The two looked nervously at each other. "we don't have a mom... and we'd rather not say who our dad is." the brother said.

"I know." Yuki smiled at him. "I heard you say you'd never let anyone near me."

"Everything's gone wrong, Karrie. What good have I done since I came back? None." Dark sighed. "It's just not worth it..."
"It's this way, dad." Ink JR appeared from the tunnel with his father holding on to his tail. "You can let go now."
The adult Ink let go of his son's tail and walked toward Karrie, but went straight past her and straight to the edge of the cliff.
"DAD! Turn around!" Ink JR cried, running up to his father.
Adult Ink went straight off the edge of the cliff and fell down in to the water below with a loud splash.
"DAD!!"
Dark suddenly jumped up on his three good legs and jumped down in to the water, afraid he'd lose his son again. He swam quickly underneath Ink and tried to get to the shore, but then he suddenly stopped as he remembered his dislocated shoulder...They both fell under the surface and started to sink.

"Karrie, I've got to do something." Ink JR growled, then he jumped in too. He was still exhausted from being overworked by the bad wolves, but he tried to forget about it. He went underwater and used himself as a float for the two- He could easily do this because the water made them light.

Karrie growled and jumped after them, trying not to panic. Water. she thought. Why does it always have to be water? She swam after her mate. "IF YOU DIE, DAMNIT, I WILL KILL MYSELF AND GO TO THE AFTERLIFE TO BITE OFF BOTH OF YOUR ASSES!" she yelled.

Barti nodded.

They aren't the ones who are about to die, Karrie... Ink JR thought as he swam. ...There's no way I'll let my family come to any harm... When a big wave came, he suddenly let his father and Dark fall off of his back and they were swept to the shore...

"Dad, are you okay?" Ink coughed, looking at Dark.
"Yeah." Dark panted, flattening his ears. "Karrie, we're over here!"
"Where's my son?" Ink whined, also flattening his ears. "Oh no...Don't tell me he jumped in too..."

"I'll look for him!" Karrie yelled to Ink and Dark. She looked around. She plunged her head underwater for a few seconds. She raised her head. "I think I see him, but I don't know. It's too dark. Why do all of you have to be black?"

"Willow isn't black!" Dark shouted. "Do you want me to go back in and help?"

Yara heard the commotion and wandered over just to watch them all jump after Ink. He snarled and jumped after them, the water slapping him as he landed terribly. He was a relatively weak swimmer, but he was determined to get to the others. It payed off. "Karrie! Where is InkJR?" He plunged his head under water but had to pull it back up after only a little while. He wasn't going to lose him again.

Ink JR floated back up to the surface of the water and didn't move atall. He had ran out of breath and had swallowed a lot of water while trying to get back to shore, and was now just floating with his face in the water...

Yara spotted him after a little bit of searching, but it wasn't over yet. Finding him was only part of the mission. "Ink! Karrie, let me handle this, you make sure they are okay." He looked over at Dark and Ink, Inkjr had been 'his responsibility' since god knows when. He wasn't going to allow anyone else to risk life and limb for him.
Diving under, he braced himself against the waves. They were so calm from under, but he soon had to come up for air. Determination and will alone kept him going. He was exhasted, his body wanting to give up and let the water take him away, as it had done his family several years before.

The adult Ink whined and stood up to go to Yara, but Dark grabbed him by his tail. "They'll be alright. I promise." He barked softly.

Ink JR went back underwater as a wave crashed in to him, making him swallow more water than before. Time was running out fast...He was close to drowning to death.
