I'm not sure if a '09 rare is the same value as a '12 very rare or if it's an up or downgrade. Is this better for me, them, or is it fair?

What would make it fair? I'm assuming another '09 rare, but I'm not sure about demand.

An early '10 rare or an 09 uncommon or two should be fine. Their dog is just about worth an late 09 rare.

Do not give out false information. A rare is generally worth 4-6 uncommons of the same year, depending on the pets involved.

The first one is the better offer. The Scourge is only worth a early '10 uncommon due to being available until early 2010.
