When she had finished her shrew, Mallowshade shook out her rain-soaked pelt despite knowing that it would do no good and glanced around camp, wondering what she should do. She would have loved to just sit back and relax in the warriors' den until the rain let up, but StarClan knew when that would be, and she didn't want to come off as some lazy, dainty kittypet who was afraid to get her paws dirty. Like Milkflower. Mallowshade had never liked Milkflower from the start. It wasn't because she had kittypet roots— no, not at all. After all, Firepaw was a former kittypet as well, but Mallowshade had no problem with him. No, her only problem with Milkflower was that the white she-cat was far too used to living a soft and pampered life. She wasn't exactly a brat like some other kittypets were—in fact, she was quite nice most of the time—but she just didn't seem fit for Clan life. Mallowshade was jerked out of her thoughts all of a sudden when she glimpsed the unmistakable silvery-gray pelt of Silverpaw, hustling and bustling about in the apprentices' den. Every now and then, the little she-cat would poke her head out of head outside and look around, as if searching for someone. Probably Scorchtalon. Well, she won't find him until she leaves her cozy little den, or until he finally gets up and comes to fetch her himself. I suppose I may as well go keep her company until he does. Stretching her forelimbs, Mallowshade sauntered over and into the apprentices' den. "Hey," she meowed to Silverpaw after shaking her fur out once again, spattering water droplets every which way.

Sootpaw stood up "Okay" he smiled

Coalpelt padded out of the den,her pelt getting soaked,she padded out to the woods,stepping in puddles on the way
