"I am not!" She said. "Put me down!" She could shoot her nbow and had about 2 dozen arrows. She had been training since she was seven. At first recreational, then for survival.

Joey snapped and lifted her up higher, before throwing her down onto the road, "Die!" He threw a knife at her hand and took off.

She let the knife drop and drew her bow. Standing just yard from the nearest she began to take arrows two at a time and shoot the walkers, not missing at all. One of them scared her though, it was like none she had seen.

Joey screamed to himself and grabbed his hair.

It was a marauder. And it was coming in fast, the last of its group. Moving too fast for her to hit she bolted, climbing the nearest tree as quick as she could. It grabbed her leg, but she kicked it and climbed out of reach.

Joey was freaking out in the road. Throwing everything.

Mattie continued to shoot walkers from the tree, hitting most. Finally she hit the marauder, leaving only a few walkers for joey to handle.

Joey saw the girl in a tree with a few walkers around her. He flicked a knife into her leg and ran.

Mattie had not seen the knife until it lodged itself in her leg. This was cruel. The zombies would be attracted to the scent of blood, and they could out wait her anytime. Eventually she ran out of arrows and was stuck in the tree surrounded by walkers. She would have to camp in the tree. She began to get to work tending her wound, though she had no idea what she was doing.

Joey came to a small town and took a few deep breaths.
