After dinner, Tony let out a content sigh, patting his stomach as he stood up. He had to admit, Steve was a really good chef. Tony could get used to thing, he decided with a small smirk, thinking about never having to cook again. As it was, he was a pretty good cook himself, he just didn't want anyone to know that. When you grow up alone, with only a nanny, you start to pick things up. Besides, before Pepper, Tony had been all alone. He had learned to take care of himself, to keep from having to depend on others. Even though he still kept that bit as good advice, still tried to keep everyone at a distance, he figured he could let Steve cook for him. Yeah, he could do that, he thought, standing from the table. He had cleared away his dish and put it into the sink before scrubbing at his face with one hand. His happy mood was wearing off, though that was no ones fault really. He wanted a drink, he decided, but he forced that thought away. Not now.
.
.
After everyone had finished, they had moved to the living room. They had been talking among one another, learning more about Loki and Asgard while telling Loki what he wanted to know, or may want to know. As it was, Bruce was seated on one of the couches, trying to keep himself from staring at Loki, from trying to figure everything about the man out. Thor sat on a couch as well though it was not the same one as Bruce, looking pretty well at home as he grinned around at his friends. Tony sat in a chair all by himself, though not exactly in a conventional way. His back rested against one of the arm rests while his legs hung off of the other one. His arms were crossed over his chest, though they didn't block the view of his ARC reactor, which glowed with blue light through his black shirt.

Bruce glanced over at Tony after a moment, his eyes calculating as he took in the way the other man looked, the way he held himself. Stark looked happy enough, but there was something hidden behind his nonchalance that made Bruce nervous. Not nervous, he told himself, just.. Unsure of how to react. Bruce looked over at Steve to see what he thought, though he wasn't sure that the Captain had noticed. Clearing his throat, trying to shove the thoughts away, he turned his attention back to Thor, who was just finishing up telling a story. Bruce hadn't paid much attention, but he was pretty sure Thor was telling Loki about a mission they had been on not that long ago. Bruce nodded, offering an approving smile when Thor finished, though he winced a little at the volume of the god's voice. Thor never was very good at staying quiet, or having an inside voice.

"Thor, buddy, you're doing it again. You're at a ten, I need you at about a five," Tony said with a smirking smile as he raised a brow at the god. Thor chuckled and nodded, offering an apology as he tried to lower his voice. It wasn't the first time Tony had needed to say it. "No problem, Shakespeare," Stark said, waving it off. Again, he felt the need for a drink rise up, but he bit it down. It made everyone uncomfortable when he drank, and he was having one of those rare moments of actually caring about how others felt. It was weird, and really annoying. Still, he was currently on his best behavior, even if it wasn't very good. "Hey, so where is Cupid? Haven't seen him today," Tony said, glancing around at those gathered. It was a try at getting his mind off of other things, though he was sure to hide that as well. He was currently having the whole aloof, sarcastic, I don't care attitude, the one that he often used, especially when he wasn't in a good mood but was trying to be.

    --------------------------------------------------------------Steve--------------------------------------------------------------

Steve was starting to worry about Tony, the happy air he had been given off earlier was all but gone and earlier on Steve had spotted him scrubbing at his face. That was not a good sign, he would need to speak to Bruce about it, he had a feeling that he wasn’t the only one worried about Tony. Thor it seemed was wrapped up in telling his brother everything and anything that had gone on, Loki seemed to be very patient and listen to him politely even when Thor was speaking of the most useless facts. It would be fair to assume that the man had some talent in the area. The man also seemed to be able to ask questions around his brother’s speeches, to be honest it reminded Steve much of how he had been right after being unfrozen. Minus the panicking and severe angst from losing all the people he cared about.

Loki was currently seated tucked under his brother’s arm, it put Steve off a little as it wasn’t the sort of thing brothers normally did but from what Steve had piece together Thor was rather overprotective of Loki and he seemed happier than Steve had seen him in a long time having his sibling within his reach. Taking a glance around at the others as Thor recounted their last mission he noticed that Bruce was still fixed on Loki. It was surprising to him that Tony had yet to make even one comment on it, this worried him more than anything else, normally the man would be having a field day with this.

Instead he was sitting with his arms folded over his chest. Bruce had turned his gaze off of Loki and rather seemed to have picked up on Tony’s behavior just as he had, when the over man sent him a glance he caught his eye and gave him a nod to show that he also was worried.

    --------------------------------------------------------------Loki--------------------------------------------------------------

Listening to Thor recount tales many of which Loki would not remember for lack of paying attention was most certainly an amazing feeling as it was just as it had been back in Asgard when Thor would return from an adventure or hunting trip. This didn’t stop him from flinching every now and again when his brother’s voice traveled above the level he could handle, especially with him sitting so close. Thus it was that he found himself rather grateful to Stark when he requested his brother lower the volume of his voice. Stark’s mood had shifted greatly and now it seemed that he had left behind the happy mood that had radiated from him during the dinner, rather he seemed like he would prefer to be in another location. When he spoke again before his brother could once more begin it took a few moments for Loki to recall who ‘Cupid’ was, it was true that he had been expecting to see the archer, however he wasn’t sure that would happen tonight.

It was strange and rather new for Loki to be in a place with friends of Thor that did not feel the need to shout over each other every other moment, it also was very new to him that not one person had made a comment on his form. The last time he had ventured out when Thor had requested he visit with his friends from another realm it had ended very poorly with Thor needing Loki to stop him from starting a war due to the fact that he had been flirted with by the once called friend who had been given the misfortune of assume Loki to be a women. Not to say the Loki hadn’t been flirting back, it was just that Thor had only heard the line from the noble. Loki was pulled from his thoughts of the past by a light sound he almost couldn’t hear, his ears gave the lightest of twitches as he strained to find the sound again only to be unable to find it. It was only a few seconds later that the sheet of metal he had been told was something called an air duct and in fact not a passage way was opened up, a man dressed in a purple-gray outfit came out of it. He felt more than a little lied too.

    --------------------------------------------------------------Hawkeye--------------------------------------------------------------

‘Note to self, take the stairs next time.’ Hawkeye had been trying to see how secure Stark Tower’s really was, and in the process almost lost his head to a totally unneeded fan. Who the heck still had fans in air ducts anyways? Turns out the tower was a bit harder to get into than he had thought it would be. Carefully he slid the screws out and emerged from the system. The first thing he noticed was that there was another man in the room, the second thing he noticed was that that man was tucked under Thor’s arm much like he had seen Jane at the very few time she had been here. Clint deiced not to think about that right now. Rather he chose to greet his teammates “Sorry I’m late, I wanted to test the security systems, by the way Stark I found a few flaws. I’m going to guess from green-eyes here I missed something important.” Giving the room another glance he chose to add “And who the heck still has fans in their Air ducts?! I mean honestly I haven’t seen the damn things for about a year now and the last time was in India. Do you know how annoying those things are to disable and enable again?”

Currently at Stark Tower...
Bruce and Thor had both heard Clint before he had dropped down from the ceiling, having heard him before he actually escaped the vents. Bruce had gained some enhanced senses from his radiation, but more than that, the Other Guy could hear better than him. Bruce had felt him twitch at the sound, which was what had clued him in. Thor on the other hand, well, he was a god. His senses were more fine-tuned than others as well. Looking around, it seemed that the only one who hadn't expected it was Tony. Bruce sighed a little, seeing how his friend was looking at that moment. He hadn't been happy before, but now he was glaring. He had jumped when Clint had suddenly appeared, Bruce had seen that, but he didn't mention it. No need in making him more upset.

"Hey Clint," Bruce said, turning to look at his friend with a smile. He paused for a moment while Hawkeye ranted about the fans before chuckling, nodding his head. "Okay, I think he understands," he said, raising his hands in submission. "This is Loki, Thor's brother. He's here visiting from Asgard," Bruce supplied, gesturing over to Loki. He wasn't sure how the god would take to being called green-eyes, so he had wanted to supply a name. "There's soup in the kitchen, if you're hungry," he added.

"Yes, there is soup, but it is lacking meat," Thor warned Clint, making a face. He had planned on introducing Loki himself, but Bruce had beaten him to it. Even so, he grinned, his arm tightening around his brother for a moment before returning to normal. He only half-noticed the hug, so happy to have his brother by his side that he was doing things without really realizing it. Turning to Loki, Thor spoke up again, though he was careful to keep his voice at an acceptable level this time. "This is friend Clint. He is known as "Hawkeye" here, for he has the eyes of a Midgardian hawk. He is very skilled with his bow," Tony said with a grin, though his voice was very serious. Though his friends had explained to him that Clint's eyes weren't literally those of a hawk, he was not sure they were correct. It was a very serious matter, even without that; Clint was a great warrior and Loki would appreciate his skill with a bow. At least, Thor thought so.

Tony was glaring still, though he eventually looked away, his jaw working for a moment before he stood. His anger shut off and was replaced by the look he had previously worn. He looked at ease again, totally aloof as though nothing in the world could matter. He made a show of stretching for a moment and yawning, as though everything Clint had said didn't bother him at all. "Yeah yeah, security, fans, sure," he muttered, waving it off. "The fans are helpful," he said after a minute, as though that should have been obvious. "Anyway, what flaws?" he asked, feeling unhappy about being told he had messed something up. Any flaws in the security were flaws in him, and that was unacceptable.

God darn Hawkeye and his need to make all of his entrances surprising. It often struck Steve as odd that the man had yet to murder anyone via a heart attack, now that he gave it some thought he noticed that he had no proof Hawkeye hadn’t. Clearing the rather horrifying yet amusing thought from his head Steve greeted his teammate “Hello Clint, you know that we have a door right?”. Maybe he was afraid of doors? Cap could swear he had heard about a phobia of entry ways, maybe that was it? It worried him a bit more that he had managed to get in without the voi- JARVIS noticing him.

Loki was grateful to Thor for managing to keep his voice down as he warned both Clint of the soup which cause Loki to suppress a laugh at his brother and then also to warn Loki of the man’s title. Hawkeye? It only took a glance for him to assure himself that the man did not really possess the eyes of a hawk, still the thought was an odd one. Given that this man seemed to be of a fair amount of closeness to his brother, Loki choice not to take revenge for the comment on his eye-color, he really would rather not think about the fact he had green-eyes even though no one else in his family line did.

As for Clint he was now more worried about Tony, the man seemed to be in a bad mood. He moved towards the kitchen to get some of the soup when he heard the question to which he answered “Every 17th rotation cycle of the cameras outside leaves a seven second gap that doesn’t cover the air duct entrance, also the laser sensors are pretty easy to take care of with mirrors once you’re in.”

Steve’s worry for Tony had only escalated, he was going to have to ask Bruce to help him keep Tony from drinking tonight. As he had learned from Bruce, Tony didn’t take very well to failure. When he actually heard what flaws Clint had found he gave his friend an incredulous look before he spoke up “How long did it take you to find those, and why?”.

Having just gotten the bowl of soup that had been placed on the counter for him into the Microwave and turned it on, Clint threw a smirk at Cap before retorting “It only took like four hours tops. I don’t like to let my guard down in places unless I know that I couldn’t sneak into them. To be fair even SHIELD hasn’t passed that test yet.” . No place had ever passed Clint’s tests. He really wasn’t fond of letting his guard down anyways, the last time he had done that he had been abandoned by his only family member. It seemed like a much safe plan to just keep a mask up, no risk and nothing to be gained by taking it off. Well besides dealing with those stupid therapy sessions SHIELD had made him go to at one point when one of his pre-Coulson handlers had insisted that his unwillingness to take orders like some dog must stem from a deep seated childhood issue. The amusement from screwing with the therapist had only lasted about three sessions and in order to get out of the whole thing he had needed to fake a recovery, luckily the therapist wasn’t very smart. She was quite nice though, she had even let him take his bow into her office.

Four hours. Four hours? Four freaking hours? That was it? Are you kidding me? It should have taken- No, more than that! It shouldn't have happened at all! Shouldn't have been possible! If Clint had been able to figure that out in a measly four hours, just think of what could have happened to them, to all of them. All because of Tony's incompetence. This was unacceptable. Unacceptable and almost pathetic. Not even "almost" pathetic. This was pitiful. Tony Stark, Anthony Stark, was better than that. He had to be.

"Okay, thanks for letting me know. I'll fix it," Tony said simply, as though this news wasn't bad at all. He seemed flippant, as though he didn't really care. He even waved a hand in Barton's direction. "You can do another test tomorrow; it'll be fixed by then, easily." With that, Tony glanced around him, unwilling to talk about it any longer, not going into detail about what exactly he would be doing. "So Loki," he said somewhat abruptly, "Are you going to be spending the night here? You know, sleepovers and stuff?" He asked with a smirk, "I have several guest rooms. You can pick one out for yourself. And if you think you'll be visiting more often, you can always make it your actual room. Everyone else has one," he said with a shrug. With that, he grabbed himself a glass, poured a bit of scotch, and sat back down. He didn't drink it yet, just held the glass in his hands, studying it for a moment before turning his gaze back to Loki.

Bruce raised his brows as Tony offered Loki a room, surprise registering on his face. It wasn't something Tony did, offering stuff like that up. Stark was a very..private person. He didn't trust anyone, and all of the team knew that. He trusted them to an extent, but not even Pepper had all of him. Bruce suspected that only Jarvis was privy to the real Tony, to all of him. It was sad to think about, that Stark felt that he could only really trust a robot, but such was Anthony Stark. That's why it surprised the scientist so much when Tony offered a place up to Loki. I mean sure, he was Thor's brother and all but still. That wasn't something Tony did. It simply.. Did not compute. Still, Bruce didn't say anything about it; he feared that mentioning it would make Stark take it back.

Instead of speaking, Bruce remained looking rather shocked for a few moments before he was finally able to wipe the expression away. Clearing his throat a little, he looked down at his hands before turning his attention back to Thor and Loki. Like the others {pretty much everyone but Tony, really}, Bruce was somewhat interested in the way Thor held Loki. It was oddly intimate, not something brothers on Earth would do. Rather than acting like brothers, Thor's arm around Loki made them seem more like a couple. Of course, Bruce wasn't going to say that! Thor would probably punch him through the wall, just as the Other Guy had done to Thor. Bruce smiled a little at the thought, but didn't say anything.

"Oh yes, Loki will be staying with us for a time," Thor said, nodding his head as he grinned once again. He turned to look at Loki then, looking a little sheepish. His voice had risen again as he had explained, making him feel somewhat bad. "Apologies brother," he said, still grinning sheepishly. "You should take a chamber for your own," he said, trying to keep his volume at an acceptable level. It was much more difficult than it should have been, but Thor never really tried unless Loki really wanted him to. Loki was tired from his use of magic, so Thor wanted to make him more comfortable. If being quiet would do that, then he would stay as quiet as he could.

Steve watched Tony for any reactions and he seemed to be taking the knowledge of the flaws quite well as far as he could tell. Then again this was Tony and he still had yet to figure the man out, he could very well be planning to murder someone over this. Not that he thought he would. Within reality though, Tony was a walking paradox; he was smart enough to program a robot to act like a person and also to build a suit that’s powers could surpass that of a tank yet still he would drink beyond the limits of what was even close to reasonable, stay in his lab for days at a time without eating or sleeping. For goodness sakes the man had almost passed out the last time he had locked himself in the lab. Steve would say he knew enough of Tony to call him a nice person, he would risk his life to save someone else in a heartbeat, on the other side of the coin though he could also just be a jerk at times. As far as Steve could tell there wasn’t any sort of rhyme or reason as to what would set Tony off into this sort of shell of hatred

His worry returned at full force when Tony offered Loki a room, and then got a drink. It was hard to tell which should worry him more. Personally he was more conceded by the drink, maybe he hadn’t taken the flaws as well as originally thought? Steve tried to calm himself, it was most likely just him having a drink. It couldn’t do much harm right? Well that was what he was hoping for anyways.

It surprised Loki when Stark offered him a chamber of his own within his household, he had thought that he would share a room with his brother as he had so many times before. Some sort of unspoken rule had been put in place when they were far younger that whenever there was a shortage of space of any kind the two of them would be able to share a tent or room. Not that this was particularly wrong. Often this arrangement was for the best for the one time Thor had attempted to share a tent with another, Lady Sif to be exact, the two had both stayed awake throughout all of the night trying to insure that they kept in the least possible contact with one another. Rather than voice that wagon of thought, he instead chose to thank Stark “That would be most appreciated, yes.”

It was only about then that Loki noticed the blue glowing light on Starks chest, it looked quite like the symbol on his armor with the only change being that this one was blue. It also did not seem to be attached to any form of under armor or clothing nor was he able to detect any sort of magic coming from it. With an unmasked gaze he studied the odd thing for almost a full minute, even so he was unable to make out what it was or what purpose it might have. The light continued to frustrate him for another thirty seconds before he finally asked “What is that odd blue light on your chest and what purpose does it serve?”

Barely a second after the question had been asked was when Pepper chose to walk in. At her arrival it seemed like the entire easy-going and light atmosphere in the room shifted into that of impending doom. It was a very well-known fact that Pepper and Tony had dated, it was not very well known that their break-up had not in fact ended in some sort of war between the two. The media had twisted the story from them both decided that it was a bad idea in the first place and they really shouldn’t have started it to a horror story of heart-break and in a few places cheating. Pepper found the whole thing quite amusing and she was fairly sure the Tony felt the same way, it would seem however that no one in the avengers had figured this out yet and were still thinking of their break-up from the media’s viewpoint. This meant that whenever the two of them were in the same room everyone acted as if the world was about to blowup and tried to keep them away from each other.

Eh, what they didn’t know would most likely serve as a form of amusement for her. “The meeting went well, the building designs were flawless and they’ll be able to start within the week. They’re going to need a fair bit of help with JARVIS though, moving his core is going to be a pretty delicate process and they aren’t sure what the best was to go about doing it is. I also started applying for all of the permits.” She reported as she moved to one of the empty armchairs near Tony and sat herself down, as she talked she scrolled through the last three items in her in-box, flicking them to the appreciate place.

Stark looked down at his chest when Loki asked about his reactor. He didn't know how to answer that without getting into a story that would make him remember way too much later that night. Before he had to answer though, Pepper entered the room. Tony stood from his seat immediately, holding his arms open wide as he said, "Pepper, my dear!" He did it half-way to make Pepper smile, and half-way to make everyone else uncomfortable. Realizing he was still holding his drink, he refrained from taking his first drink out of it as he sat it on the table, gesturing for her to join them.

Tony listened as she spoke, nodding his head. He looked pleased, though not as smug as he normally would in this situation. "Good," he said simply, nodding his head approvingly. At the mention of Jarvis though, he shook his head. "Tell 'em not to worry about Jarvis. I'll take care of him myself," he told her. It was a big deal to him, letting people around Jarvis' core. It was essentially the AI's heart and brain, and were anything to happen to it.. Tony didn't let his mind go there. No way, he would move Jarvis on his own. It was a trust thing; trusting someone with the most important thing in his life, well.. That wasn't going to come easy.

When Pepper walked in, Bruce offered her a small smile and a tiny wave, though he felt pretty awkward. He had heard the reports and seen the articles like everyone else, and he had believed them just like everyone else. It made him sad inside, that the two of them had ended everything in such a way. It appeared that it hadn't affected their working relationship though, which was good he supposed. At the mention of plans and things, Bruce glanced between Tony and Pepper, looking a little confused. He had heard about Tony's plan to make the Tower the Avengers Tower, but he hadn't thought that meant renovating. He had assumed that they would just stay in guest rooms and things.

Casting that same questioning gaze, he eventually stopped on Pepper. "Not that it's really my business," he said, though it sort of was his business, "But what designs are you talking about?" he asked a little hesitantly. Knowing Tony, he was planning something elaborate and crazy. The man just didn't understand subtlety. While he waited on an answer, Thor decided to speak up as well, causing Bruce's gaze to shift over to the two Asgardian brothers.

"Ah, Lady Pepper," Thor said cheerfully, casting a dashing grin her way. Unlike the others, Thor didn't really understand the news and things about the breakup. Really, he just didn't care. It was unfortunate, yes, but it did not make either Midgardian mean less to him. He had grown fond of Pepper during his time on Midgard, and while it was sad to know that she and Stark had not stayed together, neither of them seemed to upset by it. This made Thor believe it was for the best, so he accepted it.

"Lady Pepper," he said again, still grinning, "This is Loki, my brother." He had pulled Loki closer in a half-embrace as he said it, grinning as he gestured over to the other god. "He will be staying here for a time," he said happily, "And will be receiving his own chambers!" Tony offered a little shrug when Thor said that, though it bothered him a little. It would probably clue Pepper in that something was bothering him, and he really wasn't up for talking about it right then. Tony had suffered from some pretty terrible nightmares the night before, and he was starting to get back into that sort of mood. He became quiet as he fingered at his glass, finally tossing it back to take in the burning liquid of his scotch. Well, at least he had tried.

Pepper gave a nod at Tony’s words. To be honest she hadn’t been expecting anyone else to be allowed near JARVIS’s core. The way Tony acted about him you would think he was a person and not a machine, not that Pepper hadn’t had her doubts at times. “I’ll tell them to stay away. Should they prep his new room or would you want to see to that yourself as well?” She asked already having guessed at the answer. Taking a glance around the room her eyes settled on Loki, she couldn’t say that she had expected him. He and Thor looked nothing alike and although she wished that she could ask him questions about Asgard she was worried that she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from asking him if he had kids. Pepper really couldn’t see any good way to ask someone if they had given birth to an eight legged horse so she chose to just not ask.

‘This is rather strange’ was roughly a summary of how the mood in the room shifted when the women arrived. There seemed to be something going on that he was not privy to at the moment. Taking a good look it only seemed to be affecting the Hawk, Captain and Banner. Loki attempted to discern the root of the uncomfortable air that had set in the room, he found himself lacking the knowledge to do so. For a second he considered asking but quickly decided that would not be the best course of action given the way Stark had tensed up at his last question. Instead he chose to nod politely when introduced and greet her “It is a pleasure to meet you.”.

“The same to you.” Returned Pepper mirroring Loki’s nod. The alcohol in Tony’s hand didn’t worry her until she heard that he had offer Loki a room, that was not Tony-like at all. Which means something had gone wrong, quickly she racked her mind scanning over a quick list of things that could have happened but nothing seemed to be coming up that had gone wrong today. It must have happened when she wasn’t here. Pepper scanned the room to see if anyone else seemed worried only to have her eyes landing on Steve. ‘Not yet, I’ll talk to him later.’ She reassured herself before turning to Bruce to answer his question before Tony could.

“We decided that since the Avengers are going to be staying in the tower, it is going to need to get some upgrades done. Partly to up security seeing as we’re most likely going to have to deal with bad guys trying to break in while we sleep. The other part is going to be modifications to the floors, some of the old office ones are getting changed into training areas and one of them is getting fortified pretty much as much as physically possible and then some, Tony is moving JARVIS’s core to there so that on the slight chance someone does manage to get in they won’t be able to touch him.” Bit of a long explanation but it did save her from having to answer fifty questions on the matter.

Clint had moved from the kitchen to the living room now carrying his bowl of soup as he drank from it. Damn this was awkward, Pepper and Tony both seemed to fine with each other in the room but Clint was not so sure. The files that SHIELD had contained a well-placed warning that the two of them had a pretty bad break-up and the media had confirm that one. Still they seemed to be able to move pasted it so he guessed it was probably for the best that no one bring it up. Listening in on the conversation happening around him, Clint plopped himself down on the armchair next to the couch Loki and Thor were currently on. The two of them were just weird, seriously there was no way these two were brothers, the two looked nothing alike and the way Thor was holding Loki was nothing like how brothers hugged. Luckily for him, Clint did still have some self-preservation and chose not to make a comment about it.

"No way," Tony said to Pepper, refusing her question immediately. "I'll take care of everything related to Jarvis or the boys," he said, referring to his bots. After that, the conversation turned away from him. That was good, and it was bad. On one hand, no one would be looking at him, so he could think about all the stuff he really needed to think about. On the other hand, he would need to pretend that he didn't appreciate not being the center of attention. Sometimes, playing Tony Stark sucked.

"Yeah yeah, it's nice to meet Loki, we're all having an extended sleep over, blah blah blah," he said with a smirk. Yeah, that was good, draw some attention, be a sarcastic jerk. Good job Tony. As Clint returned to join them, Tony picked up his scotch and took an actual drink, though his eyes only flickered to Clint for a moment. Yep, sounded like he was getting drunk tonight. Getting drunk, then working on updating the security. Maybe he'd work on Dummy a little while he was doing it. Who knew where the night might lead?

Bruce ignored Tony, as he had learned to do pretty quickly. "That's actually a good idea," he said, casting an actual smile over to Tony. It didn't falter, even when Tony rolled his eyes, mumbling something along the lines of 'of course it's a good idea, I had it' and 'I'm a genius.' "Thank you," he said then, ignoring the scoffing sound that came from his friend. By now, he had learned full well that he didn't need to pay attention to Tony's antics. His friend was, after all, a drama queen.

Thor grinned around at his friends, though he wasn't paying much attention to them. No, he was too happy about being next to his brother again. How he had missed this! The feeling of his brother tucked under his arm, pulled tightly to his chest. His brother seemed to be getting along well with his friends, and that was good. He had expected nothing less; his brother was intelligent, he was witty, and he was very very good. Thor's chest swelled with pride as Loki had greeted Lady Pepper, at the way he was reacting to the strange ways of Midgardians. This..this would be good. Perhaps Loki could stay with him for a time, longer than a few days. Maybe Loki would stay even after he was healed. Thor could not help the hope that bloomed within him, even though he knew it was not wise to harbor.

Loki was now getting rather confused with Stark. When he had first met the man, he had not seen any sort of hostility coming from him, if anything the man had seemed quite nice in his own sort of way. Something must have transpired to change him into the man before him now. Taking a closer look at his actions, Loki slowly began to see faint signs of a mask being worn. The Norns knew Loki had worn his own so many times before. Carefully Loki went over his memories of the evening to attempt to find what may had gone wrong, perhaps Loki had said something out of line? It was the only thing that he could come up with as an explanation, he made a note in his mind to apologize as soon as the others had left. Loki knew far better than to hold his normal pride over keeping good terms with a friend of his brothers. That was something he had learned rather well after the incident with Hogun. It was not something he wished to recall.

“I do plan to be staying here for a fair time. There is very little I can help with in Asgard and it would seem that there is plenty to be helped with down here.” It seemed like the clarification might help put Thor at ease, the only reason Loki voiced it. After having said it he also thought that it might be important to inform ‘Pepper’ of this. He knew a women in charge when he saw one, given the way she was interacting with Stark reminded him much of how Frigga would handle Odin. ‘Smirking is impolite’ Loki had to repeat to himself a few times before he managed to fight it down, trying not to recall the many fond memories he had of his mother showing who truly ruled Asgard. She reminded him so much of Lady Sif in that manner.

    {Little time skip (About an hour)}

Clint was the first of the avengers to retire. Today had been rather strenuous on him, first the mission of which the Intel he had been given was total crap, he had barely made it out of that one alive and only thanks to Phil. Testing out Stark’s security systems had also taken a lot of his time and focus, not to mention the cuts and bruises that he only just managed to hide from the medical teams. “I’m off to bed, the mission was long.” He curtly stated before taking his leave of the room by way of the elevator shaft. Not the elevator, the elevator shaft. Pepper was starting to wonder why there was even a button to open the doors without the elevator being there.

''Pick your battles' she reminded herself before glancing at the clock, darn it was late. Glancing around at the room she noticed the Loki was barely staying awake, even Steve was starting to look tired. Taking another look at her tablet Pepper ensured the Stark Enterprises wasn't going to explode overnight before putting it to sleep. Now her job was to see if she could pull Steve aside with alerting Tony. Carefully she tried to catch his eye and after a few attempts she managed to do so.
