Username: Helsing
Name: Kira
Relationship with Parents: Kira has a somewhat strange relationship with her parents. She absolutely adores her father Devon and will often follow him around for hours simply observing whatever he does and joining in when she can. Once, Devon even took her to the jungle where he was born and taught her about all the native bird species, he also found her a feather as a souvenir. Devon and Kira are currently preparing for her first right of passage since she has reached the proper age while King is holding her brother's right of passage. Kira's relationship with her mother is a bit strained due to the intense jealousy she has of her mother and she often treats her distantly and cold, however Kira truly does love King even if she doesn't show it much. Kira hopes to one day overcome her jealousy and someday be able to have a relationship with her mother the same way she does with her father.
Personality: Cheery, Sensitive, Jealous, Sarcastic and Distant are the best words to describe Kira's personality. Being a usually cheery kit, Kira has very little that bothers her and can usually throw off any hurt or disappointment quicker than most sima however she is also quite sensitive and takes offence to even the smallest things sometimes. She also has a problem with jealousy and will often find herself disliking or even hating other sima due to being jealous of them, she is even jealous of her own mother. Kira is very sarcastic sometimes which has gotten her into trouble more times than she can count but she doesn't understand why since she usually just finds the sarcasam funny and entertaining. Finally, Kira can sometimes be very distant and unattached, when she is like this almost nothing seems to pull her out of it and she can sit for hours just gazing into space, if pulled from her distant state before she is ready Kira will become very moody and unhappy with the person who dared to pull her from it. Sometimes her parents wonder how she can sit unmoving for hours on end and they often wonder what she's thinking during this time however they've never asked her. In truth Kira uses this time to meditate on getting over the jealousy she hold towards her mother and that is why it upsets her so much when she is disturbed.

The Time Daddy Took Me To the Jungle By: Kira
Let me tell you all about the time daddy took me into the jungle to learn about birds. It was amazing! There were so many trees and fruit, you could even hear birds everywhere. We walked deep into the jungle, looking at leaves and the occasional spider web hanging it the trees. Eventually we stopped near a beautiful stream to drink and rest, it was very peaceful there. Daddy and me lay by the stream and he began teaching me how to identify birds by their calls and plumage. He told me that every bird is unique and that wish practice I should eventually be able to identify them all just by the sound. That excited me! We listened for a while, daddy pointing out the calls and telling me which bird they came from. After a little while he told me to give it a try. I listened for the next bird song, trying to identify it and failed miserably. Angered, I chased after the bird trying to make it stop mocking me, It didn't. Sadly I made my way back to the stream, discourage about my lack of ability. I then flopped up next to daddy, having been thoroughly offended by that bird. Daddy laughed at my immature behavior and told me that no one gets it on the first try. I just huffed at that. After a while daddy got up and walked off into the jungle telling me to stay here. I just huffed again and decided to take a nap. Upon awakening, I noticed that daddy had yet to return. I stretched out, sunning myself while I waited and listening to the bird calls. A Toucan I thought, somehow managing to identify the bird without trying. Quickly I jumped to my feet, I had done it just like daddy said and it felt great. Excitedly I ran in small circles hoping that daddy would return soon so that I could tell him the good news. About an hour later, daddy returned with a feather in his mouth and told me that if I could identify which bird it came from then I could have it. I studied the feather for a long time and knew what it was, a toucan feather. Daddy had found me a toucan feather! I picked up the treasure and told daddy that it came from a toucan and explained about the one I'd heard earlier. Daddy was proud of me and we spent the rest of the day just having fun and spending time together. I learned something important that day and I still keep that feather to always remind not only to always believe in myself but also to enjoy the little things.
Well I'm done, this is it. I know that the story is kind of horrible but I just cannot do anything more. I've put everything I have into this form and have left it all here. Thanks for the chance to win the lovely kit.
