Lizzie laid on the couch, surfing through channels on the TV. One hand held the remote while the other rested on her huge stomach. The baby was due to come any day now, and she was both excited and terrified at the same time.

Rory came in after work. "I got you some food baby. I knew you were craving some."

Lizzie pushed herself up into a sitting position and grinned as Rory walked in. "Thank you so much!" she exclaimed happily. She got up from the couch and walked over to where he was with the food. "Mm, can't wait to-" She stopped mid-sentence as her face scrunched in a look of pain. Her hand found the counter and grabbed on. "Ow..." The wave of pain stopped after a moment, but she knew what was going on. "Oh God Rory, get to the car."

Rory's eyes widened and he led her the car. He had already had stuff in the car for the last two months for this moment. The carseat in the back and the overnight bag in the trunk.

Lizzie thanked her lucky stars for Rory being so prepared as he led her out to their car, which was already packed with everything they'd need. She climbed into the passenger seat and grabbed onto the handle of the door so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Another wave of pain washed over her and she gritted her teeth.
