Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.

Evan ate and when he'd finished there was still some left. He laid hianhead on Lucy s shoulder.
Rory was up with Jasper, watching cartoons with the little boy. Old ones like tom and jerry.

Lucy smiled to herself when she felt Evan's head on her shoulder. She wrapped her arm around his shoulders gently.
Lizzie had been awake for a while, just laying in bed. She yawned and sat up, running her fingers through her tangled brown hair. Mornings. Lizzie had never liked mornings, but she could hear the TV in the living room, so she figured that Jasper and Rory had found their source of entertainment. Might as well join them, right? She rolled out of bed and walked into the living room, but stopped in the doorway. She smiled softly and watched the two of them quietly. Rory was so good with kids. She placed a hand over her stomach lightly. Maybe someday...

Most of the time, Rory sat on the floor, which is where he was now. He was cross legged while Jasper sat in the gap his legs made, against his uncle's chest. The boy giggled wildly at the crazy events before him on the screen. Before then, he'd only watched newer cartoons.
Evan smiled and pressed a kiss ti her cheek.

Lizzie smiled softly as she watched Rory and Jasper interact. Jasper's giggling over the old cartoon before him only made her smile more. After a few minutes, she stepped in. "Hey guys," she greeted happily. "Whatcha watching?" She nodded towards the TV screen.
Lucy tilted her head a bit to see him. A smile tugged at her lips.

Rosy looked up and smiled. "Tom and Jerry. Jas lloves it."
Jasper smiled. "Yeah!"
Evan looked at her. "I wonder what ever happened to Red."

Lizzie's face lit up. "I love Tom and Jerry! You like it too, huh Jas?" She walked over and took a seat beside them on the floor. She didn't even care that she didn't have make-up on yet; she liked hanging out with the two of them, even in the morning.
Lucy blinked in surprise. They hadn't talked about Red in a long time. "I...I have no idea."

Jas nodded and giggled.
Rory smiled and pulled his wife close.
"Have you ever wanted to go to the forest? Just to see if he's still there and okay?"

Lizzie smiled and leaned into Rory's side, but shifted herself a bit so she could see Jasper. "You know, when I was younger, I used to watch this all the time with your mom," she told him. She reached over and ruffled his hair playfully. "I'm glad you like it, too."
Lucy sighed. "All the time," she admitted. "But I can never find the time, what with Jasper and everything else."
