When they arrived back at camp, Batfang dropped all of the prey he had been carrying onto the fresh-kill pile except for a pigeon and plodded over into the shade of the old oak tree that he always liked to eat under.

Cinderpaw swallowed her mouthful of chipmunk and nodded. "Yes, Shadowfur," she meowed to the old tom a bit sheepishly. She chewed her next bite more slowly, relishing in the juices that flooded her mouth and the rich flavor that bathed her tongue.

(By the way, I/Cinderpaw didn't forget to feed the elders. xD I just thought I remembered one or more of the other apprentices feeding them, so I just fed the queens. owo Hope that was okay.)

Ivycloud smiled, "Fine, and you?" She playfully gently batted him on the ear.

Kestrelclaw sighed with relaxation and curled up into a tight ball next to Ivycloud. Only a moment later, however, he flinched all of a sudden and clenched his teeth together at the stinging pain that returned to his paw when he moved. "Mouse-dung..." he muttered.
