"You don't have to go. I just didn't think you would eant to stay after that," he said.

"Shh. Just...shut up for a minute." Sarah shifted slightly closer to him, her heart beating unsteadily. "We're probably both going to regret this later, but..." She leaned in close so that their lips almost touched. After a long moment, she pressed her lips to his. There were definitely going to be consequences and confused feelings later on, but right then, she just needed to kiss him. She wasn't at all sure how she felt about any of this, but she knew deep within her heart that it would most likely go well before it would go badly.

He kissed her back after he got over his surprise. Hus hand went to the back of her head.

Sarah kissed him slowly, her eyes fluttering closed. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck as she felt his hand on the back of her head.

After a few moments, JJ slowly pulled back.

Soon Sarah felt JJ's lips fall away from hers, and she slowly pulled back. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked into his eyes, her arms still around his neck. "Sorry," she whispered.

He shook his head. "Don't be."

Sarah's heart beat in an unsteady rhythm as she watched him shake his head. After a long moment of allowing her eyes to search his face, she let her arms fall away from him. She had no idea why she'd kissed him, but it'd just felt...right. Kissing her best friend in the entire world felt right. A light shade of pink crept to her cheeks as she replayed the kiss in her mind, but then she looked to him again. "I can leave if you need me to...I, um..."

"You don't have to go but if you want to... I can drive yiu."

Sarah shook her head. "I don't want to go. But I just kind of figured after that, you'd want me gone." Her blush deepened.
