Cinderpaw let out a high-pitched mewl and repeated her actions from before— wrapping her paws around Specklepelt's scruff before hauling herself over, then bouncing forward and leaping onto her mentor's back. She clung on for a moment, pummeling Specklepelt's back and shoulder softly with her paws as if to demonstrate the way she would claw an enemy, and jumped off again quickly before her mentor could roll over onto her back and squash her flat.

Specklepelt rolled but was to late, her apprentice was already off her back. "Well done!" she purred with delight "Shall we head back to camp?"

Batfang nodded to show that he heard the tom but said nothing. Once they were well into their own territory again, he turned to Cloudsong and said, "I'm sorry about that. It's my fault that we got caught. I should have just ignored the chicken scent."

Specklepelt noded to the apprentice "make sure the kits, queens and elders are fed first then go ahead and grab something." she walked after Cinderpaw

Cloudsong shook her head, "No, you were just following instinct, I should have been paying attention, seeing as you were so focused," She licked his should apologetically.

"Let's just forget about it and get back to camp," Batfang said. He went to where they had buried the prey they had caught earlier and uncovered it, taking as much of it as he could in his mouth. Then he slowly trudged back to camp.

"Of course!" Cinderpaw called back to her mentor as she bolted into the camp. When she arrived at the fresh-kill pile, she picked up two chipmunks and a vole and carried them to the nursery. She dropped the prey at Violeteyes and Hazelfeather's paws with a friendly greeting and gave Applekit an affectionate nuzzle before turning tail and leaving to go eat something for herself. She chose a shrew from the pile and tucked into it hungrily.

(Pardon me if my posts are a little bit short or not very well-written tonight. I'm pretty tired. |D; I think I'm gonna go to bed now. Byeee~)

Cloudsong sighed and took what prey Batfang couldn't carry and walked slowly after him, her head low.

Specklepelt returned to camp, not in any hurry she went picked out a large mouse, she took it and sat next to the sunning elders and dug into it.

Pebbleface nodded to Specklepelt "someone is hungry" she flicked her tail towards Cinderpaw. Specklepelt replied to her "I pushed her hard in training today" she smiled "and she did excellent."
