Fionna felt her phone vibrate again and pulled it out to check it, "Oh wow. My brother lives. He's on his way, finally." she said sarcastically, though inwardly she was a bit relieved. It wasn't like him to go a whole day without talking to her and she had been a bit concerned. She saw Ben talking to Ellyon at the dessert table, and still felt like she could say something to her but didn't know where to begin. The room brightened when the side door opened and Annie and Elliott came in. Fionna caught herself staring at him and turned her head away from the others hoping no one would notice.

Payson took the plates from the pink haired girl, "Thank you. I'm Payson. Is it weird that I'm here. I mean should I just go?"

Cacie hovered over by the food tables, finished with her bowl of macaroni and cheese. She sighed with slight boredom and sat down on a chair. She checked her phone a few times but it had no new messages. She rested her chin on the hard table and drummed her fingers.

Elliott walked over to Fi. "Hey. You okay?"

Fionna jumped when Elliott came over. She hadn't seen him approaching her and was so startled that she just responded "What? Were you talking to me. I didn't know you were back."

Elly nodded and smiled at Ben. "That's perfect. I'll follow you. I need to talk to Marsh then anyway. Poor Luigi isn't doing too good. But hey. Is there an open spot in Baking? I think I'm going to talk to Mz. Garcia and see if she can get me a transfer from book club. All the others wanna talk bout any more is twilight and gossip girl garbage. At least since the boys quit."

Benjamin smiled at Elly as she followed him over to Marshall at the DJ stand. "Marshall, you gave me your phone earlier, and its been bothering me, do you want it back?" He asked, pulling it out and dangling it in front of the other boy. Then he looked back over to Elly. "Hm? Yeah, there's always open spots in Baking, no one ever actually takes it... Pretty awful, huh? And such a fun class too..." Ben said sadly. No one knew all the delicious food they were missing by never taking that class, silly people.

Ellyon sighed."Id have taken it first, but for a long time books were my life. I really love baking though. I like those blueberry orange cupcakes you made that once. With the yellow fondant on top?" Ellyon knew a good bit about baking, but never found time to do it herself. Maybe...

Elliott nodded. "Yeah. Annie's got some weird family members. I wonder if she knows she's adopted?"

Benjamin shrugged. "Hey, just go with whatever you like. You like books? Read a lot. You like baking? Bake some cakes and make people eat them. Just the way life works." He said, thinking about whether having Elly in his baking class would be a good thing, or a bad thing... Ben eventually decided it was overall a good thing, since having friends was good. But it could potentially become a bad thing if she made it hard for him to focus on his assignments... Being around friends had that effect on him. "And those things? They were pretty easy, early in my baking career, as you can imagine. But yeah, I guess they were pretty good."

Elly asked, "So, like, what's your opinion on baking things like, oh, I don't know, um, cremé brulee? Or croissants? I tried making them, the croissants, that is, and it took me days to make just a half-batch

I nodded, glad he dropped it. "Okay." I replied simply, and flashed a small smile quickly before returning back to my emotionless state and averted my eyes to my feet.

Marshall gave Annabelle a questioning look before glancing up as his phone was offered to him. "Oh, yep. Thanks babe." He said jokingly and took it from the pink-haired teen, bouncing over to the dessert table like an excited child. "Can i have some now? Pleeeeaaaase?"
