I really really really despise Pop/Rap/and Disney "Artists". Why? Their voices are so digitally altered, that it wouldn't matter if they were good or bad singers. That's why when they are bad when they perform live. Some of the Rap songs contain.. erm.. inappropriate content [ah! That's the word] Boys in my class are one the verge of becoming perverts, mostly because they repeat and know the lyrics of these songs. I think they only include themes like this so it shocks the listeners and makes them more popular. Many of these artists do not even write their own songs. And a lot of these songs are just popular because the band or singer is popular. I will admit that some of these songs, like Boom Boom Pow, are good once-in-a-while dancing songs, but all the time? no. But I feel like I'm the only one who cannot stand these songs. The radio stations that play these songs give zero variety too. Name the last time you've heard a rock song on 101.3? [if this isn't the rap/pop station where you live, sorry ]

What I listen to? MCR, Greenday, Avril Lavigne[I've been tagged Goth just because I listen to these first few bands/singers, that's not right :\] Beatles, Coldplay, Ludo [<3], Feist, Jack Johnson, and some of the older bands you'd hear on guitar hero. Yes, some of these bands are popular, but in my town- no. D:

Well...I agree and...I disagree slightly.

I don't like rap music, mostly because it's very inappropriate and full of profanity and perverted ideas. There are VERY few rap songs that make my "I like" list.

I listen to very limited pop, such as Celine Dion, Backstreet Boyz, *NSYNC, and a few other older artists, as well as a few modern artists's "one hit wonders.". It just depends on the lyrics of the song mostly; profanity and vulgar ideas don't cut it with me.

As for Disney, not all the songs I like...but there are a few, like Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" and Mitchell Musso's "Hey".

With me it's mostly about what the song is saying. I absolutely ADORE country music (don't give me that look. >.>) but there are some songs and/or artists that I wouldn't listen to if you PAID me. Gar, dumb writers.

i don't like most rap songs, though there are a few that i like, same thing for pop and Disney songs, though i agree that most are over played. personally, i like Greenday, the Beatles, MCR, 3 Days Grace, Oasis, Avril Lavigne and other bands like that.

Sometimes they're old, sometimes they're popular. The only exception is rap. XD Don't like rap. I do hate "teeny-bopper songs" though, they're all so happy go lucky and I want a boyfriend and I think I'm in love, etc.

I agree with the content thing. It's SO ANNOYING how the rap songs have such horrible content, and kids today learn from those songs. It turns people into... I don't even know. 0_o

My sister HATES Disney artists because she believes they're fakes, but I don't really care about them. Some songs are good, but they would probably sound better with singers that don't digitally alter their voice. That's how I think of it.

I'm more into alternative rock anyway, like Paramore and Flyleaf ( those are alternative, right? XD ) , though I still like songs and artists from other genres, like Taylor Swift and some dance groups.

I listen to all kind of music, I just have to like it. If it's a pop song I like then I hear that song, if it's a rock song I like I hear that song. And as you the only exception is rap. I don't just not like rap, I HATE rap. It's the only genre of music I say that to. I can hear all kind of music, but rap.

And I LOVE Disney music. From the Classics. I don't like Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, High School Musical and music like that
But give me songs from The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid etc etc, now that's muxic for my ear

but i hate disney songs because then kids grow up listening to that music without discovering some really great non-disney music
and i hate rap because it usually talks about... bad... subjects... xP

I love country music too! I also like the same disney songs, but I am starting to drift away from a lot them. I hate most rap songs, but I do like a couple. Especially the dance ones. I don't have too big of a variety of songs that I like though :]
