"In the end, as you
fade into the night,
who will tell the story
of your life? 'Cause it's
the end, and I'm not
afraid to die."
"Nice to meet you Lily," the girl said, no emotion in her voice what so ever. The blonde adjusted the
backpack straps that rested on her shoulders. When it came to being nice, Marceline could do it, but
it depended on the person. Lily seemed nice, and she didn't seem stuck up or anything like that. If any-
thing else, this girl seemed like she could use a friend. The goth girl normally never made herself so out
and open to people, but she needed to quit being so antisocial, but that was who Marceline was. Little
Miss Antisocial. She scratched the back of her head before pulling one of the messy braids over her shoulder
and heard Lily's answer, "okay, then. Let's go," the girl said and began to walk with her new acquaintance.
The walk was quiet, and Marceline really didn't have anything to talk about. As she walked down the street,
some jerks drove by and threw a slushie at Marceline, but it missed her. Marci stopped Lily before it could
hut the nerd and she sighed, "god, I'm sorry," she said, "at least it didn't hit us," the blonde girl said, trying
to be optimistic as they walked to the milkshake shop. At the sight of the little building, Marceline sighed
happily and walked up to the door and held it open for Lily, "after you," she said softly.
