JJ sat back. "Come in," he said.

Sarah pulled back quickly. She crossed her arms over his chest and cleared her throat a bit, though her heart still raced. She couldn't believe that she'd kissed JJ - her best friend in the entire world - twice within the last five minutes. Her mind was far from Jake and consequences right then though; all she was aware of was JJ.

His sister stepped into the room. She paused to look around for a minute, then grabbed a phone charger and left.

After she was gone, JJ looked at Sarah.

Sarah looked to him and blushed, smiling. "That was close," she breathed.

JJ laughed and nodded. "She'd never let us live that down."

Sarah laughed and nodded in agreement. "Then she'd tell her sister and blab to your parents. Oh gosh, imagine what'd happen if they found out." She shifted to lean into his side, resting her head against his chest like she had many times before.

JJ laughed, putting his arms around her. "I'm not sure I wanna know," he teased. After a moment he sighed. "What are you gonna do about Jake?"

Sarah smiled, but it faded as he mentioned Jake. She sighed quietly. "I don't know, Jayje. Right now, I don't even know what this is." Obviously she'd had feelings for JJ that she hadn't known were there, but now that she was acknowledging them, they were at the forefront of her mind.

JJ sighed. "I'm not going to make you choose," he assured her.

Sarah sighed softly. "Well we've kissed twice in the last, what, five minutes? That has to mean something. Besides; Jake never gave me butterflies or fireworks like that. But..." She sighed again and shook her head. "I just don't know." She tilted her head slightly and looked up at him. "What if..." She wet her lips. "What if we just keep it on the down-low? You know, see where this leads? Then Jake doesn't have to know and no one gets hurt." It was a stretch, but maybe it'd work. That way, they could find out if this would work between them.
