Ink nodded and led Merr to Dark, going as quickly as he could. "I don't think he'll survive this time..." He whined quietly.

Merr shook his head. "Don't say that."

"But-" Ink was about to reply, but Dark suddenly gasped for breath and then stopped breathing...
"See? He's going..." Ink whined, looking away.

[Solanum]

Merr pressed down on Dark's chest, doing CPR as best he could. "Karrie, could you do mouth to mouth? I'd rather not unless I have to... For obvious reasons..." He kept a steady pace, applying pressure then relaxing, then repeating.

Merr's actions weren't making any difference now, he hadn't been treated quickly enough...He was dying and couldn't be saved...

"Mister? Please... Don't leave us." He stared into Dark's eyes, growling with unease. "Come on... Stay with me." He put a bit more pressure on Dark's chest, leaning his weight onto it.

Dark closed his eyes and sighed, letting his last breath go. His body slowly relaxed as he got closer and closer to death until he had completely gone...He was dead, and he had gone in a very painful way...

Merr growled, turning away. "Dammit..." He looked away, not wanting to look any of them in the eyes. "We were too late."

ZKarrie flattened her ears and looked at her dead mate. "Go." she told the others.

Merr dipped his head to Karrie, honouring her wishes. "Already gone." He walked off silently, his tails trailing behind him, dragging along the ground. He had no where to go, like always. He would have to just wander on.
