Petalfur looked up at Kestrelclaw with anger in her eyes and swatted him over the head. "Don't be a mouse-brain, Kestrelclaw. There's only StarClan and the Place of No Stars, and if you're killed in one of those places, you're gone for good. There's no other place for your spirit to go."

Ivycloud was a little surprised when Petalfur swatted Kestrelclaw but she kept her mouth shut.

Kestrelclaw gave a small grunt when Petalfur struck him. "We...we don' know that," he muttered. "None o' us have ever been there b'fore, so we don' know for sure if such a place does or doesn' exist. It's just an idea."

Specklepelt walked out of the warrior den, time to get going on a patrol with Cinderpaw. Maybe she can practice scenting in the rain, lets see how she does. she thought on the way to the apprentice den "Cinderpaw, time to go." she waited outside the den in the pouring rain.

Cinderpaw spun her head around to see Specklepelt. "Okay!" She turned back to Silverpaw for a moment. "I've gotta go now. I'll talk to you more when I come back. Bye!" She stood up and made her way out of the apprentices' den, feeling a bit better now that she had had some time to rest and chat with her friend. "Patrolling in the rain is going to be fun!"

Specklepelt led the way out of the camp "Yeah well now I am sick of it, I am wet and cold. Not to mention my fur is to heavy..." she complained.

Kestrelclaw shook his head sadly as his former mentor walked off. "Poor Petalfur. It must be even harder on her than it is on us. She and Gingerfur were really close." Wanting to change the subject to something a little less depressing, he turned to Ivycloud and asked in a more cheerful tone, "So, should we go an' find Blazefall now? I'll bet she's just snoozin' away like you said."

(I know that they can't actually meet Blazefall until Cas gets on and accepts her. Just stalling for time pretty much. xP)

Cinderpaw shrugged as she walked out of the camp. "Yeah, I'm a little uncomfortable too...But I just love the rain so much that I don't even care!" She jumped in a puddle a few mouse-lengths away, splashing Specklepelt in the process.

Ivycloud nodded, "She was always a sleeper, but look at me now. I guess sleeping helped her." Ivycloud flashed a sympathy glance at Petalfur. She tried to push the thought of Gingerfur dead out of her mind.
