This is James. He is a 17 year old wizard, who resides in Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is a member of the Caldwell and Herveaux pureblood lines, with both of his parents complete pureblood wizards. He has a 12 inch Cedar wand with a core of Unicorn tail hair.
James is about 6'0, and has always been the tallest in his family, even surpassing his two older brothers. He has brown hair that he usually keeps in a short cut. He doesn't wear anything special on the days that he doesn't have to wear his Hogwarts uniform, usually just a t-shirt, jeans, Converse or Vans, and a coat.
James comes from a famous pureblood family of Slytherins, so he is pretty much the black sheep of the family, being in Ravenclaw. His parents don't paw much attention to him, as his just the boring little brother other family, they prefer to fawn over his two older brothers.
James is the Keeper for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, and despite not being the most athletic, he is quite good at it. He can tell the way people are going to try to score, so he is able to catch the quaffle from most anyway someone throws it. His broomstick is Silver Arrow that he got in his sixth year.
James has a very complex personality, though usually comes across as shy and studious to others. He loves theories and belives that everything can be anyalyzed or improved, he is known as the inventor of the Ravenclaw community. He possesses quite a logical and precise mind, making him a good at noticing patterns, he can easily notice even the tiniest discrepancies between two statements, no matter how much time would have passed in between. It is a bad idea to lie to him. He also possesses a great ability to jump from one idea to another, linking them in ways that usually bewilder many other people. James cannot stand routine work, and would much rather tackle a difficult theoretical problem. He really has no limits when it comes to theoretical riddles – if there is no easy solution and the topic is interesting enough, James can spend ages trying to come up with a solution. James finds it quite difficult to explain his thoughts to others, even when it becomes obvious that their theories are not easily graspable. He may move onto to another topic before his friends have even figured out what he was trying to say. James is usually very shy and reluctant when it comes to meeting other people. However, he can also be very friendly and confident when he interacts with people they know well or talk about things that interest them. James needs a lot of freedom and has little respect for rules and traditions. He also has the problem where he is quite absent-minded, he will ignore everything that doesn't have anything to do with his current goal and will often miss important events and classes.
This intelligent guy excels at most classes, but his worst is Potions, he never really got the hang of cutting and mashing ingredients. His best though, is Transfiguration. Also, James' patronus is Fox, and shares the trait of intelligence with him. James possesses a large, long-haired and fluffy cat he named Coal. The cat has been his faithful companion for many years, though she usually stays in his room or the Ravenclaw common room when James is at his classes. He does have an owl, though it doesn't like him since it was his older brother's. James has a crush on Shaylene, as her personality has impressed him, though he also thinks Monroe is quite likable.
