"Come ooonnn!" Cindepaw called from ahead, her paws itching with impatience. When Batfang and Specklepelt finally arrived, she circled them and bounced around them like a wild rabbit. "So what are we doing first, huh? And who's training me first? Or are you both training me at the same time? What moves will we be practicing? Hunting or battle moves? Battle moves are a little bit more exciting, but I like hunting moves too!"

Specklepelt smiled "You will be tired by the time we finish..battle moves first. Why don't you show Batfang what you have learned so far?" She looked at him "You start, ill see if I spot anything and can correct it."

"Okay, um...Batfang, pin me down!" Cinderpaw instructed. When the black tom had done so, Cinderpaw wrung her arms around his neck and pulled herself up and over him, landing behind him lightly on her paws, and then took his tail between her teeth and yanked it hard. Batfang let out a surprised yowl and Cinderpaw immediately let go. "I'm sorry!" she apologized. "Did I hurt you?" Much to her relief, Batfang shook his head and purred with amusement. "No, not really. I'm fine, don't worry. That was a pretty good move! Did Specklepelt teach you that, or did you come up with it yourself?" "Specklepelt taught me it!" Cinderpaw replied proudly. Batfang nodded with a smile. "Ah, I'm not surprised. Specklepelt's always been one to think up great strategic battle moves like that."
