Holy crapdoodle that is a lot of pages. O_o Sorry for the delay, everyone. I don't want to make excuses, so I'll just cut to the chase and give you rabid fans what you want.
Oh and...happy birthday Z. Is a day early too much? :3 Well I dunno. You could read it on Tuesday.Dear Noobcake,
Oh lovely. Today was the day we had to go visit Emrr.
No scratch that. Besides the fact he kind of STOLE AWAY MY GIRLFRIEND...cough cough...he seemed like a kinda cool dude. You know. I get to go. Beauty wouldn't have taken me along if I whined about it. Gothie didn't come because you know...he doesn't even know him.
That sounds so weird just writing that on paper.
So we went. It was a long walk...and we drove. The parking place was huge, and there were a lot of spaces filled.
Lots of news crews.
Hunh.
Then we saw the main doors. There was a single wolf attempting to fight back a horde of newswolves, wanting to know...
"We heard the boy attacked by the statue is here!"
"We need his input!"
"Please...let us know-"
I barked loudly, and everyone fell silent. A wolf never barks unless it's something important. It's bad manners. Needless to say, the city is never quiet. Idiots.
I stepped forward towards the hassled looking employee. He looked like an intern or something, he looked pretty young. Poor dude. Hey.
He was all pale, with red eyes...and three tails.
Only thing was, Emrr was wearing a different outfit, and slight changes with clumsily done makeup and the like disguised him just enough to make him difficult to find.
Of course. The wolves didn't know what Emrr looked like. They just knew he was attacked.
Beauty caught on too and her breath caught, but Emrr sighed.
"I have some um...stuff to do! I'm locking these doors if you come after m-us. You won't want that."
The crowd fizzled away, and Emrr led us inside.
"Emrr!" I hissed as we began to walk. He led us through hallways, and into an elevator. "You're...but...you're a-"
"Crazy whackdoodle?" said Emrr happily. "Who's Emrr by the way? You talking to him?" He looked over his shoulder, over at thin air. He leaned in. "He's crazy."
"Why were you let out?" Beauty said, biting her lip so she wouldn't cry. The tears were welling up.
"Oh, I figured out the code ages ago!" Emrr said, his tails wagging. He seemed very happy. "And the nurses said I could go outside sometime. Of course, they told me I couldn't bring my friend along, so I was naughty."
This was making me feel worse. I wished we hadn't come. But at least we were bringing him inside. As we walked along, a nurse came running.
"Oh Emrr! We were wondering where you were!" She looked at us, smiling. "Thank you children for bringing him back! You must in fact be his visitors! Perfect timing!" She turned to Emrr, who was looking a little confused at being called Emrr. "Where did you get the uniform?"
"Terry lent it to me, 'cause I wanted to be outside," said Emrr softly, his eyes twinkling.
The nurse clucked her tongue as she unlocked a door by keying in a code. Emrr's eyes followed her paw. "We'll have to change this, you know," she said.
Beauty and I looked at each other as we walked in, and the nurse left us. Emrr sat on his bed, smiling at us.
"You look fuzzy," he said calmly. "Like I have met you before. Familiar people get allll fuzzy." He pointed at Beauty. "Except you got yourself some sparkle, like you're special." He grinned, and flopped down onto his pillow. "Huh. They pro'lly changed my meds, 'cause you don't make me want to scratch my brains."
I gulped, and reached into my pocket. Inside it was a small pebble. The stone wolf had dropped it. Probably from one of her stone cuts. I wondered if Emrr had made them. I placed it on Emrr's bedside table. "Just want to say dude, I believe you and all that. The stone wolf, we saw her...you know. She was real. You're not nuts dude. I don't know... how you got like this and our minds are still not pudding."
Emrr tensed as he looked at the pebble. It looked like he was on the verge of crying. "Veea. Is Veea okay? Did she hurt him?"
This was just about the first sane thing I had hear them utter, and I heard Beauty sigh.
"Yeah. She tossed him about a bit, but all in all, Veea went home safe."
"Is Veea your friend?" said Emrr, and my stomach sank as I saw a slightly glassy look was back in his eye. "His name tastes like mint, like yours. You know. Xialburg. It tastes all...fiery. Names are funny. I like them." He looked into space again. "I thought you hated butter."
We left soon after that.
My day...other than that it wasn't too big. I came home, and stared at my cell phone. Finally, I flipped it open, and minute by minute, deleted every single picture that had the imitation Gothie on it.
I had a few statue pictures too. Probably from before I knew and all. Those went too.
Bye Noobcake.
