Boldstar stepped on a twig. It snapped loudly.

LilyClaw opened an eye. She heard a snap. Quietly she slipped out of camp to investigate.

Boldstar looked both ways anxiously. He started walking again, more cautiously. He came to a stream and sat down beside it.

She got low when she saw the clan leader at the other end of the stream. He had not yet noticed her. She stood extremely still as she held her head low and stared at the cat.

Boldstar bent down to take a drink, his pelt glistening as it caught the moonlight.

Eclipse eyes

She sat up still eyeing the cat. Her inky black pelt blended in with the shadows. She hesitated to speak, instead she just sat up arrow-straight with her orange fiery eyes almost glowing in the night. Her large ears foucused on the cat.
