Like fourteen months?" She wasn't exactly a woman of pretty words either, apparently. She didn't mean to be rude, though. It was just the way she was. She actually thought Katrina was cute. Not bothering waiting for an answer, Addi grabbed Katrina's bags and promptly began to trot off in the wrong direction, assuming Katrina would follow her.
